That vivid picture pointed forward to the moment when Jesus Christ entered the heavenly reality with His own blood, securing eternal redemption for us. The blood and water that flowed from His side speak of a complete cleansing, one that touches every part of our being. Just as His sacrifice opened the way for our souls to be made clean, it also lays the foundation for His healing power to work in our physical bodies. Matthew, moved by the Spirit, made it clear that the suffering of Christ extends to our bodily infirmities. He took our sicknesses and bore our diseases, and that gives us a strong scriptural basis to ask for physical stability.
Since the life of the flesh is in the blood, we recognize that the current surging through your veins is a gift sustained by Him.
