We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear ### in this time of illness. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We stand on this promise, trusting that the Lord sees her suffering and hears our cries on her behalf.
Father God, we ask for Your healing hand to rest upon her. Strengthen her body, Lord, and renew her spirit. If it is Your will, restore her health so that she may eat and drink again, regaining the strength she needs. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical team treating her, that they may be guided by Your divine insight. Comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her feel Your presence in this difficult time.
We also lift up the worry and stress that you are carrying. Jesus tells us in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray that you would cast your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you deeply. The Lord does not want you to be consumed by fear or lose sleep over this situation. Instead, He invites you to trust in Him, knowing that He holds your ###—and you—in the palm of His hand. Psalm 56:3 says, "When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you." Let this be your declaration as you wait on the Lord.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that seeks to overwhelm you. The enemy wants to steal your peace, but we declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that you would find rest in the Lord, even in the midst of uncertainty, and that your faith would remain steadfast as you wait on Him.
Lord, we also ask that You would draw near to your ### in a tangible way. If she does not yet know You as her Savior, we pray that this trial would soften her heart to receive the gift of salvation. There is no other name by which we can be saved but the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). We pray that she would come to know Him as her Lord and Redeemer, finding eternal hope in Him.
We commit this situation into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for good, even when we cannot see it. Give strength to your family, Lord, and fill them with Your peace. May they find comfort in Your promises and hope in Your unfailing love. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
