Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me about this: I'm going to try to explain all this well but it may be difficult. Basically, I have been experiencing spiritual warfare for years after I left the new age and came back to Christ. This warfare often influences people to behave in abnormally negative ways toward me for no reason and then I sometimes notice that when they do, something bad will happen to them afterward. I'm not sure if this is due to God defending me or what. Now, it's one thing if this happens and the person actually means me harm but it also happens with people who I have good relationships with but who can just be influenced by this demonic evil for whatever reason. Please pray this will stop as I now think for certain reasons that it's affecting my boyfriend and causing bad to happen to him. Pray that if God is defending me in this happening that He would have mercy on those who I have good relationships with but who are just vulnerable. Pray all this would ultimately stop. I just want to add to please continue to pray for me about this and for my boyfriend. I'm so scared. He's gotten so sick rapidly since we got together and he wasn't like this before we started dating. He had health problems but not like this. I admit it may have been outside of God's will for me to date him. I tried to break up with him and we were both heartbroken so I went back to him. PLEASE pray for God's mercy. He can do anything He wants and I'm begging him for help and mercy in this situation. Please pray my boyfriend won't die. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help and the deep fear in your heart, and we stand with you in prayer and truth. First, we must address the spiritual warfare you are facing, this is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we serve a God who is greater than any scheme of the devil (1 John 4:4). The attacks you describe, where people behave negatively toward you and then suffer consequences, may indeed be a sign of spiritual conflict, but we must be cautious not to assume it is always God’s direct judgment. Scripture warns us not to attribute every hardship to divine retribution (John 9:3), but rather to stand firm in faith, knowing that God is our defender (Psalm 34:17-19).

The relationship you describe with your boyfriend raises serious concerns that must be addressed with biblical truth. You mentioned that this union may have been outside of God’s will, and we must confront this directly. Scripture is clear that believers are to marry only in the Lord (1 Corinthians 7:39), and dating with the intention of marriage should be pursued under God’s guidance and within His boundaries. The rapid decline in your boyfriend’s health since entering this relationship is a red flag that cannot be ignored. While we do not presume to know God’s specific will for your lives, we must consider whether this relationship has opened doors to spiritual attack or whether it is not aligned with God’s design for your life.

Sexual intimacy outside of marriage, what Scripture calls fornication, is a sin that grieves the Holy Spirit and can invite spiritual oppression (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this is part of your relationship, it must be repented of and forsaken. The enemy often uses ungodly relationships to bring bondage, and we see this playing out in the physical and spiritual toll it is taking on both of you. We urge you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can help you navigate this with wisdom and accountability.

We also must rebuke the fear that has gripped your heart. Fear is not from God (2 Timothy 1:7), and it can paralyze you from making the hard but necessary decisions. You mentioned breaking up with your boyfriend and then returning, this back-and-forth may be prolonging the spiritual battle. If this relationship is not God’s will, staying in it will only bring more pain. We encourage you to surrender it fully to the Lord, trusting Him to heal both of your hearts and restore what has been broken.

Now, let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up this dear sister who is under intense spiritual attack. We ask that You would break every chain of oppression, silence every lying voice of the enemy, and surround her with Your angels to guard and protect her (Psalm 91:11). Father, we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we rebuke every spirit of fear, confusion, and torment in Jesus’ name.

Lord, we bring her boyfriend before You, asking for Your mercy and healing. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You (Jeremiah 32:17). Touch his body, restore his health, and protect him from further harm. But Father, we also ask that You would give this sister clarity and courage to walk in obedience to Your will. If this relationship is not of You, give her the strength to release it, trusting You to heal and provide. If there has been sin in this relationship, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing (1 John 1:9), and we declare that the blood of Jesus covers and redeems.

Father, we pray for those who have been influenced by the enemy to act negatively toward her. Soften their hearts, open their eyes to the truth, and let them experience Your mercy and grace. Do not let them be pawns in the enemy’s schemes, but use this situation to draw them closer to You.

