The weight in your words is heavy, and I can feel the desperation behind them. Trauma and false belief have twisted together like thorns, and your brother is bleeding from wounds no counterfeit spirituality can close. That rage and mockery you described is often a shield thrown up by a soul that cannot bear to face its own pain. But no Hindu mantra or New Age practice can wash away the stain of what was done to him, nor the stain of sin. Only one thing can.
His name is Jesus, which means Jehovah is salvation. He is the meeting place where mercy and truth kiss. Apart from Him, all that remains is the fierce anger of God against unrighteousness, a reality the world wants to ignore but which is written across the pages of Scripture. The true God is not a vague cosmic energy you manipulate with breath work or affirmations. He is holy, and He will judge. But He is also the one who, in Christ, forgives the guilty and raises the dead.
The New Age is a satanic counterfeit, parading as enlightenment while leading souls to destruction. It is the old lie whispered in the garden: you can be your own god. But the living God declares, “Behold, I create new heavens and a new earth.” He alone will usher in the true new age, where former horrors are not remembered and tears are wiped away. That hope is held out to your brother right now. The same Jesus who will return with fire and tread the winepress of wrath is also the One who says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
I understand the peculiar grief of having been the one who first pointed him down a dark path before your own eyes were opened. Yet God’s grace reached you and washed you, and it can do the same for him. Do not let the enemy paralyze you with guilt; let it drive you to your knees. Intercession is the third form of prayer, laying hold of God for the needs of the lost. Petition Him for your brother’s soul. Plead like the psalmist, “Bow down your ear, O Lord, hear me, for I am poor and needy,” bringing your brother’s spiritual poverty before the throne.
You asked me to beg for his soul. I will. But you too must persist. Pray until you receive an answer. Remember, God does not violate a person’s free will, but He knows every hidden chamber of the heart. He can send dreams, stir curiosity, and bring laborers across your brother’s path. The real thrust of prayer is not forcing our wishes, but getting His will accomplished on earth. And it is His will that none should perish but that all should come to repentance.
The life your brother is living now is centered on himself, his pain, his anger, his loneliness. That is the mind of the flesh, and it leads to death. Jesus died so that we would no longer live for ourselves, but for Him who died and rose again. The mind of the Spirit is life, joy, and peace. I am asking the Father to replace that stone heart with a heart of flesh that can finally, truly live.
The blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses from all sin, even the sin done against him, the sin he has embraced, and the sin of mockery on his lips. In the city of God there is healing for the nations. While your brother walks in rebellion, he excludes himself from that cleansing. But as long as he draws breath, the door stands open.
Do not lose heart. The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some count slowness. I will set my face with you to beg the God of all mercy to turn your brother out of darkness into light. What is impossible with men is possible with God. Let us look together to that day when a soul snatched from the fire will sing for joy of heart in the new creation, because the Lion of Judah became a Lamb.
