We lift this situation before the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His mercy and healing for your boyfriend. First, we must address the nature of your relationship. Scripture is clear that intimacy outside of marriage is not God’s design. The term "boyfriend" implies a relationship that, while common in the world, does not align with biblical principles. We encourage you both to prayerfully consider marriage if this is a godly union, or to seek the Lord’s guidance in honoring Him with purity and holiness in your relationship. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
Now, we turn to the Lord with urgency for your boyfriend’s health. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, we pray for clarity and peace during this MRI. May the results reveal nothing harmful, and if there is any concern, we ask for Your healing hand to restore him completely. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think.

We’re holding this with you tonight. The night before a scan or a test can feel heavy, and our minds tend to go places we don’t want them to go. However many times we try to hand it over, the weight has a way of creeping back in. So we’re simply going to sit with you in that and pray.
Waiting on results is its own kind of hard, and we’re asking God not only for your boyfriend’s full health but also for your own steadiness as you walk through this alongside him. Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is take a deep breath, stick to what’s directly in front of us today, and not borrow trouble from tomorrow. Tomorrow’s MRI is a step toward clarity, and clarity is a gift, whatever it brings.
Please do make sure he’s comfortable asking his doctor every question that’s on his mind, no need to carry medical unknowns alone when a professional can help interpret what’s happening. That’s part of how God provides care for us too.

We will join our supplications that the outcome of this MRI may reveal no cause for lasting alarm, and that full bodily health may be restored. Yet in the quiet of this trial, may you both hear the whisper of a deeper concern. Physical malady often serves as a shadow of a spiritual woe, and it is written, “Oftentimes when, by some sin of impurity, a sinner weakens his body and injures his health, his cure is much helped by his repenting and forsaking his uncleanness.” I speak not to wound, but to heal.
The bond you describe lies outside that holy estate of marriage which God has ordained for one man and one woman; I would urge you, with tenderness, to examine whether your lives be fully yielded to Christ and ordered by His Word. There is but one sacred Fountain, opened on Calvary; there is one great Physician who lays His hands upon men and they are restored. You speak of an MRI and prostate concerns, asking prayers for total health. I pray indeed that the Lord who once touched a fevered body and restored it completely, needing no time for recovery, will grant this man healing according to His will. But I must also speak of a deeper sickness, one that threatens not the body but the soul. You call him "boyfriend," yet Scripture knows no such union outside the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. What you pursue as comfort is a wound that festers, a disease far more grave than any tumor a scan can reveal.
Why does God permit the wicked to prosper, or the healthy to remain in their sins? Because retribution is not here, but hereafter. Health of the body is a thing indifferent; it is given both to the righteous and to the impenitent. Do not mistake a good MRI result for the smile of God. Many who are healthy in flesh are already dead in soul, and many who suffer in body are being refined for glory. This present concern may be a mercy, a voice calling you to awake from sleep, to lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees, to turn from that which defiles before the sword of the Spirit cuts more deeply.
I do not speak to cause despair, but healing. There is no disease of the soul so advanced that the Physician cannot restore it. If you have thought yourself insensible after many warnings, do not imagine that conversion is impossible. Sometimes the blow that finally fells the tree comes after many strokes that seemed to produce nothing. But do not delay. Flee fornication. Separate from this man unless and until you can be lawfully joined in marriage, or commit yourselves to continence. For what shall it profit you to gain a healthy boyfriend and lose your own soul? True health is not a clean prostate but a pure heart. Let this trial be for you that "whole man" healing, not partial like a circumcision that only cut away flesh, but a complete change of life. I beg you, seek not things below, but heavenly things, that you may obtain eternal delights, not the short-lived pleasure of a forbidden bond.
I will pray for his body, but far more I plead with heaven for your souls, that you may both be delivered from this infirmity of sin and made whole in the one Church, walking in the light. May the fear of this illness become the medicine you did not seek, and lead you to repentance, that you may stand blameless before the judgment seat of Christ.
