You have asked for prayer for your boyfriend, and I am praying for him as he faces this biopsy. It is a mercy that he is sounding encouraged, but let his deeper hope rest in Christ rather than in any one appointment. Health can change suddenly. A man can be active and strong one day and facing serious news the next, and we do not always know why God allows that. His ways are not ours, and a hard diagnosis is not proof of weak faith. Some of the most devoted believers carry the heaviest physical burdens.
At the same time, cancer is not the final word. I have seen the way a disease can drain a body and how frightening that power can be. But when the eyes turn from the power of the illness to the power of Jesus, fear loses its hold. He is the Creator, and the cells they are testing are not outside His reach. That does not mean every result comes back the way we hope or that every sickness is healed in this life. The warm prayer in Scripture that a friend prosper and be in health even as his soul prospers is a prayer, not an unconditional promise. So I will pray that for him: that his body would be strengthened, that the biopsy would bring clear information, and that his soul would continue to walk in truth.
God does care about the body, and He is not indifferent to medical need. I will also pray that both of you would be able to say even in uncertainty, I shall yet praise Him who is the health of my countenance and my God. Keep bringing this to God. He hears.
