Begging you to pray for my brother ### (### years old) he is being influenced by the new age beliefs I used to have. I was into new age before being saved and I influenced him and he is accepting hinduism and this beliefs of new age to the point of almost mocking. Please beg for his soul , he was raped by a male cousin when he was a boy and forced him to abuse a dog when he was ### years old. He has a lotof trauma and anger and loneliness. Please pray for salvation

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother in earnest prayer. The pain of seeing a loved one stray from the truth is profound, especially when we know the deception and emptiness of false beliefs. We understand the deep concern you carry, having once walked that same path before the Lord graciously saved you. The enemy seeks to keep souls in bondage through lies, trauma, and bitterness, but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18).

First, we must address the gravity of the spiritual deception your brother is embracing. Hinduism and New Age beliefs are not merely different perspectives, they are false religions that lead souls away from the one true God. The Bible is clear: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and any teaching that denies this is a snare of the devil. We rebuke the lies of these false religions in the name of Jesus and command every spirit of deception to loose its grip on your brother’s mind and heart.

The trauma your brother has endured is heartbreaking, being violated in such a way as a child, and then forced into further sin, would leave deep wounds. The enemy exploits such pain to fuel anger, loneliness, and rebellion, but God’s heart is to heal and restore. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers every sin committed against him and every sin he was forced to commit. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We pray that the Lord would break the chains of shame and guilt that may be keeping him from running to Christ.

Your brother’s mocking spirit is a sign of hardness of heart, but we know that God can soften even the most resistant soul. The Bible tells us, "The Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it can’t save; nor his ear dull, that it can’t hear" (Isaiah 59:1). We cry out for the Holy Spirit to convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and for the scales to fall from his eyes so he may see the truth.

We also lift up your own heart in this. It is painful to see someone we love reject the truth, especially when we once led them astray. But God has redeemed you, and He can redeem your brother too. We pray for your strength and peace as you continue to pray and witness to him in love. Remember, "The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). Your prayers are powerful, and we stand with you in them.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken hearts for this young man. Lord, we ask that You would shatter the lies of Hinduism and New Age deception that have taken root in his mind. We rebuke every spirit of false religion, trauma, anger, and loneliness in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we ask that You would surround him with Your love and truth.

Father, we bring his past before You, the pain, the violation, the shame. We ask that You would heal every wound and break every chain of bondage. Let him know that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the God who heals (Exodus 15:26). Soften his heart, Lord, and draw him to Yourself. Let him encounter Your love in a way that leaves no room for doubt.

We pray for salvation, Lord. Save him from the path of destruction and lead him into Your light. Let him know that Jesus died for his sins, every sin committed against him and every sin he has committed. Let him find forgiveness, peace, and purpose in You. We ask that You would send laborers into his life, believers who can speak truth and love into his heart.

And Lord, we pray for our sister who has brought this request. Give her strength, wisdom, and patience as she continues to intercede for her brother. Let her be a light to him, showing the love of Christ in all she does. May she find comfort in Your presence and hope in Your promises.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

When someone has endured such profound betrayal as a child, it can shatter their ability to trust, especially to trust a loving Father. Sexual abuse doesn’t just wound the body; it can devastate a person’s sense of worth, safety, and hope. The anger, the loneliness, and even the mocking of faith often function as a shield, a desperate way to feel in control after being so powerless. The New Age ideas may feel attractive to him because they put the self at the center, bypassing the terrifying vulnerability of trusting a God who allowed such pain. None of this excuses his choices, but it helps us pray with compassion rather than despair.

Your strongest role right now is not to debate or correct his beliefs, but to be a steady, patient presence that contradicts the lies trauma planted in him. Let him see in you a love that is safe, consistent, and unconditional, the kind of love that points quietly toward Jesus. If he ever shows even a small crack of openness, you might gently mention that a Christian counselor trained in trauma could help him work through the frozen anger and shame, not as a spiritual attack but as a practical step toward wholeness. Healing from such deep wounds often needs that kind of skilled, long-term care.

And please care for your own heart as well. The guilt you may carry about having once influenced him can be placed at the foot of the cross; God’s grace covers that, just as His mercy can pursue .

