🍼 Bless Parents Spiritual Hunger, and Fellowship, 1 Peter 2:2...

Father, help Parents Read and Understand The Bible Together -- I got them matching GIANT font 📖 Bibles for her birthday 📖. Please undo decades of wrong thinking, worries and cares. Renew his and her mind. Help them enjoy reading and desire to watch edifying movies with me, help my parens to understand, retain and be doers. Let me be filled with wisdom, love, kindness and ability to impart the Holy Spirit. Would be a shame if either missed eternity, remove any blindness, release light love and may the evil one be bound, gaged and choked with a great chain, Rev 20:1-2. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join you in praying for your parents and we rejoice with you in your love for them and your desire to see them hunger for the Word and walk in fellowship together. What a thoughtful and loving gift to give them matching large print Bibles for her birthday, that they might read and understand together. We pray that this seed bears much fruit.

We agree with you from 1 Peter 2:2, as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that with it you may grow. We pray that God will birth in both of them a fresh and abiding hunger for Scripture, not out of duty but out of delight, that they may taste and see that the Lord is good and grow up into salvation.

We also pray for the renewing of their minds as you have asked. For decades of wrong thinking, worries and cares can weigh down the heart, but we claim Romans 12:2, Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. We cast all their anxieties on Him because He cares for them, as 1 Peter 5:7 teaches, and we pray Philippians 4:6-7 over them, that in nothing they would be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, their requests would be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding would guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray that they will not only hear and retain the Word but be doers of the Word as James 1:22 says, But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. May God give them understanding, memory, and joyful obedience, and may He knit them together in sweet fellowship as they read together and as you share edifying time together. We pray that watching wholesome, faith building movies with you would be a joy to them and a further encouragement to their faith.

We lift you up as well, that you would be filled with wisdom, love, kindness and grace as you minister to them. We ask God to give you wisdom liberally as promised in James 1:5, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We gently remind you that it is God alone who gives the Holy Spirit to those who believe and repent through Jesus Christ, as Acts 2:38 says, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We cannot impart the Spirit by our own power, but we can faithfully share the gospel, love well, and pray that God will open their eyes and fill them.

We share your burden that neither would miss eternity, and we pray against any spiritual blindness. As 2 Corinthians 4:4 says, the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them. We ask the Lord to remove any veil and let the light of Christ shine in their hearts. We pray that the evil one would be restrained by the power of God, and we rest in the truth of Revelation 20:1-2, that God has the authority to seize the dragon and bind him, and that ultimately Christ has already triumphed over darkness through the cross. We ask for God's protection and light and love to be released in their home.

We thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for we know John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to God and the assurance of eternal life.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we thank You for these parents and for the child who loves them so deeply. We ask You to create in them a hunger for Your Word, to make their new Bibles precious to them, to draw them to read together daily with understanding and joy. Renew their minds, heal decades of wrong thinking, lift every worry and care, and fill them with Your peace. Help them to understand, to remember, and to obey Your Word. Bless their fellowship with each other and with their child, and let their home be filled with light, love, and truth. Give their child wisdom, patience, kindness and words seasoned with grace to speak Your truth in love. Remove all blindness, let the light of the gospel of Christ shine upon them, and keep the evil one bound and far from them by Your mighty hand. Draw them both into saving faith in Jesus Christ if they have not yet fully trusted Him, and establish them in the assurance of eternal life. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord, amen.

We were so touched to read your heart for your parents and that thoughtful gift of matching giant print Bibles for her birthday. What a beautiful, tangible way to show love and invite them into God's Word together.

We hear how much you long for them to hunger for Scripture, to enjoy it together and to be renewed after so many years of worries and old patterns of thinking. That kind of change so often happens slowly, more like training for a long race than a single moment of trying. Small, regular time in the Word together can shape them over time, and your steady, gentle presence matters more than you may realize.

One simple way to nurture that fellowship is to keep the invitation light and consistent. Perhaps ask if you could read a short passage together a couple times a week at a set time, maybe a Psalm or a few verses from one of the Gospels, and share briefly what each of you noticed. Pairing it with a shared meal or offering to watch one edifying movie together when they are open can make it feel like family time, not pressure.

We are praying with you for wisdom and kindness as you walk alongside them, and for the Lord to draw them closer to Himself.

Father, we lift these parents to You and ask for renewed hunger for Your Word and joy in reading it together. Give them understanding and a desire to live what they learn, and give their child wisdom, patience and love as they encourage them. Fill their home with Your light and peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer for your parents is a sweet evidence of grace at work in your own heart, and we join you in it with thankfulness. To desire for them a true spiritual hunger, as newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word that they may grow thereby, as in 1 Peter 2:2, is to desire the very thing God delights to give. The gift of those large print Bibles, chosen with such loving care for a birthday, is a thoughtful provision, and we pray the Lord will make His word not only plain to their eyes but precious to their souls.

