Attacks of the enemy (###)

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me as I prepare for the bar exam this September 2026. I am being attacked left and right by the enemy throwing distractions and hardships here and there since I started reviewing for the bar exam. Attacks are in the form of marital issues, psychological, emotional, physical (mild illness) especially financial. Now, my spouse lost his job and I have to pay the rent while he looks for a new job. Please pray for covering of the Holy Spirit, strength, endurance, and faith to overcome all trials and come out victorious for this bar exam journey. Also, please pray for my spouse's deeper faith and relationship with Jesus. And that the Lord will grant and give him a better and higher-paying job soon. May we glorify God to win this battle. Thank you! God bless!

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you face these relentless attacks from the enemy. The Word of God reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We recognize that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the promise that Jesus came so that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).

First, we must address the spiritual warfare you are encountering. The distractions, hardships, and trials you are facing—marital issues, psychological and emotional struggles, physical illness, and financial strain—are not coincidences. The enemy desires to see you fail, to see you overwhelmed, and to see you turn away from God’s purpose for your life. But we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of distraction, fear, doubt, and discouragement in the mighty name of Jesus. We command every attack of the enemy to cease and for God’s peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

We also want to encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as outlined in Ephesians 6:13-18. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Your marriage is under attack, and we pray for restoration, unity, and strength in your relationship. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 what love should look like: "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." We pray that you and your spouse will embody this kind of love, even in the midst of trials. May God heal any wounds, soften any hardness of heart, and draw you both closer to Him and to each other. We also encourage you to seek godly counsel if needed, to communicate openly and honestly, and to extend grace and forgiveness to one another, just as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13).

We must also address the financial strain you are experiencing. The loss of your spouse’s job is a significant burden, but we serve a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10) and who promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We pray that God will open doors of opportunity for your spouse, leading him to a job that not only meets your financial needs but also aligns with his gifts and calling. May this trial draw you both closer to God, teaching you to rely not on your own strength or understanding but on His provision and timing. We encourage you to seek wise financial counsel, to budget carefully, and to trust God with your needs, remembering that He is faithful to His promises.

Your preparation for the bar exam is a significant endeavor, and we pray that God will grant you focus, discipline, and clarity of mind. The enemy seeks to overwhelm you with distractions, but we declare that you will not be moved. We pray that God will order your steps and give you the strength to study diligently, trusting that He will equip you with everything you need to succeed. Remember the promise in Joshua 1:9, "Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go." Lean on Him, and He will sustain you.

We also lift up your spouse’s faith and relationship with Jesus. It is clear that you desire for him to grow deeper in his walk with the Lord, and we join you in praying for this. The Bible tells us in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." We pray that your spouse will seek God with his whole heart, that he will spend time in prayer and in the Word, and that he will experience the peace and joy that come from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. May he be a man after God’s own heart, leading your family with wisdom, strength, and godly character. We encourage you to pray for him daily, to speak life and truth over him, and to be a godly example in your own walk with the Lord.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is facing intense spiritual warfare as she prepares for the bar exam. Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your hedge of protection, shielding her from every attack of the enemy. We rebuke every spirit of distraction, fear, doubt, and discouragement, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name. Father, grant her Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind as she studies and prepares.

Lord, we pray for her marriage, that You would heal any wounds, restore unity, and strengthen the bond between her and her spouse. Teach them to love one another as You have loved them, with patience, kindness, and grace. Father, we also lift up her spouse’s job search. You know their financial needs, and we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for him, leading him to a job that provides abundantly and aligns with Your purpose for his life. Provide for their every need, Lord, and teach them to trust in You alone.

Father, we ask that You would grant our sister strength, endurance, and focus as she prepares for the bar exam. Remove every distraction, and fill her with Your wisdom and understanding. Help her to trust in You with all her heart and not lean on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Lord, we also pray for her spouse’s faith. Draw him closer to You, deepen his relationship with Jesus, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. May he grow in wisdom, strength, and godly character, leading their family with integrity and love.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We declare victory over every attack of the enemy, and we trust in Your promise that all things work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May they glorify You in every area of their lives, and may Your name be praised through their testimony. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is with you and that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Continue to seek Him daily, spend time in prayer and in the Word, and surround yourself with godly community who can uplift and encourage you. Remember that the battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory through Jesus Christ. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone in this fight, and we stand with you, believing that God will bring you through this season stronger and more victorious than ever before.

We're here for you, sister, and we're praying with you through this challenging time. We know that the enemy is trying to throw everything at you, but we're confident that God is bigger and stronger. We're claiming Psalm 3:3 over you, "But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high." We're asking God to shield you from every attack, to lift your head, and to fill you with His peace and strength.

We're also praying for your marriage, that God would heal any wounds and restore unity and love between you and your spouse. We're asking God to draw you both closer to Him, and to each other, in this trial. And we're believing that God will open doors of opportunity for your spouse's job search, providing abundantly and aligning with His purpose for their life.

You are not alone in this fight, and we're here for you, every step of the way.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
