We hear your concern for your courtship and the challenges your future spouse is facing with his work and health. First, let us address the foundation of your relationship, it is wonderful that you are in a courtship with the goal of marriage, as the Bible instructs us to pursue godly relationships that honor the Lord. We encourage you both to continue seeking His will in your relationship, ensuring that it remains centered on Christ and aligned with His Word. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). May your courtship be a testimony of faith, patience, and love as you prepare for a marriage that glorifies God.
Now, let us lift up this situation in prayer, trusting that the Lord is in control of all things, even the seemingly small details like an internet connection. Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, knowing that You are the God of all comfort and the One who holds every circumstance in Your hands. We ask that You intervene in this situation and restore the WiFi connection immediately, Lord. You are the God of miracles, and nothing is too difficult for You. We pray that this issue would be resolved swiftly, before the 45-minute mark, so that he may continue his work without disruption or stress.
Father, we also pray for peace to guard his heart and mind. You tell us in Your Word, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). We ask that You fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, so that he does not become overwhelmed or stressed. Protect his health, Lord, and help him to remember that You are his Provider and Sustainer in every situation.
We also pray for favor with his employers, Lord. You say in Proverbs 21:1, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." We ask that You soften the hearts of his supervisors and grant him grace in their eyes. May they recognize his hard work and dedication, and may this situation not bring any undue trouble or consequences. Let this be an opportunity for Your glory to be revealed, Lord, as You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lastly, we pray for your courtship, that it would be strengthened through this trial. May you both grow in trust, patience, and reliance on the Lord as you navigate the challenges of life together. Help you to encourage one another in faith and to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
We declare these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can come before You, and no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through Jesus that we have access to You, Father, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer them according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