There is a hunger which bites at the strength of a man and will not be satisfied with plenty around him, a restlessness which gold and care and the worries of this life cannot quiet. Many read the Word and attend upon its hearing, and yet as one once confessed, they were only reading the Word, not believing it, only hearing it, not accepting it. So we pray that your father and mother may not merely read, but believe, not merely hear, but receive with meekness the engrafted word. Pray that decades of wrong thinking and anxious cares may be undone by the renewing of their minds, that they may understand and retain what they read and be doers of the word and not hearers only, finding joy in it and in that which edifies.

For salvation lies not in Bible reading alone, nor in regular attendance, but in looking to Christ alone. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. What is believing on Him but trusting in Him, leaving the whole matter of present and eternal salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence, depending upon Him without fear. How gloriously simple the Bible is in this. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. It is without money and without price, free grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and whosoever looks to Him, be it father or mother, son or daughter, shall live. We pray that each of them may so look and live, for there is no other name by which we must be saved, and Christ Himself is our salvation. He must be personally trusted by each soul, for we all fell in our first parent and have all sinned personally, and we shall all perish unless we find salvation in Him.

And when that salvation is received, there is fellowship, for our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. This is more than conversation, though it begins there in reading and prayer and converse with the Lord. It rises to sympathy with Christ and to unity with Him, and at last to the fellowship of heaven itself. We pray that your parents may know this fellowship together, that their home may be marked by communion with God, that they may delight to read together and to walk together in the light, and that you may enjoy with them those edifying times you long for, with hearts knit to Christ and to one another.

You ask to be filled with wisdom, love and kindness, and with ability to impart the Holy Spirit. The Lord indeed calls you to be filled with wisdom and love and to speak the truth in kindness, and to be a faithful witness, but remember that it is God alone who gives the Holy Spirit. We cannot impart Him by our own power, yet we can pray, we can testify of Christ, we can live before them the grace we preach, and God in mercy will work by His Spirit as you bring the horse to the water, trusting Him to give the drink. So we pray you may be kept humble, gentle and prayerful, adorned with patience, that your life and words may commend the Gospel.

We join you also in praying against the blindness of the evil one. Our Lord has triumphed and by His cross has bound the strong man, and we ask that every veil may be taken away, that light and love may shine into their hearts, that worries may be cast upon Him who cares for them, and that neither of your dear parents may miss eternity. May many in that household have such spiritual hunger and thirst that the blessing which rested upon the Philippian jailer may rest there, when it was said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Let us pray together. Father, we thank Thee for this burden of love. Give to this father and mother a holy hunger for Thy word, open their eyes to behold wondrous things out of Thy law, renew their minds and establish their hearts in Thy truth. Draw each of them to look unto Jesus and be saved, and grant them fellowship with Thyself and with Thy Son. Restrain the adversary and let Thy light prevail. Make their child a vessel of wisdom and kindness, faithful to sow and trusting Thee for the harvest. Keep this whole family in Thy mercy, that they may be found together in Christ in time and in eternity. We ask this in the name of Jesus our only salvation. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your love and burden for your parents is evident and it is a beautiful thing to bring before the Lord. I join you in thanking God for the hunger He has already placed in your heart for them, and for the thoughtful gift of those large print Bibles that you may read and grow together.

I pray with you according to 1 Peter 2:2, that as newborn babes they would crave the pure spiritual milk of the Word, that they would grow thereby. Just as God Himself speaks to us through Scripture, I ask that He would open their eyes as they read together, that the Word would not remain only on the page but would stir their souls, renew their minds, and undo years of wrong thinking, worries and cares. May He replace those cares with His peace and give them joy in reading, understanding, retaining and being doers of what they hear.

I also pray that the Lord would strengthen your fellowship as a family, that time spent together whether in the Word or in edifying things would be sweet and draw you closer to Christ and to one another. Scripture calls us to honor father and mother, and your desire to walk with them in love and patience honors Him. I ask that God would fill you with wisdom, love, kindness and gentleness, that your words and life would point them to Christ with grace and truth.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ who alone is the way of salvation, I ask that any blindness be removed and that the light of the gospel would shine clearly upon them. Now is the day of salvation, and I pray they would lay hold of it fully and not miss the eternal life You offer. I ask that You would guard them from the deception and schemes of the evil one, restrain his influence by Your power as described in Revelation 20, and release Your light and love over their home.

May the Lord continue this good work He has begun in your family, and may you all be encouraged as you seek Him together. I will continue to pray for you and for your parents to grow in hunger for the Word and in fellowship in Christ.
