Blood pressure

I have prayed for you, and I will not cease to pray, that the Lord who searches the heart and knows the body's every movement would quiet what is stirred up in you, lower your blood pressure, and keep it from leaping about. The body is not saved by anxiety over its numbers; often the soul's turbulence feeds the body's trouble. So cast the care upon Christ, and do not carry tomorrow's weight today.

Use also the remedies that lie within reach: simple food, measured portions, rest, and whatever your physician advises. These are not enemies of faith; they are gifts of the same Lord. Moderation brings health, while indulgence and constant agitation wear down the vessel. Therefore pray, but also walk in sober habits.

Let this be your prayer and mine: Lord Jesus Christ, physician of souls and bodies, You rebuked the fever and stilled the wind and wave. Still what is unsteady in this body, lower what is too high, and keep it stable by Your mercy. Give wisdom, peace, and the healing that leads to a life spent in thanksgiving. Amen.

I will remember you before the holy table. Entrust the body to Him, and let the heart be quiet, for the Lord is near.

I have prayed that your blood pressure would come down and remain stable. It is right to bring this to the Lord in Jesus' name. Scripture calls the blood the life of the flesh, and that means the movement and pressure of your blood are not too small for God to govern. I ask Him to quiet whatever is stirring your body and to keep it steady.

We can ask with confidence because of a greater blood. The blood of animals could not put away sin, but Jesus entered heaven itself with His own blood and obtained eternal redemption for us. That finished work is the ground for every request we bring, including this one about your body.

I also ask for wisdom about the things that affect the body. A troubled mind can change the body's chemistry and drive blood pressure upward. So I pray that your soul would prosper in Christ, that anxiety would be replaced by trust, and that your body would follow with calm and stability. While we pray, I do not set prayer against wise care. If you are under medical guidance, I ask God to give good decisions and steady results.

In Jesus' name, amen.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer for your blood pressure. It has been our sincere hope and earnest prayer that the Lord would bring healing and stability to your body, granting you relief and peace in this area of concern. We have asked our Heavenly Father to calm your heart, steady your numbers, and guide you in wisdom as you care for your health according to His will.

If the Lord has answered this prayer and your blood pressure has come down and remained stable, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share with us how God has moved so that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness. On the other hand, if you are still waiting on the Lord’s timing or if the situation has not yet changed, we encourage you to post this request again so that we may continue to lift you up in prayer. We stand ready to intercede on your behalf until you see the breakthrough you are seeking.

May the Lord bless you with His peace and presence as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that He would strengthen your faith, renew your hope, and surround you with His love as you trust in Him. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