Lord, we ask that You would fill this sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Replace her fear with faith, her confusion with clarity, and her sorrow with joy. Surround her with godly community who can support and encourage her. And Father, if it is Your will, bring a godly spouse into her life, one who loves You above all else and will walk with her in righteousness.

We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, the One who has overcome the world (John 16:33). Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord earnestly in prayer and fasting, asking Him to reveal His will for this relationship. Spend time in His Word, particularly in Psalm 34, which speaks of God’s deliverance for the righteous. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. The enemy wants you to feel isolated, but you are not alone, God is with you, and so are we. Stand firm, sister, and trust that God is working even in this hard place. His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

We hear the fear in your words, and we want you to know we are carrying this with you. It is exhausting to live under years of spiritual heaviness and then to watch someone you love become rapidly ill. That kind of fear can make everything feel connected and out of control.

One thing we want to gently press: please make sure your boyfriend is under a doctor's care for this sudden decline. Prayer and medical attention are not opposites; God uses both, and a rapid change in health deserves a thorough evaluation. Alongside that, we would encourage you to bring this whole picture to a mature pastor or Christian counselor in person. You have been carrying a very heavy weight alone, and steady, prayerful support can help you sort through what is happening without fear driving every decision.

We are asking God for mercy, for healing for your boyfriend, for protection over both of you, and for clear wisdom about the relationship.

Father, have mercy. We lift up this woman and her boyfriend to You. Please bring healing to his body through whatever means You choose, and give wisdom to those caring for him. Quiet the fear that is tormenting her, and break whatever is stirring confusion and dread. Lead them both into Your will, protect them, and give them peace that rests in You. In Jesus' name, amen.

The darkness you describe is heavy, but it is not the blackness of the valley of the shadow of death. Take heart even in affliction, for the compassion of God is still to be seen. Yet I must deal plainly with you. You confess that your bond with this young man may have been outside the will of God. That is a serious matter. While you cling to what God has not appointed, the peace of Christ will be hidden from you. The fear that he will die has become a bondage to your spirit, and this fear of death is very dishonoring to God. It is natural to the sinner, but it is not necessary to the saint. Look unto Jesus, who alone conquers for us the fear of death. He is the messenger of mercy, the Savior of the lost.

The Evil One would use this terror to drive you away from the path of obedience. You left the new age and came back to Christ; the enemy is enraged, but the Lord has designs of mercy for you now that He has begun to try you. I am glad it is dark with you, for the darkest part of the night is that which heralds the dawning of the day. But do not be cajoled out of divine mercy by the temptations of the fiend of hell. Bring this matter to the light of God's Word. If this union is not a covenant ordered by God, lay it down at His feet. Heartbreak is no warrant for disobedience. The cross is heavy, but to obey is better than sacrifice. I cannot pray for God to bless a relationship that runs against His law; I can and will pray for His mercy upon you both, for the young man's life, for his healing if it be God's will, and above all for his soul's salvation and your full surrender to Christ. Do not take upon yourself the secret workings of providence as though you could command harm to others. That is not the spirit of Christ. The Lord defends His own, but He also shows mercy to the vulnerable. Pray for those who despitefully use you, and leave vengeance to Him. Prayer is the forerunner of mercy. Pour out your heart before the Lord. Ask not chiefly for the preservation of a bond that may be sin, but for grace to obey, for his conversion, and for the will of God. God can do anything, and Christ is able to save to the uttermost. Trust in Him alone.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard, and the fear and love you carry for your boyfriend are clear. It is a mercy that you have left the new age and returned to Christ, for He alone is the way of salvation and the faithful High Priest who became man out of love to have mercy on us and to make reconciliation for our sins.

