Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We have heard your cry and we join with you before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, and we thank you for coming in His name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and forgiven. We praise God that you have asked for forgiveness of sins, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness in 1 John 1:9, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12.

We understand the heavy burden you carry, the shame you feel before your family, the fear of losing your new job, and the distress of constant calls, visits and threats, and we bring all of this before the Lord with compassion. God sees your anxiety and He cares deeply for your peace, for God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46:1, and we pray He will be your peace in this storm.

We also want to lovingly speak truth to you about the matter of debt, because God calls us to walk in integrity and faithfulness in our financial commitments. While we fully understand your feeling that you have already paid more than you borrowed and your desire for the accounts to simply be closed, Scripture teaches us that when we make an agreement to borrow, including interest, we are bound to honor it. The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously in Psalm 37:21, and we are told owe no one anything, except to love one another in Romans 13:8 and give therefore to everyone what you owe in Romans 13:7. This does not mean God wants you to be crushed or harassed, but He does desire that we have a heart that wants to repay what we owe as we are able, rather than asking Him to make a debt disappear that is still legally owed. Your desire to repay everyone is right and pleasing to God, and we encourage you to hold to that honest intention.

We also gently caution you about asking for a miracle personal loan without hassle to pay off all debts. The borrower is servant to the lender in Proverbs 22:7, and taking on new debt to cover old debt can often lead to a deeper cycle of bondage if not done with great wisdom and discipline. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit in Proverbs 21:5. God more often provides through diligent work, wise stewardship, budgeting, and contentment than through an easy financial escape. We pray not simply for an easy loan, but for wisdom, provision, and a clear path out of debt that honors Him.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel for practical steps, to make a clear budget, to live within your means, to communicate honestly and in writing with those you owe, to keep records of what you have paid, and to seek lawful protection if harassment or threats become abusive or illegal, while still showing a willing heart to make restitution. Seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you in Matthew 6:33, and we trust that as you honor Him, He will guide you.

We now pray together for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, forgive sins and cleanse this heart, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Father, You know the weight of this debt, the shame, the fear for family and for employment, and the disruption caused by constant calls and visits. We ask for Your mercy and protection over this family and over this new job, that no harassment would jeopardize honest work. Lord, provide for every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:19, give wisdom to steward finances faithfully, open doors for honest provision, and grant favor and calm communication with creditors. Help this dear one to walk in integrity to repay what is owed with diligence and truth, and to be freed from the bondage of debt in Your timing. Give strength to endure, courage to make wise choices, and peace in the home that no visitor can take away. We ask for a miracle of Your provision and direction, not for avoidance, but for a righteous resolution that brings glory to You. Guide every step and let this trial produce perseverance and testimony of Your faithfulness. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about the weight you are carrying. The constant calls and visits, the threats of legal action, and the fear that your family and your new job could be affected would leave anyone feeling exhausted and on edge. We hear both the shame this has brought and your sincere desire to do what is right and repay what you owe.

It is understandable to want both relief from the harassment and a clear way forward. God sees your heart to honor your obligations and to protect peace at home, and He cares about both.

One steady step that can help when pressure is high is to get a clear written picture and outside guidance. If you are able, consider contacting a reputable nonprofit credit counseling service or legal aid office in your area. They can review your loan documents, explain your rights regarding calls, visits and contact with family or friends, and help you negotiate a realistic repayment plan directly with the lenders. Keep a simple log of dates, times and what was said, and try not to make promises while under pressure. Having a trusted advocate can also help protect your workplace and family while you work toward resolution.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus name. You know his debts, his concern for his family, and his need to keep his job. Give him wisdom for each conversation, provision for what he owes, protection from harassment, and peace in his home. Guide his next steps and let him know Your nearness and care. Amen.

We have heard your burdened prayer and we join you before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, through whom alone forgiveness of sins and access to the Father is given.

You have spoken honestly of shame, of pressing calls and visits, of fear for your family and for your new employment, and of a sincere desire to repay what you owe. That desire to repay is right and honorable before God. The Scripture teaches that the wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous deal honestly, and as we have been reminded, if a man is in debt and cannot pay, the fact that he is unable to pay does not exonerate him from the duty of paying. He is still in debt. As debt leads to more debt, so we must watch and pray for wisdom not to add burden to burden without counsel and care.

We cannot ask God to simply close accounts that are lawfully owed or to bless the avoidance of rightful obligation, for that would not be walking in the appointed way. He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself. Safety is guaranteed as we walk in integrity, truth and diligence, keeping the ways God has appointed. Your honesty in wanting to repay everyone is itself a step on that highway, and we thank God for it.

We also hear your distress at harassment, threats, and the fear that visits or calls to friends and family will disturb your peace and jeopardize the honest employment God has provided. Never is work more honorable than when it is commonplace and done faithfully before the Lord, and we pray God will preserve you in it. We remember that because Jesus lives, His people are secure, and the King of Kings will interpose for the protection of those who trust Him and need His keeping in all their ways. This protection is perpetual as well as personal for those who abide in Him.

Therefore we pray for you:

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, forgive the sins of Your servant according to Your mercy through the atoning sacrifice of Christ, and cleanse the conscience that would be uneasy before its great Creditor. Grant a heart that praises You not only with lips but with substance, ordering all things honestly and thankfully before You.

Lord, grant wisdom and provision to meet lawful obligations. Provide through honest labor, wise stewardship, and godly counsel, rather than through haste. If a further loan is considered, grant great discernment, that it would not lead to more debt, but would be weighed with counsel from wise and faithful believers. Open doors for counsel with Your church, for budgeting help, and for humble and clear communication with those to whom money is owed.

Father, restrain all unjust harassment and threatening, and cause all parties to act lawfully and with fairness. Grant peace to this household, to family and friends, and let no visit or call bring shame or disorder beyond what is just. Guard this new employment, that it may be kept with diligence and integrity, and supply daily bread through it.

Grant quietness of heart while the debt remains, not the false peace of one who forgets the Creditor, but the true peace of one who trusts the living Christ, does what is right day by day, and leaves the outcome to You.

We ask not for escape from duty, but for strength to fulfill it, for protection along the right way, and for the miracle of Your sustaining grace, provision and peace until this burden is lawfully lifted. May all be done to Your glory, and may Your name be praised in both trial and deliverance. In Jesus name, Amen.
