Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We have heard your burden and we join with you in prayer before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus, giving thanks that you have come in that precious name by which we have access to God and forgiveness of sins. As it is written, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have sought forgiveness and we stand with you for mercy and grace.

We understand the heaviness of debt, the shame you feel before your family, the constant calls and visits, the threats of legal action and of contacting friends and family, and the fear that this harassment could cost you your new job. We know this has disrupted your peace at home and we bring all of this to the Lord who sees your situation and cares for you.

We want to speak truth in love about the heart of your request. You have expressed a godly desire to repay everyone, and that desire honors God. Yet you have also asked that collection agencies would simply close your accounts completely so you would no longer need to make payments because you feel you have already paid more than you borrowed. We must gently correct this, because Scripture calls us to integrity in our financial obligations. The wicked borrow, and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously. Psalm 37:21 and Owe no one anything, except to love one another. Romans 13:8 and Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor. Romans 13:7. Even when interest feels heavy and the burden is great, if we have agreed to borrow, we are called to repay what is truly owed with honesty and faithfulness. The borrower is servant to the lender. Proverbs 22:7. To ask God to make a lawful debt disappear without repayment would not align with His righteousness, even as we do pray for relief from unjust or harassing practices and for wisdom to resolve what is owed in a fair and lawful way. We also urge caution about asking for another personal loan to pay existing debts, for that can lead to a deeper cycle of borrowing. The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty. Proverbs 21:5. We pray instead for God’s provision and for wisdom to steward what He provides.

We also pray for your peace and for protection over your home, your family, your friends and your employment. We ask the Lord to restrain harassment and threats and to make a way for honest communication with those you owe, and for those agencies and individuals to act lawfully and justly.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up our brother before Your throne of grace. Lord, You know the weight of this debt, the shame and anxiety, the calls and visits, the fear of losing this new job. We ask for Your forgiveness and Your mercy to cover him, and for Your peace to guard his heart. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Father, grant that peace to him and to his family and friends now.

Lord, we ask for Your divine help to provide for his needs according to Your riches. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Give him wisdom to steward his income, to make a faithful plan to repay what is truly owed, to live within his means, and to seek wise and godly counsel for budgeting and for dealing with creditors. Lead him to honest and clear communication, to seek lawful help if harassment continues, and to be diligent in his work as unto You. Help him to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be given to him as well. Matthew 6:33.

Father, we ask You to intervene to stop unlawful harassment and repeated calls and unwanted visits that disrupt the peace of his home, and to protect his job and his reputation. Soften the hearts of those to whom he owes, that they would be willing to work toward a fair and manageable resolution, and convict all parties to act with fairness and truth. Provide for him daily bread, open doors for honest work and provision, and keep him from taking on further debt that would entangle him again. Teach him to owe no one anything except love, and to walk in integrity so that his life may bring glory to You and be a testimony to his family.

We thank You that You are our refuge and strength, that You hear our prayers in Jesus’ name, and that You are able to make a way where there seems to be no way. Strengthen his faith, lift his shame, and let him know he is valued and not forsaken. Guide his steps day by day, and grant him resolution, peace and a clear conscience before You and before men. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We have been praying as we read your request. Carrying debt while facing constant calls and visits, and feeling the shame it brings on your family, is exhausting. It makes sense you are worried about your peace at home and the security of your new job.

We are encouraged that you want to repay what you owe and handle this with integrity, even while you feel overwhelmed. Wanting a quick miracle is understandable when the pressure is so daily, and we join you in asking God for provision and for relief from harassment that threatens your family and work.

A step that often brings some steadiness in this kind of season is to get a trusted, objective look at the finances alongside prayer. In many communities there are nonprofit consumer credit counseling agencies and also churches or community agencies that offer financial counseling at low or no cost. They can help you lay out what is owed, what has been paid, explore a realistic repayment plan with creditors, and think carefully about whether a personal loan would truly help or add more burden. Having a clear plan and someone to walk with you can also make it easier to respond calmly to collectors and keep good records of contacts.

Father, in Jesus name we bring our brother before You. You see the weight of debt, the fear of shame, and the desire to do what is right. Grant wisdom for each decision, provision according to Your will, protection over his family and workplace, and peace that guards his heart as he takes the next faithful steps. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and your burden is understood, the weight of debt, the shame felt before your family, the distress of constant calls and visits, and the fear that this trial may threaten your employment and peace at home. These are heavy afflictions, and it is right to bring them before the Lord who invites those who are burdened to cast their care upon Him.

There is a greater debt than any owed to banks or to men, and it is the debt of sin before a holy God. When the heart learns that this enormous debt has been fully discharged by the Lord Jesus Christ through His blood, then there is peace within. The Scriptures speak of a peace that is not a mere lull of conscience, but a peace with God through Jesus Christ, a peace which passes all understanding, purchased by His atoning blood and wrought by the Holy Spirit. If you have not already done so, seek first reconciliation with God through faith in Christ alone, for He is our peace, and apart from Him there is no solid peace. Do not seek after peace first, seek after Christ first, and peace will come next. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that peace can remain even when sorrows surge around.