You describe a heavy burden of spiritual warfare and a fear of death, both for yourself and for your boyfriend. Scripture teaches us where our fear should rest. Christ said to fear not those who can harm the body but cannot harm the soul, but rather to fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. When the fear of death rules us, we live as slaves, always anxious and without peace. But Christ has broken the power of death through His own death and resurrection, and with it He has broken the tyranny of the devil. The one who has learned the hope of the resurrection and trusts Christ no longer has to live in terror of death, because even the worst that men or the enemy can do cannot touch the soul that is kept in Christ. This is where true freedom and confidence before God are found, not in watching for signs in how others treat you or what happens to them afterward, but in looking to Jesus who is merciful and able to help.

It is also important to gently consider what you yourself have sensed, that this dating relationship may be outside of God's will. You tried to step away and then returned because it was painful, and now you are afraid for his health. God's design for good is clear and loving. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy and living together belong within that marriage. God does not call us to continue in what is outside His will and ask Him to bless it as it is. He calls us to seek His mercy, to turn to Him in repentance and obedience, and to walk in His ways which lead to life. This does not mean He is causing harm to others to defend you, and we should not interpret every hardship that comes to others as God's punishment through you. God defends His children, but He is also merciful and just, and He calls us to pray for the good of others, not to carry guilt for their sufferings.

For your boyfriend's rapid illness, please ensure he receives prompt and continued medical care, and seek wise pastoral counsel in person from a faithful church who can walk with you both face to face.

We will pray for you and for him, not to bless a situation that is outside God's design, but to ask for God's true mercy and help according to His will.

We pray that God would have mercy on you and on your boyfriend, that He would grant healing and relief according to His perfect will, that He would deliver you both from fear and from the power of the enemy, and that He would give you peace through trust in Christ's victory over death. We pray that He would give you clarity, courage and support to seek His will for your relationship, to pursue purity and holiness, and either to pursue marriage as God has ordained or to step apart in obedience if that is what faithfulness requires. We pray that both of you would grow in faith in Jesus Christ alone, that you would know the comfort of your merciful High Priest, and that you would be freed from living as slaves to the fear of death, finding instead confidence in the resurrection and the life to come.

Thank you for opening your heart with such honesty about what you have been carrying. Coming out of the new age and returning to Christ is a real turning, and it is understandable that you would feel sensitive to spiritual conflict and also carry deep fear and guilt, especially when someone you love is suffering.

The Bible teaches that the deepest meaning of death is separation from God, and that Jesus came to deal with that separation. Through His death and resurrection He has taken the sting out of death for those who belong to Him. Death is not the final word for the child of God. It has been swallowed up in victory through Jesus Christ our Lord. That does not mean we will not walk through dark valleys, but it means we do not have to walk through them alone. Even in the valley of the shadow, we can say with David, I will fear no evil for You are with me. Remembering that the Lord is with you is the cure for fear.

You described a painful pattern where you feel responsible when people act harshly toward you and then experience trouble afterward, and you wonder if God is defending you or if you are somehow causing harm. It is important to know that God is both just and merciful, and those two meet together perfectly in Jesus. Justice is getting what we deserve. Mercy is not getting what we deserve. God cannot simply overlook wrong, because He is just, so He made a way to be merciful without violating justice. He laid the guilt of our sin on His Son, and Jesus paid the penalty in our place. That is how mercy and truth meet. That is how righteousness and peace meet. It is only through Jesus Christ, and through Him alone, that we have forgiveness and peace with God.

Because of this, you do not need to live under a cloud of guilt that expects punishment to fall on you or on those around you. The Scriptures show that an unconfessed sense of guilt can create a constant expectation of punishment, as if we are waiting for something bad to happen. David knew this when he prayed, have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. He said his sin was ever before him until he confessed it openly to God. There is nothing that clears the conscience like honest confession to God and receiving His cleansing through Christ. If there are things you need to confess, bring them simply and directly to Him. He is faithful to forgive.

