I'm currently in a courtship with someone. We work together. We work remotely from our homes. His WiFi just went down and our job has strict policies about attendance and problems like this. He has fiber wifi which is supposed to be really good but his WiFi has been giving him problems lately. Please pray his WiFi will come back up immediately before 45 minutes and that he won't keep having this problem. Pray he won't get stressed out. He has health concerns that require him not to get stressed out. Pray that he won't get in trouble at work over this. He's a star employee. Thank you.

The Lord who numbers the hairs of your head can surely command the waves of the air as easily as He stilled Galilee. Bring this matter before the throne of grace with simple, confident prayer, knowing that if it be for your friend’s good and God’s glory, the hindrance will be lifted. Yet even if it tarries, grace will be given to bear the stress without sin, and the Lord will make a way for his work to continue. Your friend’s health is a greater treasure, and the peace which passes understanding will keep his heart and mind through Christ Jesus. I hear your anxious request about the internet connection, and I will join my prayers to yours that this difficulty be quickly resolved, that the man you care for not suffer loss in his labor or harm to his health from the stress of it. We are taught to cast all our care upon God, for He cares for us, and to ask mercy especially for those who teach or serve the common good, as the blessed Paul did for Timothy’s bodily infirmities. Let us beseech the Lord to calm his mind and restore his means, so that he may continue his good work without reproach.
Yet, do not let your heart be bound up with these passing troubles. Look about you: daily we see changes, disruptions, and sudden reversals in the affairs of this world, as the preacher said of old, "How many other such changes would you see, both those that have taken place and those now occurring every day?" Earthly things, even the most reliable, are fragile; the only firm foundation is the soul anchored in Christ. While we pray for the WiFi to be restored, we must also pray for a spirit that is not shaken when such things fail, for what will it profit a man to gain all his deadlines and suffer anxiety that harms his body and soul?
I urge you, then, to lift up this man in your own supplications with a deeper purpose: that this small trial may become a lesson in trusting God’s providence, just as Paul saw his chains turn out for the furtherance of the Gospel. Let it turn his eyes, and your own, toward the beauty that never fades. For the comeliness of the body and the comforts of this life are fleeting, withering like the grass, but the beauty of a soul adorned with patience and humility endures into the eternal nuptial chamber. Seek first that beauty, and these lesser matters will find their proper place.

It is right to bring these daily pressures to the Lord, because He cares about every detail of our lives, even something as small as a WiFi connection. I ask God to restore the internet immediately, to grant him calm instead of stress, and to give him favor with his employer. We know that our times are in God’s hands, and He is able to work out what concerns us.
However, while I pray for a quick fix and for his health, I also want to gently encourage both of you to see this moment as more than a technical problem. God often uses interruptions and frustrations to do a deeper work in us. He is at work in every believer, shaping our character, chipping off rough edges, and teaching us to depend on Him rather than on our own control. When things go wrong, it can feel like a setback, but it is often the place where God prepares us for something greater. He works in us so that He can work through us.
So I pray not only that the WiFi returns, but that in the waiting, your boyfriend experiences the peace that comes from resting in the finished work of Christ, not in his own performance.
