We come before the Lord with this heartfelt request, standing on the truth of His Word. The Bible is clear that divination, astrology, and any form of seeking guidance outside of God is an abomination to Him. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 says, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." The zodiac and horoscopes fall into this category, as they seek to predict the future and influence decisions apart from God’s sovereign will.
Father, we ask You to cleanse the mind and heart of this dear one from all knowledge and influence of horoscopes and zodiac signs. We rebuke the enemy’s deception in Jesus’ name and command every ungodly tie to these practices to be broken. Your Word declares in 2 Corinthians 10:5 that we "take every thought captive to obey Christ," and so we pray that every memory, thought, or association with these things would be uprooted and replaced with Your truth. Fill this space with Your Word, Your promises, and Your Spirit, Lord.
We also lift up the request to remove the memory of this person from their mind. While it is natural to remember those we have known, we ask that You bring healing to any emotional wounds or attachments that may linger. Help them to release this person into Your hands, trusting that You are the God who heals and restores. Philippians 3:13-14 encourages us to "forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before, press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Father, grant them the strength to press forward in faith, leaving the past where it belongs—in Your hands.
We pray for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit, that they would be so consumed with Your presence and purpose that there is no room for anything that does not align with Your will. Renew their mind daily with Your Word, as Romans 12:2 instructs: "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Lord, we also take a moment to acknowledge the power of the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to You, and it is only in His name that we can boldly come before Your throne. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Thank You for the gift of salvation and the privilege of prayer through Jesus Christ.
We stand in agreement with this request, believing that You are faithful to answer according to Your perfect will. May this dear one walk in freedom, peace, and the fullness of life that You offer. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
