Amen

We hear your cry for deliverance and stand with you in spiritual warfare, knowing that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the grip of the devil in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Your request does not mention the name of Jesus, yet it is only through Him that we have victory and access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is through Jesus that we are set free from the bondage of sin and the power of the enemy.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is crying out for deliverance from the grip of the enemy. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke the devil and command him to loose his grip and permanently depart in Jesus' name. We break every chain, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against their life, mind, body, and spirit.

Father, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them on the cross. We pray for a fresh infilling of Your presence, peace, and power. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your light shine in every dark place. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37).

Help them to stand firm in their faith, putting on the full armor of God so that they may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Strengthen them to resist the enemy, and remind them that when they submit to You and resist the devil, he will flee from them (James 4:7). We pray that they will draw near to You, and You will draw near to them (James 4:8).

Lord, we ask that You heal any wounds, restore any broken areas, and renew their mind with Your truth. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). May they find their strength and refuge in You alone, for You are their fortress and deliverer (Psalm 18:2).

We thank You, Father, for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that the enemy has no hold on our brother/sister, for they belong to You. We praise You for Your faithfulness and for the freedom that is found in Your Son. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in God's Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on scriptures that speak of God's power, love, and deliverance. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Remember, the enemy is already defeated, and through Jesus, you have the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Stand firm, and let nothing move you (1 Corinthians 15:58). The Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear? The Lord is the stronghold of your life, of whom shall you be afraid? (Psalm 27:1).

We hear your cry, and we're standing with you in that prayer. The longing for evil to loosen its grip and be permanently gone resonates deeply, you are not alone in this battle, and God is not distant from your pain.

The truth that grounds us is this: at the cross, Christ disarmed every dark authority, triumphing over them. His victory is already complete, and that reality is the bedrock beneath our feet. When we feel evil pressing in, it can seem overwhelming, but the grip is a lie, it has no lasting hold on a life hidden in Christ. We don't minimize the struggle; oppression can feel very real, but we face it from a position of safety, not fear. Jesus has given those who follow Him authority over evil, and He invites you to speak His name boldly, commanding whatever oppresses you to leave.

A practical step that many have found helpful is to daily and deliberately reaffirm your place in Christ. Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart for any known sin that might give a foothold, confess it quickly, and then fill that space with truth, reading Scripture, singing praise, even simple declarations like “Jesus is Lord over my mind and body.” Let a trusted Christian friend or pastor know what you're facing so they can pray with you and stand in agreement. Sometimes the night feels long, but you are never fighting it alone.

Father, thank You that Jesus has crushed the serpent’s head and that no evil can snatch us from Your hand. We ask that the person crying out to You would feel the oppressive weight lift and experience the tangible peace of Your presence. By Your Spirit, strengthen their heart with the certainty that Christ lives in them, and that in Him they are safe and free. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The cry is indeed right, let the evil one loosen his grip and be gone. Yet take care that you do not think to overcome this evil by returning evil for evil. Such a course increases the evil; when we oppose evil with evil, the evil which comes from us does us far more injury than any evil which we experience from others. The method does not bear inspection.

Remember rather what our Lord testified: out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, the very essence of sin. An evil nature sits by the fireside and murders men in thought. You must look away from the foul den within to the cleansing flood without. “The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

And this is no small thing, for the devil is a fool to meddle with one who is filled with the Spirit. He hears when God declares His well-beloved Son, yet still thrusts his hand into the fire to burn it. So when you cry out, do not let Evil Questioning draw his conclusions from your wishes, as is his custom. He boasts falsely that his name is Honest Enquiry, but he is a traitor who brings ruin upon souls.

Cast your burden upon the Lord. The deliverance wrought out by the Lord Jesus Christ brings liberty that is not liberty to commit evil without restraint, but to walk in holiness without hindrance. Slaves of the evil one, we pity you, your chains we would not wear. The peace of the devil is often the awful prelude of the last tremendous storm. Look rather to the blood that speaks better things, for it is able to save unto the uttermost. In the wilderness, feet to feet, the champion of good has already destroyed the works of the devil, and His victory can be yours this very hour.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Amen. This is a right prayer, and God alone can answer it. But understand the bondage the devil most wants to keep you in: the slavery of sin. Many people feel shame at outward bondage but feel no shame for the bondage of sin, which is the most grievous slavery. From this slavery God alone can deliver, because to forgive sins belongs to no one else.

The devil also tries to persuade you that evil is part of your nature or that you are held by some necessity. That is his poison. It quietly destroys the freedom God gave you and makes you accept sin as if it could not be helped. Reject that lie. Freedom and bondage depend on your actions, not on fate. The Son of God is master of the house, and he came to deliver you from the curse and to bring you into sonship. Through him you received the Spirit of adoption.

So pray with confidence, but do not stop with words. If you want the devil permanently gone, you must permanently refuse him. Use not your freedom for an opportunity to the flesh. Christ removed the yoke of bondage not so you could wander into lawlessness, but so your life could rise above the Law in holiness. Confess your sins. Put away every hidden work of darkness. Return to the table where Christ gives his body and blood for your deliverance, for the truth sets free the world.

Do not fear the devil’s claim when you belong to Christ. But if you give him any opening through unrepented sin, close it now. God is faithful. He kept his promise to Israel after four hundred years, and he will bring you out. The grip of evil ends where your will turns to Christ and refuses to return to sin.

Your prayer rises to a God who is able to break every grip of evil upon your life. Permanent release is his work, but Scripture shows us how he works. It begins with honest confession. You cannot hide guilt from yourself; it sits before you. The road back starts when you stop hiding and say, "I acknowledge my transgressions." If you confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Bring the whole weight of it to him.

Then resist the devil and he will flee. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Do not give evil a foothold. Ask the Lord to keep you from what stirs up the fleshly nature and turns your heart away from him. Jesus said what defiles a person comes from within, out of the heart. So pray not only that the grip would loosen, but that God would create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you.

Do not make peace with evil. God hates it, and wisdom begins with hating what he hates. Avoid the path of the wicked. Put away perverse speech and let your eyes look straight ahead. When temptation calls, flee from it. Ask God to put a shield around your heart and mind, because the atmosphere around us is polluted and evil always seeks to be tolerated.

Remember the authority of Jesus over every unclean spirit. He commanded the evil to leave, and it left. He is the true bread from heaven who gives life to the world. Abide in him. The Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil, and he is able to keep you from falling.

So pray with confidence and walk in obedience. Confess, renounce, resist, and draw near. The God who shielded his servant from a raging king is able to be your refuge. He will not cast you away when you come to him through Jesus Christ. Let your deliverance be permanent by making no provision for the flesh, filling your life with his word, and trusting his blood to cleanse you day by day. Amen.
