Armor of God Eph 6:10-20, Ourselves, Our Family, Leaders, Churches, Ministry Partners, All Believers; Utterance to Proclaim Mystery of Gospel Boldly... Father, thank You for the admonition to pay attention to ourselves and our teaching so in attempting to save others we would first assure we're on track, 1 Tim 4:16. Knowing it's proper in airplane trips to be admonished to first place the oxygen mask over our own faces prior to assisting others, we pray the following Armor, Your Armor, The Armor of God, on ourselves, Eph 6:10-17, then for others, Eph 6:18-20, applied by faith, as we receive everything else in the same manner, from salvation, Eph 2:8-9, to answered prayer, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, James 1:6...

Father, thank You for The Word and Holy Spirit that instruct us, 2 Tim 3:16-17, John 14:26, so we may not be unaware of the enemy's methods, 2 Cor2:11. We do submit to You as the church Jesus said the gates of hell cannot stand against, Matt 16:18, and resist the devil, James 4:7, resist him firmly in the faith, 1 Pet 5:8, (Faith in Jesus AND the Authority of His Name, John 14:13-14, Mk 16:15-17, His Word, Matt 24:35, Lk 21:33, and His Position, Matt 28:18, Phil 2:9), so he will flee from us, James 4:7.

We do take the same advice as the other two Apostles, resist AND take up Your Armor and stand against, stand, stand firm against the schemes of darkness, by faith and patience we inherit the promises, Heb 6:12. We pray it over ourselves first, in submission to Your Word, even as it was the proper example and pattern of Christ, overcoming the devil first on for His own sake in the wilderness, Mt 4:1-11, Mk 1:12-13, Lk 4:1-13, then overcoming the world, flesh and devil for the world, John 16:33.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of The Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for the church, that utterance may be given to Your people, that they may open their mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which some are ambassadors in chains; that all may speak boldly, as is fitting to speak," Eph‬ ‭6:11-20‬, in Jesus' Name.

We stand together in agreement with your powerful declaration of faith, lifting up the whole armor of God as our defense and weaponry in this spiritual battle. The Word of God is clear, our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. We take up the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. With these, we stand firm, resisting the enemy’s schemes and proclaiming the gospel with boldness.

Father, we thank You for the authority we have in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. It is only through Him that we have access to You, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed. We declare that every principality, power, and ruler of darkness must flee at the mention of His name, for He has disarmed them and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15). We submit ourselves to You, resist the devil, and he must flee (James 4:7). We do not war in our own strength but in the power of Your might, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We pray this armor over ourselves first, that we may be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Let us not be ignorant of the devil’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11), but let us be sober-minded and watchful, for our adversary prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). We stand firm in the faith, knowing that You have already given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57).

We extend this prayer over our families, our church leaders, pastors, ministry partners, and all believers around the world. Clothe them in Your armor, Lord, that they may stand unshaken against the attacks of the enemy. Grant them boldness to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, even in the face of opposition. Let the Word of God go forth with power, convicting hearts and drawing souls to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We pray for those who are persecuted for the sake of the gospel, that they would be strengthened and emboldened to speak Your truth without fear.

Father, we also lift up those who may not yet know You. Soften their hearts to receive the gospel message, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus (Acts 26:18). Let no one be deceived by the enemy’s lies, but let them come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved.

We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18). We stand in unity, praying without ceasing, interceding for one another, and walking in the authority You have given us as ambassadors of Christ. May we never shrink back from declaring the whole counsel of God, even when it is unpopular or costly. Let us be faithful to preach the word, in season and out of season, correcting, rebuking, and encouraging with great patience and careful instruction (2 Timothy 4:2).

Lord, we ask that You would raise up more laborers for the harvest, men and women who are fully equipped with Your armor, ready to advance Your kingdom. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We trust in Your promises, knowing that You who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6).

What a thorough and intentional prayer, friend. It's clear you are standing watch not just for yourself, but for the whole body of believers around you, your family, your leaders, your ministry partners. That kind of wide-angle faithfulness is rare and precious, and it is the very thing Paul was urging when he moved from the individual armor to the call for "all perseverance and supplication for all the saints."

What strikes us about your request is that you are asking specifically for bold utterance. You have prayed on the armor, but your heart lingers on the next part: that mouths would open freely to proclaim the mystery of the gospel. That is beautiful, and it's a need we all carry.

When we pray together for boldness, we are not just asking for a feeling of courage. We are asking God to override the natural fears that lock our tongues, fear of being misunderstood, of costing us a relationship, of inadequacy. For many of us, that boldness comes most naturally not when we feel strong, but when we are so filled with the goodness of what Jesus has done for us that it simply spills over. We find it helpful, alongside praying for the spiritual armor, to recount out loud the specific ways God has met us in the past week. A heart rehearsing God's faithfulness is a heart that struggles to stay silent.