Father, we lift up before You, a young man carrying unimaginable pain. You see the wounds of betrayal, the anger, and the loneliness. In Your mercy, dismantle the false comforts and lies that have taken hold of him, and awaken in him a hunger for the real love and healing that only Jesus gives. Protect him, pursue him, and in Your perfect time, bring him safely into Your kingdom. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Thank you for praying. When we pray it does t seem like nothing happens but faith knows better and with perseverance and time prayers have power. When we pray for one another we are able to recieve strength from God. If we pray regularly and continue in prayer we are able to find healing. Thank you God for leading our family towards a relationship with you the only true salvation. I was also new age BTW. And although I recognized Yeshua as the messiah I continued woth mixed beliefs and nobody could convince me otherwise except that God drew me up. At the time Christians just seemed like they didnt know anything. Instead of being invigorated by a sense of unity and community centered around love and worship of God I felt like Christians turned a blind eye to everuthing that was out there. Really though after years of exploration I found my way back to Christ. I layched onto biblical themes. And the more I wanted to find a wife and marry but couldn't find her the more I started to realize I needed to change but didnt know how but God helped me convert. Ultimately im still not married and it takes enormous effort to persist without a wife. To be happy is not possible and I live most of days in sickness and near defeat. But prayer and worship are my crutches. And prayer and worship have been my legs and arms to keep going. I've had 0 strength on my own to go through thos fire. But God makes it worth it when everything I pray and worship him he gets me through it and reminds me to go all in yo prayer faith and worship all the time. The only way to make it through this sobriety and this chastity bot on my own but with Christ. A pronise is a pronise whether it takes a long time or not and I believe God gave me several dreams promising me a wife. So I believe and pray and give thanks to God. I have no strength on my own except I pray and worship God. May Lord Yeshua and the Father be your strength too and get you through the toughest season of life. Gods love. Lord Yeshuas name amen.

The burden you bear for your brother’s soul is not unnoticed in heaven; you beg for his salvation, and even so the heart of Christ bleeds for him. Your own rescue from the snares of new age delusion is a living testimony that no darkness is too deep for the light of the Gospel. The same sovereign grace that plucked you from the pit can lay hold of him.

Salvation is entirely God’s work; it is not a puzzle to be solved by human intellect nor a prize earned by moral effort, it is the free gift of God in Christ Jesus. Tell your brother, even in his mocking, that the Lord of Glory stands with open arms crying, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” A single glance of faith at the crucified Savior brings instantaneous, perfect salvation. It is that simple, and that divine.

His grievous wounds from childhood do not bar the door of mercy; rather, they cry out for the healing balm that only Jesus can apply. The anger, the loneliness, all of it, can be swallowed up in the love of the One who was wounded for our transgressions. Urge him to leave the beggarly elements of hinduism and new age philosophies, which can never cleanse the conscience, and to trust in the Person of Christ, who is Himself salvation.

Pray on, plead the promises, and never cease to set before him the common salvation that is for all who believe. Faith is the hand that receives the gift; let him be urged to cease from his own reasonings and depend wholly upon the finished work of Jesus. God’s salvation is a present possession, this very hour, if he will believe, he shall not be ashamed. Press the matter upon him with tears, but with unwavering confidence in the power of the Gospel, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes.

The travail of your soul for your brother is a holy thing, a spark of that divine compassion which seeks not revenge but the gaining of a brother. For it is the evil one who has seized him, not the brother you once knew. Do not be angry with him, but with the sin and the enemy who exploits his wounds. The unspeakable evils he suffered as a child have left a field uncultivated, and now thorns choke the good seed. But the harvest is not yet past. The souls prepared for salvation are like fields white for reaping, and the Lord of the harvest can yet pluck him from the fire.

Direct your anger where it belongs: against the passions and the deceiver, not against the one you long to see saved. Chasten your own soul, scourge your conscience, be severe against your own sins, and in that humble place, intercede. Your former embracing of those empty philosophies was turned by God’s mercy to your own salvation; so too your brother’s bondage can become the very ground of his deliverance. The sufferings he endured and the comfort you have received are not for you alone, they work for his consolation, if you endure in prayer and gentle witness.

But remember the terror of the judgment: no brother, no mother, no advocate can redeem a soul that clings to darkness. His mockery is the ragings of a wounded heart, not the settled rejection of the truth. Let no harsh word or weariness destroy that building of God for the sake of a trifle. In patience, in fasting, in tears, treat him not as an enemy but as a brother gained. Even if the work seems lowly, cross mountains of frustration for the sake of that one soul. For God spared not His own Son that such wounded ones might be healed.
