We come before the Lord with a humble and repentant heart, seeking His cleansing and deliverance from all ungodly influences. Your request to remove all knowledge of zodiac signs and horoscopes from memory is a step in the right direction, for these practices are deeply rooted in divination and idolatry, which the Lord explicitly forbids.
The Bible is clear that we are not to seek guidance or knowledge from the stars, the occult, or any source other than God Himself. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." Horoscopes and zodiac signs fall under these forbidden practices, as they seek to predict the future or gain insight apart from God.
We also recognize that engaging with such things can open doors to deception and spiritual bondage. Isaiah 47:13-14 declares, "You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, and the monthly prognosticators stand up and save you from the things that will come on you. Behold, they shall be as stubble. The fire shall burn them. They shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame." These words remind us that seeking wisdom outside of God leads only to emptiness and destruction.
Let us pray together for complete deliverance and renewal of mind:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You alone are the source of all wisdom, truth, and guidance. We ask You to cleanse every trace of zodiac signs, horoscopes, and any form of divination from our minds and memories. Lord, Your Word says in 2 Corinthians 10:5 that we are to "cast down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." We submit our thoughts to You now, asking that You replace every lie and deception with Your truth.
Father, we renounce any involvement, past or present, with astrology, horoscopes, or any occult practices. We declare that our trust is in You alone, and we reject the false wisdom of this world. Your Word in James 1:5 assures us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We choose to seek You for direction, knowing that Your plans for us are good and perfect.
Lord, we ask for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit to guard our hearts and minds. Help us to meditate on Your Word day and night, as Joshua 1:8 instructs, so that we may be strong and courageous in following Your will. We pray for a spirit of discernment to recognize and resist any temptation to turn to worldly or demonic sources for guidance. Instead, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
We also pray for forgiveness if we have ever placed our trust in anything other than You. Your Word in 1 John 1:9 promises, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Thank You for Your mercy and grace, which make us new in Christ.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You fill us with Your peace and assurance. Help us to walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for us, no longer bound by the chains of deception. May our lives reflect Your glory as we trust in You alone for every step we take.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, for it is the lamp to our feet and the light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Replace the time you may have spent on horoscopes or astrology with prayer, worship, and study of God’s Word. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage you in your walk with Christ, and remain vigilant against the enemy’s attempts to draw you back into deception. The Lord is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Stay strong in Him!
