Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we stand with you before the Father in the name of Jesus, thanking Him that you have come in that precious name seeking forgiveness and mercy, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. We rejoice that you have acknowledged your need for forgiveness, and we cling to the promise that if we confess our sins He is faithful and righteous to forgive us. John 14:6 and Acts 4:12 remind us that Jesus is the way and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

We understand the heavy burden you carry, the shame you feel before your family, the fear from constant calls and visits, the threats of legal action and of contacting your friends and family, and the anxiety that this could cost you your new job. We bring all of this before the Lord together and we ask Him to grant you His peace that surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us to not be anxious in anything but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving to let our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also want to lovingly speak truth to you about the desire that the collection agencies would simply close your accounts and that you would no longer need to make payments because you feel you have already paid more than you borrowed. We understand how overwhelming interest can feel, but Scripture calls us to honor our agreements and to repay what we owe. Psalm 37:21 says the wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous give generously. Romans 13:8 says owe no one anything, except to love one another. Proverbs 22:7 warns us that the borrower is servant to the lender. When we agreed to borrow with interest, we became responsible for those terms, even when they are hard. God is a God of integrity and He calls us to be people of our word. We affirm the good desire you expressed to repay everyone, and we encourage you to hold fast to that godly commitment rather than asking God to cancel a legitimate debt. The miracle we seek is not an escape from responsibility, but grace and provision to fulfill it faithfully.

We also gently caution you about asking for a new personal loan as the solution to pay off all debts. While God can provide through many means, taking on more debt without changed stewardship can lead to deeper bondage. Proverbs 21:5 says the plans of the diligent surely lead to profit, and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty. We pray instead for wisdom, discipline, and godly counsel in managing what you have, for open doors for honest work and diligence, and for favor as you communicate humbly with those you owe. Philippians 4:19 assures us that our God will supply every need of ours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and Matthew 6:33 calls us to seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to us as well.

And we lift up your practical needs together in prayer.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we thank You for Your mercy and forgiveness. We lift up our brother to You who is weighed down by debt and by fear. Lord, forgive his sins and cleanse his heart, and let him walk in the freedom of Your grace. Grant him wisdom to steward finances faithfully, to make a clear plan, to live within his means, and to work diligently as You have called us to do. Provide for his daily needs and for the obligations he has incurred, and help him to repay what he owes with honesty and integrity. Lord, we ask for Your protection over his family and friends, over his home and his new job. Quiet the harassment and bring peace to his household. Soften the hearts of those to whom he owes money, that they would act justly and not with intimidation, and give him courage and grace to communicate truthfully and to seek workable arrangements. Guard his employment, Lord, that he may labor faithfully and provide. Remove shame and replace it with hope, and let Your peace guard his heart. If it is Your will to provide through increased income, through counsel, or through other legitimate means, we ask You to open that door, and give him discernment to not fall again into the snare of hasty borrowing. We trust You as our Provider and our Refuge. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to remain diligent in your new job, to labor honestly and quietly as 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 teaches, to create a simple budget, to list all debts honestly, to seek wise and godly financial counsel from your local church or a trusted believer, and to speak proactively and humbly with your creditors to arrange what you can faithfully pay. Keep seeking the Lord daily, stay in His Word, and trust that He sees your struggle and will lead you step by step out of this burden as you walk in integrity and dependence on Him.

We hear how heavy this has become for you and your family, the constant calls and visits, the shame you feel, and the fear that it could put your new job at risk. It is understandable to feel worn down and to long for peace at home again. Thank you for being honest about the burden and for naming your desire to repay what you owe. That desire to do what is right matters to the Lord and says a lot about your heart.

We are praying for you for steadiness at work, for wisdom as you sort through each debt, and for quiet and dignity in your home while you walk through this.

One step that often helps when the pressure feels so scattered is to get everything on paper with another trusted person. If you can, sit down soon with a reputable nonprofit credit counselor or a financially wise pastor or mentor at your church. Bring your statements and a simple log of who has contacted you, when, and what was said. They can help you make a clear, realistic plan to address each debt in order, look at legitimate options for consolidation or repayment, and help you understand how to respond calmly in writing so you are not living in dread of the next call or visit at home.

Father in Jesus name we lift our brother to You. You know his needs and his family by name. Forgive his sins as he has asked, cover his home with Your peace, guard the work You have provided, and give him wisdom, favor and provision to meet his obligations in a way that honors You. Lead him to trustworthy help and keep his household safe and at rest. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The burden you carry has been laid before the Lord, and He hears the cry of those who come in the name of Jesus seeking forgiveness and mercy. You have well begun in asking forgiveness of all your sins, for there is no peace until the great debt of sin is discharged. When I learned that my enormous debt of sin had been fully discharged by the Lord Jesus Christ, who did this for all believers, then was my heart at peace. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and this is the perfect peace spoken of by the prophet, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Acquaint yourself with God and be at peace. Meditate on His law both day and night, and you shall find that peace which is not the mere silencing of creditors or the absence of calls at the door, but the peace of God which passes all understanding, a peace that may be enjoyed even with sorrows surging round and with duties pressing hard upon you.

I must speak to you plainly and in love concerning your desire. You ask that debt collection agencies would close your accounts completely so that you will no longer need to make payments, and yet you also say your desire is to repay everyone. The Scripture teaches that the wicked borrow and pay not again, but the righteous deals graciously and gives. The child of God must not seek a deliverance which would leave an honest debt unpaid. To pray that God would bless an escape from what is justly owed is not according to His will. Rather we pray that He would grant you integrity, diligence and the means to repay what you owe in a just and honest way, even that which includes interest you have agreed to. If you have indeed paid more than you borrowed through unjust exactions, seek lawful and honest counsel and speak the truth in all your dealings, but do not ask the Lord to set aside honesty.

Therefore let us pray together not for a way to avoid payment, but for a way to make payment through His provision and for peace in the trial.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone there is salvation and forgiveness of sins. We thank You that by His blood the debt of sin is fully discharged for all who trust in Him, and we ask that this dear soul may know that perfect peace within. Grant deliverance according to Your wisdom, not by concealment but by Your gracious provision. Provide honest work and sustain the new employment You have given, protect it from jeopardy, and give favour in the sight of employers. Grant wisdom to steward what is little, to labour faithfully, and to deal truthfully with every creditor. If it be Your will, open a lawful and honest provision to consolidate what is owed, but above all teach contentment and trust, that the mind stayed on You may be kept in perfect peace. Restrain all harassment and threats that would disturb the peace of this family and of loved ones far away, and keep this home in quietness. Let no fear of man drive this heart from honesty, but let faithfulness be seen. Bring this soul forth not only with deliverance but with a testimony to declare the works of the Lord, that having been chastened and tried, he may live to praise Your free grace which found a ransom for sinners. We ask for daily bread, for patience under pressure, for protection for family and friends from distress, and for that peace within our borders which Christ alone can give. In Jesus name we ask, Amen.
