Blessings to overcome Financial debt

Roshan Dsouza

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the name of Jesus, asking for your forgiveness of all my sins and blessings. I am burdened with a debt and I am being harassed by calls and visits from the banks, which has brought shame to my family. Lord, I ask for your divine intervention and a miracle, so that debt collections agencies close my accounts completely and I will no longer need to make payments, as I have already paid them more than I borrowed. I am also receiving threats from the banks, warning of legal actions and that they will contact my friends and family to harass them. Additionally, I owe money with interest. My desire is to repay everyone. If these people continue to harass me or my contacts, it could jeopardize my new job and leave me unemployed again. Lord I ask for your intervention to stop harassment and repeated calls from every debt collection agency and individual to whom I have to repay to me, my family and friends, as their presence disrupts our peace. Jesus, please help that no one visit my home to whom I have to pay else that will create a huge problem. Please hear my prayer and grant me peace and resolution. Lord, I ask for your miracle and intervention by granting me a personal loan and I get the same without any hassle as it will help me to pay off all my debts. I ask this in Jesus name. Praise the Lord. Amen.

We come before the throne of grace with you, lifting your heavy burden of debt and the relentless harassment you are enduring. The weight of financial struggle is not just a physical or emotional trial, it is a spiritual battle as well, and we stand with you in faith, believing that our Lord is a God of justice, provision, and peace. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and that is the most powerful name in heaven and on earth. There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true deliverance (Acts 4:12). We rejoice that you have come to Him, for He alone can break every chain and bring restoration.

First, we must address the reality of debt with honesty and wisdom. Scripture tells us, "The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously" (Psalm 37:21). While we understand the frustration of feeling that you have already repaid more than you borrowed, the Bible is clear that we are to honor our commitments. The Lord does not delight in those who exploit or oppress through debt, but neither does He excuse us from fulfilling our obligations. We must approach this situation with integrity, even as we seek His intervention. The harassment you are facing from collection agencies is unjust and unbiblical, "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). We rebuke the spirit of intimidation and fear that has been unleashed against you and your family. No weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we declare that the threats, the calls, and the visits shall cease in Jesus' name.

We also recognize the fear of losing your new job due to this harassment. The enemy would love to steal your peace, your provision, and your testimony, but we serve a God who is greater. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). We pray that the Lord will shield your employment and grant you favor with your employers. Let no man, or debt collector, be able to disrupt the work God has given you to do.

Your desire to repay what you owe is honorable and aligns with Scripture: "Owe no one anything, except to love one another" (Romans 13:8). We believe the Lord will provide a way for you to settle these debts in a manner that brings glory to Him. However, we must caution against seeking a "miracle" that would allow you to avoid repayment altogether. The Lord does not work in ways that contradict His Word. Instead, we pray for divine wisdom to manage your finances, for unexpected provision to meet your needs, and for the Lord to soften the hearts of your creditors so that they may offer mercy or reasonable terms. "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19).

We also lift up the shame you have mentioned. Shame is a tool of the enemy, but in Christ, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1). You are not defined by your debt or your past mistakes. The Lord sees you as His beloved child, and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We rebuke the spirit of shame and declare that you are clothed in the righteousness of Christ. Your family’s peace and dignity will be restored.

Let us now pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by debt and harassment. Lord, You see the weight upon their heart, and You know the fear that has gripped them. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and bring justice where there has been oppression. Father, we rebuke the spirit of intimidation and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Let the harassment cease, and let their home and family be a place of peace once again.

Lord, we ask for Your provision. Open doors of opportunity for them to increase their income, and grant them wisdom to manage their finances according to Your principles. Soften the hearts of their creditors, that they may extend grace and work out a solution that is fair and just. Father, we pray for their employment, let no man or circumstance steal the job You have provided. Grant them favor with their employers and protect their livelihood.

We also pray for healing from the shame and fear that has taken root. Remind them, Lord, that in You, they are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Let them walk in the freedom and dignity that is theirs as Your child. Provide them with godly counsel and accountability as they navigate this season.

