🤺Armor of God Eph 6:10-20, Ourselves, Our Family, Leaders, Churches, Ministry Partners, All Believers; Utterance to Proclaim Mystery of Gospel Boldly

Father, thank You for The Word and Holy Spirit that instruct us, 2 Tim 3:16-17, John 14:26, so we may not be unaware of the enemy's methods, 2 Cor 2:11. We do submit to You as the church Jesus said the gates of hell cannot stand against, Matt 16:18, and resist the devil, James 4:7, resist him firmly in the faith, 1 Pet 5:8, (Faith in Jesus AND the Authority of His Name, John 14:13-14, Mk 16:15-17, His Word, Matt 24:35, Lk 21:33, and His Position, Matt 28:18, Phil 2:9), so he will flee from us, James 4:7.

We do take the same advice as the other two Apostles, resist AND take up Your Armor and stand against, stand, stand firm against the schemes of darkness, by faith and patience we inherit the promises, Heb 6:12. We pray it over ourselves first, in submission to Your Word, even as it was the proper example and pattern of Christ, overcoming the devil first on for His own sake in the wilderness, Mt 4:1-11, Mk 1:12-13, Lk 4:1-13, then overcoming the world, flesh and devil for the world, John 16:33.

Knowing it's proper in airplane trips to be admonished to first place the oxygen mask over our own faces prior to assisting others, we pray the following Armor, Your Armor, The Armor of God, on ourselves, Eph 6:10-17, then for others, Eph 6:18-20, applied by faith, as we receive everything else in the same manner, from salvation, Eph 2:8-9, to answered prayer, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, James 1:6...

“Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of The Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for the church, that utterance may be given to Your people, that they may open their mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which some are ambassadors in chains; that all may speak boldly, as is fitting to speak," Eph‬ ‭6:11-20‬, in Jesus' Name.

We stand together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, recognizing that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of darkness in the heavenly places. Thank you for reminding us of the authority we have in Christ and the necessity of putting on the whole armor of God. We affirm that it is only through His name that we have access to the Father, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We first submit ourselves to You, Lord, as we put on the belt of truth, knowing that Your Word is truth (John 17:17). We gird our waists with it, rejecting every lie of the enemy and standing firm in the truth of who You are and who we are in Christ. We put on the breastplate of righteousness, not our own, but the righteousness of Christ imputed to us by faith (2 Corinthians 5:21). We guard our hearts, for out of them flow the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23), and we walk in the righteousness that comes from faith in Jesus.

We shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, ready to share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ with boldness and love. We take up the shield of faith, with which we quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Our faith is in You, Lord, and in Your promises, which are yes and amen in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 1:20). We put on the helmet of salvation, protecting our minds with the assurance of our salvation in Christ, knowing that nothing can separate us from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).

We take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and wield it with precision and power. Your Word is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), and it is our offensive weapon against the enemy. We pray always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

We begin by praying this armor over ourselves, that we may stand firm in Your truth, walk in Your righteousness, and be ready to proclaim the gospel of peace. Strengthen us, Lord, to resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from us as we submit to You and resist him (James 4:7). We stand firm in our faith, knowing that You who are in us are greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Now, Lord, we pray this armor over our families. Clothe them with Your truth, righteousness, and peace. May they walk in the gospel, holding up the shield of faith and wearing the helmet of salvation. Equip them with Your Word, that they may stand against the schemes of the devil. Protect their minds, hearts, and spirits, and draw them closer to You each day.

We pray for our leaders, pastors, elders, deacons, and all who serve in ministry. May they be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Clothe them with Your armor, that they may lead Your people with wisdom, integrity, and boldness. Grant them utterance to proclaim the mystery of the gospel with clarity and courage, even in the face of opposition.

We lift up our churches, Lord, that they may be beacons of light in a dark world. Strengthen the body of Christ to stand firm against the wiles of the devil. May Your people be united in truth, walking in love, and proclaiming the gospel with boldness. Let the gates of hell not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18).

We pray for our ministry partners, that they may be equipped with the full armor of God. May they stand firm in the faith, resisting the enemy and advancing Your kingdom. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and courage as they serve You in various capacities.

Finally, Lord, we pray for all believers around the world. Clothe them with Your armor, that they may stand firm in the evil day. May they be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, proclaiming the gospel with boldness and living lives that honor You. Let Your Word go forth and accomplish the purpose for which You sent it (Isaiah 55:11).

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your kingdom come in power and glory. Amen.

Something that often encourages us is the reminder that prayer doesn’t just reach God; it also touches the people we pray for. We’ve seen repeatedly that when someone knows they are being lifted up by name, something shifts inside them. It’s not magic, it’s the Holy Spirit ministering reassurance, courage, and a sense they aren’t alone in the battle. So as you go on praying this armor over others, you might consider letting one or two of them know specifically: “I’m putting on the whole armor for you today, and asking God to open your mouth boldly for the Gospel.” A short message or word spoken in passing can strengthen their own faith, reminding them they are surrounded by a heavenly provision and by a brother or sister who cares. That small act of connection often becomes a tangible expression of the very reality you’re describing in Ephesians 6.

We join you in that same prayerful confidence, asking the Lord to do what only He can, to clothe us afresh so we can stand, and to grant boldness to every believer who opens their mouth for Him.

Lord, we ask You to secure us in Your truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and Your Word. Cover our families and every minister and church we love. And when we speak of the mystery of the Gospel, give us the right words and a holy fearlessness, not because we are strong, but because we are Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This prayer which you have spread before the Lord is according to the apostolic charge, and it is well that you do not only lift up the shield but also draw the sword of supplication for all saints. Yet, let none mistake the form for the power. To lay hold upon God by such prayers is more than the mere reciting of these words, it is the heart’s cry for the living God to wrap the soul in His own might. By the declarations of the Gospel I entreat you, take hold of Him, for nothing short of union with Christ will avail you in the evil day when the enemy comes in like a flood.

Take care that you be not lulled into a false peace, for Satan is that cunning ape of God, and can mimic even the armour of light itself. He would gladly see you put it on in word while your heart remains at ease in Zion. I dread to give peace to any soul at the expense of the truth of God. Pray always that the Spirit would show you the worst of your case, that you may not be deceived by a carnal security which calls itself faith. The true peace comes only at the feet of the Prince of Peace, when we are justified by faith and no longer at enmity in our minds.

Your desire for utterance to proclaim the mystery of the Gospel is a noble one, for this Gospel is the proclamation of the King of kings. It is not a tame invitation to be trifled with, but a royal decree which demands an obedient hearing. Yet remember, the power lies not in the boldness of the flesh but in the unction of the Holy Ghost. Before you rush forth with the message, be sure that your own feet are shod not with the mere words of a form, but with the preparation that comes from having tasted and handled that blessed truth. If the Gospel be hid to any, it is hid to them that are lost; but if it has shone into your hearts, then speak, for you cannot but speak the things which you have seen and heard.

After such seasons of holy prayer, expect the devil to roar. Let not the after-swell of temptation cause you to think your supplications were in vain. Stand fast, therefore, and having done all, stand. He that has begun this good work in you will complete it unto the day of Christ, and the peace which passes all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Continue to ask in that name which holds all authority, and the gates of hell shall not prevail.
