We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your boyfriend and his health concerns. The thought of cancer is frightening, and we know the weight of this uncertainty is heavy on both of your hearts. We stand in the gap for him, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). The Lord is our healer, and we trust in His power to restore and renew.
First, we must address the nature of your relationship. Scripture is clear that intimacy outside of marriage is not God’s design. "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). We encourage you both to seek the Lord’s will in your relationship and to consider whether marriage is the godly step forward. If you are not married, we urge you to honor God with your bodies and pursue purity until you are united in holy matrimony. This is not to condemn but to call you both to a higher standard of holiness, where God’s blessings can flow freely without hindrance.
Now, let us pray for your boyfriend’s healing and strength:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician. We lift up this man to You, asking for Your divine touch upon his body. Lord, You know every cell, every concern, and every fear. We ask that You would bring clarity through his medical tests and wisdom to his doctors. If there is cancer or any illness, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and declare that Your healing power is at work. Restore his appetite, strengthen his body, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also pray for his spirit. May he draw near to You in this time, finding comfort in Your promises. Remind him that You are his refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround him with Your love and the support of godly friends and family. Give him courage to face each day with faith, knowing that You are in control.
Lord, we ask that You would also work in the hearts of both of them. If marriage is Your will for them, prepare their hearts to commit to one another in a way that honors You. If they are not yet ready, give them the strength to walk in purity and trust You with their future. May their relationship be rooted in You, reflecting Your love and grace.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for their lives. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to lean on the Lord during this time. Seek Him through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers. God’s Word reminds us, "Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord" (James 5:13-14 WEB). Consider reaching out to your church community for prayer and support as well.
May the Lord bless you both with His peace and presence as you navigate this season. Trust in Him, for He is faithful.