You have expressed a right and honorable desire to repay what you owe, and this the Lord honors. His Word teaches that the righteous are to be faithful in their obligations and to owe no man anything but love, and that integrity in financial dealings is part of doing the will of Jesus. For this reason we cannot ask God to bless the cancelling of lawful debts apart from repayment, or to cause accounts to be closed by a miracle so that what is justly owed need not be paid. To pray for such would be to ask God to set aside truth and righteousness, and we must dread to give peace at the expense of truth. If interest and terms were agreed to, they are to be honored before God and men, even while we may lawfully seek fair and merciful arrangements.

What we do bring before the throne of grace for you is this, that the God of peace would bless you with that perfect peace which comes from a mind stayed upon Him and trusting in Him, that He would grant you forgiveness of sins through Christ, wisdom and diligence in stewardship, strength to labor faithfully in your new employment, and provision by honest means to meet your obligations. We ask that He would give you favor and wisdom in dealing with those to whom you owe, that you may seek godly counsel, communicate plainly, and pursue lawful and orderly payment plans rather than evasion, and that any unlawful harassment or threatening conduct would be restrained and that your home and family would be kept in quietness. We pray not for a hasty loan that might deepen the snare, but for the Lord's provision according to His wisdom, whether through work, counsel, or other honest means, and for contentment and restraint to live within what He provides.

May the Lord keep you in perfect peace as you trust in Him, and may that peace guard your heart even in this dark world of care.

We pray together: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for forgiveness of sins through His blood alone, and for peace with You and peace of conscience. Grant to this one a renewed heart, a steadfast mind, and the peace of God which passes all understanding. Provide daily bread, establish the work of his hands, protect his employment, guard his household from fear, and grant wisdom to act with honesty and faithfulness in every financial duty. Give guidance to seek wise counsel, to deal justly with creditors, and to walk in integrity that adorns the gospel. Let Your will be done, and let Your peace rule within, for Christ's sake. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard, and the heaviness you describe is understood, the burden of debt, the shame felt before your family, the fear of calls and visits, and the anxiety that this trouble might cost you your work and your peace at home.

First, you began rightly by coming in the name of Jesus and asking for forgiveness of sins. That is the greatest debt we all owe. As Scripture teaches, we owed God ten thousand talents, a debt we could never repay, yet He forgives freely through Christ who gave Himself for us. Salvation is through Him alone. If you have turned to Him in faith, that great debt is forgiven, not because we earned it but because He bore it. Hold fast to that mercy, and let it shape how you walk through this earthly trial.

Concerning your earthly debts, God calls His people to honesty and faithfulness. The desire you expressed to repay everyone is good and right, and you should cling to it. It would not be right to ask God to make what you truly owe simply disappear, or to close accounts so that no just payment is required. The Lord who forgave us so much calls us not to take our fellow servants by the throat, and also not to withhold what is justly due. If you have borrowed, and interest and terms were agreed to, the faithful path is to repay what you owe as you are able, with truthfulness and diligence, even when it is hard. If you believe you have been charged unjustly or have already repaid more than was fair, seek wise and lawful help to review the accounts, and speak honestly with those you owe, rather than hoping for a miracle that would set aside justice.

The Scriptures also teach us how to suffer. Job lost much, yet he was blessed not when his goods were many, but when he said, The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. The enemy wants loss to drive us to speak against God, but God can use even affliction to enlarge our trust and to bring greater good in the end. Bear this stroke thankfully, not with blasphemy or despair, but with prayer, patience, and steady work. A household established by mercy, honesty, and diligence is kept more securely than by any other defense. Use what you have, your strength, your work, your care for your neighbor and family, as talents given by God for the common good.

For the harassment and fear you face, it is right to pray for peace and for protection for your family and friends, and for wisdom to act lawfully. You may and should take proper steps, keep records of calls and threats, seek counsel from a trusted pastor and from a reputable financial counselor or legal aid, inform your employer only as needed and with discretion, and ask creditors in writing to communicate in lawful and respectful ways. Pray that God would restrain what is threatening and unlawful, and that He would give your creditors fairness and your own heart calmness.

I will pray with you now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, forgive our sins and have mercy on us. You know this brother, his debt, his shame, his fear for his family and his work. Grant him peace that guards his heart, wisdom to act honestly and wisely, and strength to work diligently. Provide for his needs according to Your goodness, open a just and honest way to repay what is truly owed, and bring a fair resolution with those to whom he is indebted. Restrain harassment and threats, protect his home and his job, and let his family dwell in quietness. Keep him from hasty decisions that would add burden, and lead him to godly counsel and lawful help. Above all, keep him trusting in Christ, who alone saves, and make him faithful in little as You have been faithful in much. Amen.

Continue in prayer, in honest labor, and in seeking counsel. Do not hide, but walk in the light, repay as God enables you, and trust Him for daily provision and for the peace that comes from a clear conscience before Him.
