Blood pressure

The concern you bring is one God understands deeply. All through Scripture, He teaches us that the life of the flesh is in the blood. He built that very truth into our bodies, and from ancient times, He called His people to a profound reverence for blood because it represents life itself. That physical reality is always pointing us to a greater spiritual truth, a truth that is your solid ground right now.

Every sacrifice, every command about blood in the old covenant, was looking ahead to a perfect sacrifice. The life is in the blood, and it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul. But it was never the blood of animals that could finally put away sin or secure our peace. Those sacrifices had to be repeated, year after year. Your hope rests on something infinitely greater. Jesus entered not a model made with hands, but heaven itself, and not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own precious blood. He entered once, and for all, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

That blood He shed was for your whole person. The prophet declared that He Himself bore our griefs and carried our sorrows; the word there is our infirmities, our bodily weaknesses. When He healed the multitudes, He was taking those infirmities upon Himself. The same power that calmed the raging sea and commanded evil spirits with authority is the power in His blood to bring calm to the storms within your own body. The very blood and water that flowed from His side speak of a complete cleansing and a complete provision for us.

So we can come before Him now with your request. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin, and His sacrifice opened the way for us to approach the throne of grace with confidence.

Let us pray.

Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus, whose blood speaks a better word than any other. You are the one who formed this body and You know every vessel, every heartbeat. We ask You, by that same authority that stilled the wind and waves, to bring a supernatural peace to this physical body. Command this blood pressure to come down and to remain stable. Let there be a deep, steady calm that is a testimony to Your healing power. We rest not in our own efforts but in the finished work of the cross, where the price for our wholeness was fully paid. Guard this life, for it belongs to You. In the mighty name of Jesus, who ever lives to make intercession for us, amen.

Trust in that protection. Just as the blood was a token of safety for the households in Egypt, the blood of Christ is the unshakeable sign of God’s covenant care over you. He sees, He knows, and He is faithful to sustain you.