Father, we ask that You would grant them a miracle, not one that allows them to avoid their responsibilities, but one that empowers them to fulfill them with honor. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way, for nothing is impossible with You (Luke 1:37).

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that the Lord is fighting for you. Seek out biblical financial counsel if possible, and commit your ways to Him. He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone in this battle, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord stands with you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will lead you to victory.

We can feel how heavy this is, the constant calls and threats, the shame you mentioned for your family, and the fear that it could all spill over into your new job. That kind of pressure drains you in every way, and we’re genuinely sorry you’re carrying it.

What stood out to us is your desire to repay everyone, and the fact that you’re already in a new job. That’s a real foothold, even when it feels shaky. With that stability, one concrete step that often helps in exactly this kind of predicament is reaching out to a reputable, nonprofit consumer credit counseling service. These groups don’t offer a quick loan, but they can contact creditors on your behalf, potentially stop the harassment calls, and create a single, manageable repayment plan based on what you actually can afford, not what the collectors demand. It doesn’t make the debt vanish overnight, but it can bring structure, advocates who know how to deal with banks, and a clear path forward that protects your employment and your peace.

We know that isn’t the dramatic miracle you’re aching for, yet many believers have found that God works through wise, humble steps like this, even when it feels like just making it through another day. It’s not the devil’s work to seek practical help; it’s good stewardship of the job and sanity God has preserved for you right now. You don’t have to figure out every angle alone.

Please pray with us:

Lord Jesus, you see the weight of this debt and the fear it brings to this household. We ask you to silence every harassing call, every predatory threat, and to shield this family and their friends from shame. Provide a way through the hands of wise counselors and fair negotiations, and protect their job so they can stand again. Bring calm to their hearts and a resolution that honors repayment without breaking their spirit. In your holy name, amen.

Your cry for deliverance rises out of deep waters, but it is written, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You." Peace, peace, that is what your soul craves beneath the clamor of debt and the shame of threatened disgrace. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, a peace no bill collector can shatter, no legal summons can drown. Have you heard that whisper? The enormous debt of sin, that mountain of transgression, has been fully discharged by the Lord Jesus Christ for all who believe. When I first saw that my own sins were cast behind God's back, my heart knew a peace that passes understanding, and that same peace is yours by simple trust in Him.

You ask for a miracle to close the accounts and stop the payments, yet you also desire to repay what you owe. This desire is upright, and God honors the honest debtor. But consider first the greater miracle, that Christ has paid your eternal debt, and now He calls you to walk in integrity, doing the will of Jesus, which alone is rest. Do not look for a miracle that would let you evade just claims, for the Lord does not bless the path of deceit. Rather, look to Him who is grand in emergencies. Did He not multiply the loaves? Does He not still open His hand and supply every need? He can make your new employment prosper, stretch your wages, or open unexpected doors. The power to rescue lies wholly in Jesus Himself, not in your planning or panic.

The threats and harassment are bitter indeed, but Hezekiah found that for peace he had great bitterness, and in that bitterness divine love delivered him. These trials may be the schoolmaster to drive you deeper into the arms of Christ. Pray for a quiet mind, forgive those who trouble you, for if you harbor malice, how can you wield the power of faith that removes mountains? The mountain you must first see cast into the sea is the mountain of unbelief and self-reliance. Trust God with your reputation, your family’s peace, and your job. No man can pluck you from His hand without His leave.

Come now to the Lord and Giver of peace. If He should grant you a loan, give thanks; if not, still give thanks, for His grace is sufficient. The miracle you most need is not found in a banker’s ledger but in a heart stayed on Him. The power of Christ to save and to sustain is displayed in making great sinners into sincere penitents, and in carrying them through every storm. Look not to the waves, but to Him who walked upon them. He can hush the tempest to a calm, and while the winds still howl, He can keep you in perfect peace. Lay hold upon this promise: "The Lord will bless His people with peace." Amen.
