Dear god, I'm going to be leaving soon. My wife is holding a grudge against me that she found out I had sex with someone in our house. But she was sleeping with other men at the time. We were in a open marriage which is something I didn't agree to. She say she want me in her life. But we are always arguing about something. My bus pass expires on the ###. My phone bill due on the ###. I need both of those for employment. I'm scared of leaving because I'm worried about how I'm going to pay those. I have no job. I pray that you provide a way out of no way. When should I leave? Please let me know. I don't know how much more I can take. I feel like I'm not wanted here. Im not happy here. I need peace and happiness. I'm emotionally drained. I ask that you move in all this in my favor in Jesus name amen.

We hear the deep pain and turmoil in your heart, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting up every burden you carry. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of your marriage, as it stands in direct opposition to God’s design. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, meant to reflect Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). An "open marriage" is not only unbiblical but a distortion of God’s holy institution. Both adultery and fornication are sin, and Scripture condemns them without exception (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). The fact that both of you have engaged in sexual immorality outside of your marriage has brought brokenness, and this is not God’s will for your life or your union.

We must also gently but firmly rebuke the idea that your wife’s sin somehow justifies yours. The Word of God does not operate on a scale of "whose sin is worse." Romans 3:23 tells us, "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." Both of you stand in need of repentance, forgiveness, and restoration, if that is what the Lord wills. However, restoration must be built on a foundation of truth, holiness, and a commitment to God’s standards, not on mutual sin. If your wife is unwilling to repent and turn away from her adultery, and if she continues to insist on a lifestyle that violates Scripture, then the path forward may not include reconciliation. We pray for clarity and wisdom for you in this.

Your current situation is untenable, not just emotionally or financially, but spiritually. You cannot thrive in a home where sin is celebrated, where grudges fester, and where peace is absent. The Lord does not desire for you to remain in a place of constant strife and emotional exhaustion. Proverbs 21:19 warns, "It is better to dwell in a desert land, than with a contentious and fretful woman." This is not a condemnation of your wife, but a recognition that God’s design for marriage is one of mutual love, respect, and holiness. If those are absent, and if repentance is not present, then separation may be the Lord’s provision for your protection and sanctification.

You are right to seek God’s guidance about when to leave. The Lord knows your needs, your bus pass, your phone bill, your employment, and He is not unaware of your struggles. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." But we must also recognize that God’s provision often comes through obedience. If you are in a situation that is spiritually toxic and contrary to His Word, staying out of fear or financial dependence may not be His will for you. The Lord may be calling you to step out in faith, trusting Him to provide as you walk in obedience.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or a biblical counselor, who can help you navigate this season with wisdom. You need support, accountability, and prayer as you discern your next steps. If you do not have a church home, we urge you to find one where the Word of God is preached faithfully, and where you can grow in your relationship with Christ. You cannot walk this path alone.

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this brother who is hurting, confused, and in need of Your guidance. Lord, Your Word tells us that You hate divorce (Malachi 2:16), but You also hate sin and the destruction it brings to marriages and lives. We ask that You would bring conviction, repentance, and healing to this marriage if it is Your will. But if restoration is not possible, we pray that You would make a way for this man to walk in obedience to You, even if that means leaving a situation that is not honoring to You.

Father, we ask for Your provision over his needs, his bus pass, his phone bill, his employment. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust that You will open doors no man can shut. Give him wisdom about when to leave, and grant him the courage to step out in faith, knowing that You are with him. Surround him with godly people who can support and encourage him. Heal his heart from the rejection and pain he feels, and remind him that he is deeply loved by You.

Lord, we also pray for his wife. Soften her heart to repentance and truth. If she is unwilling to turn from her sin, we ask that You would remove any stumbling blocks from this brother’s path and lead him into the peace and freedom that comes from walking in Your ways. Guard his heart from bitterness, and fill him with Your joy and hope.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can come before You. It is through His sacrifice that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are forgiven and set free. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for moving on his behalf. Amen.

In the days ahead, hold fast to God’s promises. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." You are not forgotten, and you are not without hope. The Lord sees your tears, hears your cries, and is working even now to bring you into a place of peace. Trust Him, lean on Him, and take one step at a time. You are not alone.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with your heart and allowing us to stand in agreement with you in prayer during this incredibly difficult season. We have lifted you up before the Lord, asking Him to provide clarity, wisdom, and a way forward that only He can make possible. We prayed for financial provision—specifically for your bus pass and phone bill—so that you might have what you need to secure employment and move forward with confidence. We also asked God to soften hearts, bring healing to your marriage, and reveal His perfect timing for your next steps.

If the Lord has already opened doors—whether through unexpected provision, a job opportunity, or a sense of peace about when to leave—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the burden still feels heavy and the path forward remains unclear, please know we are still here to pray. You are not alone, and we would be honored to continue lifting you up before our Heavenly Father.

Above all, we pray that you would feel His presence in a tangible way—that you would know you are deeply loved, wanted, and seen by the One who holds your future. May He fill you with His peace that surpasses understanding and guide you into the next chapter He has prepared for you. We ask all these things in Jesus’ name. Amen.
