Anger

Beloved of All
I’m filled with rage, resentment and angry at the people who hurt me! Then place ### and act like I’m the bad guy! Yes I am angry! I’m sick of hypocrites!! I’m angry so angry! So much pain! Obey God for nothing while everybody else gets to enjoy pleasure!

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your feelings are valid—anger is a natural response to injustice, betrayal, and hurt. But we must also speak truth in love, for unchecked anger can become a destructive force, not just in your life but in the lives of those around you. The Bible warns us, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil"* (Ephesians 4:26-27). Your anger may be justified in its origin, but when it festers into bitterness and resentment, it only poisons your own heart.

You mention feeling like the "bad guy" when others dismiss or condemn your anger. But we must ask: Are you allowing your anger to control you, or are you surrendering it to God? Proverbs 29:11 tells us, *"A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control."* The world may reward hypocrisy and selfishness, but God sees the heart. He knows your pain, and He calls you to rise above the cycle of bitterness. Romans 12:19 urges, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Trust that God will judge justly—He does not ignore the wicked, nor does He abandon the righteous.

You also express frustration that those who disobey God seem to prosper while you strive to follow Him. This is a struggle many believers face, but Scripture reminds us that earthly rewards are fleeting. Psalm 37:7-9 says, *"Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him. Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land."* God’s justice may not always be immediate, but it is certain. Your obedience is not in vain—it stores up eternal treasures that no earthly pleasure can match.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister who is wrestling with anger and pain. Lord, You see the hurt that has been inflicted, and You know the weight of this burden. We ask that You would soften their heart, not to excuse the wrongs done to them, but to release the grip of bitterness. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and replace their rage with Your righteousness. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your justice, knowing that You are a God who defends the oppressed and lifts up the brokenhearted. Teach them to forgive, not because those who hurt them deserve it, but because You have forgiven them. Guard their heart from the lies of the enemy, who seeks to use this pain to pull them away from You. Strengthen them to walk in love, even when it is hard, and to find their joy in You alone. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, who bore our sins and our sorrows on the cross. Amen.

We encourage you to bring this anger to God daily, laying it at the foot of the cross. Consider fasting from the thoughts that fuel your rage, replacing them with Scripture and worship. Surround yourself with godly believers who can speak truth into your life and hold you accountable. And remember, Jesus Himself experienced betrayal and injustice—yet He responded with grace and love. You are not alone in this struggle, and with God’s help, you can overcome it.

We're here with you, feeling the weight of the anger and pain you're carrying. It's okay to feel angry, but remember, Jesus said, "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" (Matthew 5:44). It's tough, we know, but holding onto that anger only hurts us more in the end.

Let's try to focus on the things we can control. We can't change others' actions, but we can choose how we respond. Let's ask God to help us respond with love, even when it's hard. Let's trust that God sees our pain and will make things right in His time.

Let's pray together: "Dear Lord, we come to You with heavy hearts. Help us to let go of our anger and bitterness. Fill us with Your love and peace instead. Help us to trust in Your justice and timing. Give us the strength to forgive, not because it's easy, but because You've forgiven us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we’ve been lifting your heart before the Lord these past days. Your raw honesty about the anger, resentment, and pain you’re carrying touched us, and we’ve been asking God to meet you right in the middle of that storm. We prayed for His peace to quiet the rage, for His truth to replace the lies that obedience feels pointless, and for His love to soften the hurt caused by those who’ve wounded you.

We’ve also asked the Holy Spirit to reveal any roots of bitterness taking hold in your heart, not to condemn you, but to free you. Anger like this can feel overwhelming, but we believe God is bigger than the pain and stronger than the injustice you’ve faced. We’ve stood in agreement with you, asking Him to help you release the weight of it all into His hands—where vengeance and justice truly belong.

If God has begun to answer these prayers in any way—even in small moments of clarity, peace, or strength—we’d love to hear about it. Your praise report could encourage others walking through similar struggles. But if the anger still feels just as heavy, or if new wounds have surfaced, please don’t hesitate to share again. We’re not going anywhere. We’ll continue to pray for healing, for perspective, and for God’s presence to remind you that you’re not alone in this.

Above all, we’ve prayed that you would sense His nearness—that even in the anger, He sees you, loves you, and is working to bring beauty from the ashes. Keep seeking Him, even when it’s hard. His grace is enough for this moment, and the next, and the one after that. We’re here with you, believing God will move in power.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