Fear is also working heavily in what you describe, and fear is an enemy of faith. When fear takes over, faith is pushed aside, and when faith in the Lord is strong, fear loses its hold. The fear of man is a snare that traps us, but whoever puts his trust in the Lord will be safe. Much fear comes when we forget the Lord and begin to interpret every difficult circumstance as a sign of spiritual attack or divine punishment. God does not want you to live in that kind of fear. He wants you to remember Him, to hope in His mercy, and to walk in His truth.

Scripture says all the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth to those who keep His covenant and walk in His testimonies. And it says the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy, to deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in trouble. His mercy endures forever. Like a green olive tree planted in the house of God, we are called to trust in His mercy forever, not in our own ability to figure out every spiritual cause behind every hardship.

Regarding your boyfriend, I hear your fear and your love for him, and your desire for God's mercy on his health. It is right to cry out for mercy, for mercy is exactly what we all need. God hears that cry. Pray for his healing and for God's gracious help, and also bring your relationship itself honestly before the Lord. You mentioned wondering if dating him was outside God's will, and that you tried to break up and then returned. God calls us to walk in truth and to keep His covenant, and He has shown us that marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. Dating should honor that design with purity and truth. Rather than asking God to bless a situation that may not honor Him, ask Him to show you both how to walk in a way that honors Him, whether that means pursuing purity together with marriage in view in a way that is wise and accountable, or stepping back to seek Him separately. Bring your choices into the light and let His Word guide you. His ways toward you are mercy and truth as you walk in His ways.

You are not the cause of your boyfriend's illness, and you do not need to carry the weight that your presence brings harm to those you love. People get sick and face hardship for many reasons in a fallen world, and God alone is the judge and the healer. Your part is to trust Him, to walk honestly before Him, and to hope in His mercy.

I will pray for you and for him.

Father, have mercy upon us according to Your tender mercies. We thank You that mercy and truth have met together in Jesus Christ, who bore our guilt and paid for our sin so that we can have peace with You. We ask for Your mercy on this dear one who is afraid and burdened with guilt and confusion. Cleanse the conscience through confession and the blood of Jesus, and replace fear with faith as she remembers that You are with her. Deliver her from the snare of fearing man and from every tormenting fear. Let her know that death has lost its sting through Christ and that Your mercy endures forever. We ask for mercy for her boyfriend in his sickness. You are the Lord who lifts up from the gates of death. We ask for healing according to Your will, for comfort, for wisdom for those caring for him, and above all for both of them to know salvation through Jesus alone and to walk in Your covenant in purity and truth. Teach them to hope in Your mercy and to find that all Your paths are mercy and truth to those who keep Your ways. Give strength to the weak and rest to the fearful, and let them trust in Your mercy forever. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.

We are deeply moved by your courage in sharing such a heavy burden with us, and we are so grateful that you allowed us to stand with you in prayer during this intense spiritual battle. Your honesty about the fear, confusion, and love you feel for your boyfriend has not gone unnoticed, and we have continued to lift you both before the Lord, pleading for His mercy, protection, and divine intervention.

We have prayed specifically that the Lord would break every chain of spiritual warfare targeting you and those around you, that He would expose and dismantle any schemes of the enemy, and that His peace would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We have asked Him to shield your boyfriend from further harm, to restore his health, and to reveal His perfect will for your relationship—whether that means healing, redirection, or something only God can orchestrate. Most of all, we have prayed for His mercy to fall upon those caught in the crossfire of this battle, that they would be freed from any demonic influence and drawn closer to the light of Christ.

If the Lord has moved in a way you can see—if there has been relief, healing, or a breakthrough—we would love to rejoice with you and give Him all the glory. But if the weight of this struggle still feels heavy, please know we are not walking away. We will continue to intercede for you both, asking the Lord to strengthen your faith, to surround you with His angels, and to work all things together for good according to His purpose.

You are not alone in this. The same God who delivered you from the darkness of the past is fighting for you now. Hold fast to His promises, lean on His strength, and trust that He hears every cry of your heart. We stand with you, believing that our Father is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine.

May He bless you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and may His presence be your comfort in the days ahead. We pray this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus. Amen.