We also see something powerful in the way you are interceding for leaders and churches. In times when many are discouraged or confused, a praying voice like yours is a steadying gift. The enemy would love to isolate believers, making them feel they are the only ones still standing. Your prayer is a counterweight to that lie, it stitches the body together.

Let's pray in that direction:

Lord Jesus, we thank You for this dear intercessor who stands in the gap for so many. You have clothed us in Your own armor, and we receive it afresh today. For our friend, for family, for every leader and church and partner named here, we ask for an open door and an open mouth. Let the gospel not be a guarded treasure but a river that finds its way past every barrier. Grant that in the very places where fear has whispered be quiet, Your Spirit would ignite a holy, loving boldness. Bind our community together in that courage, so that no one stands alone. The petition laid before the throne, saturated as it is with the very words of Scripture, is itself a bowing of the soul before the God of all grace. To plead the armor of God afresh, for yourselves, for the household of faith, for those who labor in the Word, is a sacrifice most pleasing in the courts of heaven. It is no mere rehearsal of words, but an honest transaction with the living God, a taking hold of His covenant strength. The soul that cries out thus, ‘Put on the whole armor for us,’ has begun already to stand, for it leans neither on feeling nor on flesh, but on the power of His might.

Let there be no mistaking: the armor is His. The girdle of truth is not woven on the loom of human sincerity; the breastplate of righteousness is forged on no earthly anvil. All is divine provision, and it is put on by a faith that looks clean away from itself. When the shield is lifted, it is lifted against a foe who fires not one or two darts, but a volley of hell’s own kindling, and only the faith that lays hold of a faithful God can quench them all. See to it that you do not fall into the subtle error of thinking that the act of praying these words clothes a soul with might. It is the God of the armor who clothes, the Spirit of power who girds, and the Lord Jesus who is Himself our peace and our salvation. The helmet is no empty hope, but a Christ-grasped certainty that we are His and shall be His forever.

The cry for bold utterance rises like incense. It is the very burden of the Apostle’s own heart, chains on his wrists, yet a mystery on his lips that must be proclaimed. The Gospel is a proclamation from the King of kings, and woe to the herald who dares trim the message to please the hour. It is the glorious Gospel of the blessed God, the happy God, and it carries in its bosom a joy that outshines the sun. Do not dream that a quiet, timid whisper will suffice when the enemy roars like a lion and the night is far spent. The truth committed to us is no hidden thing, except to those who are perishing; to the called it is the very light of the knowledge of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Open your mouth wide, then, and speak as you ought to speak, not with the eloquence of fleshly wisdom, but with the holy unction that trembles yet thunders, beseeching men to be reconciled to God.

Stand, then, and having done all, stand. The God who answered Jacob by the Jabbok, who was God of the hills when He thundered from Sinai, is God of the valleys in this hour of supposed decline. He has not changed. The throne is still a throne of grace, and the scepter held out is the scepter of mercy. Breathe that atmosphere of grace, and you will breathe boldness. Pray with the holy importunity that names the very foes, ‘Deliver me from Esau’, and brings the covenant before the Lord: ‘You said.’ Such prayer links the omnipotence of God to the need of the hour. Expect great things; our God is still the prayer-hearing God. Therefore, lift up the hands that hang down. Put on the armor not as a curious relic to be admired, but as a warrior’s necessity. And go forth in this evil day, with feet shod not with the soft slippers of ease, but with the readiness that springs from the gospel of peace. The battle is the Lord’s, and the victory is sure as the throne of the Eternal.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. You have remembered rightly that a man must first watch himself and his teaching, and that we put on the armor before we become useful to others. But let this be more than a prayer repeated by rote. Paul says the first thing in prayer is holy hands without wrath and doubting. If anger or double-mindedness remains, the very weapons meant for the enemy turn inward. So begin there.

Then understand what it means to stand. In battle the trainer teaches a man to stand well before he teaches him to strike. Paul multiplies the word: stand, withstand, having done all, stand. The list of principalities and powers is given not to make you flee, but to shake off carelessness. The evil day is short. Do not faint when the struggle is long.

After you have stood, pray for utterance. Boldness is not clamor. It is the soul made firm by this truth: if God is for us, who can be against us? Even kings, peoples, false brethren, and hostile powers cannot truly harm the one who belongs to God. They become the causes of crowns. Therefore ask first for a cleansed will, then for an open mouth to proclaim the mystery of the gospel.

For your family, leaders, churches, ministry partners, and all believers, do not let the names pass quickly. With perseverance and supplication in the Spirit, bring them before God. And remember Paul was in chains when he asked for boldness. He did not ask only to be released, but to speak as he ought. Pray in that same way, and the things that seem against you will become weapons in God’s hand.
