Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The hunger gnawing at you and the weight of debt do not mean God has cast you off. Look to the apostle Paul: he was often in hunger and thirst, yet he was not banished from God's love. The disciples themselves learned to endure an empty stomach without withdrawing from their calling. This is the very life Christians are called to, not for a day or two, but as a daily wrestling match.

Do you think God has forgotten you because you have no food? He who feeds the ravens sees your need. Your prayers have been answered swiftly before, so you know his ear is not deaf. Do not let this present trial choke your faith.

Hunger is no crime, no disgrace, it is surfeiting that destroys both body and soul. The poor man Lazarus perished from want, yet angels carried him to Abraham's bosom. Will you, then, call yourself rejected? You are not.

Hold fast with full assurance. The Son of Man had nowhere to lay his head, and Paul went naked and buffeted; shall we demand comfort while they inherited glory through affliction? Do not say, “God has banished me.” That is the whisper of despair, not the voice of faith. Cast your care upon him.

Endure this hunger as the saints did, and know that your soul is more precious than bread. God is not a debtor; he will supply what is needful in his time. Only do not let your heart waver. You are still counted among his children when you cling to him in the storm.

Your feelings of despair do not have the power to rewrite what God has declared over your life. When your circumstances scream that you are cast away, you must remember that the starting place of all true wisdom is a proper, reverential awe of the Lord. This is not the terror of a slave cowering before a cruel master, but the profound recognition of His greatness, power, and faithfulness. What you are experiencing now is the fear of man, the fear of your debts, of an empty table, of a future that looks hopeless. That fear is a snare. The God who pleads your cause is asking, "Who are you that you should be afraid of a man that shall die?" Your situation is a finite thing, a temporary shadow, but your God is eternal.

The very question, "Am I still one of God’s children?" reveals the battle. The enemy wants you to measure your standing by your present relief. But you were never made a child of God by the swiftness of answered prayer. You were made His child through the tender mercy of our God, when the Dayspring from on high visited us. Jesus is salvation. That is His name and His nature. He did not come to merely improve your temporary conditions; He came to deliver you from the ultimate bondage, the fear of death and judgment. Since He has already removed that eternal sting, do not let the fear of a temporary affliction tell you that He has abandoned you now.

Think of the shepherd in the Song of Songs, whose love remains true regardless of the enticements of a king’s palace. That is a picture of God’s faithful love for you. His love is not a transaction that stops when the provision seems to pause. The valleys of the shadow are part of the path, but that path leads somewhere. You said, "I do see my situation changing," and that is proof of His hand. A delay is not a denial. A season of silence is not a sentence of banishment. When it feels like all hope is lost, the Lord is still your light and your salvation. Whom shall you fear? If the Lord is the strength of your life, of whom shall you be afraid? In this time of trouble, He has not failed to hide you in His pavilion; you are simply in a part of the pavilion where the walls seem dark for a moment.

So let us deal with the prayer for provision directly. You cry out with a desperate "please," and the Father hears that. The angel’s first words were so often "Fear not," because God knows our frame. Your prayer is heard. He has not forgotten your need for food or the weight of your debt. So do not let the prince of darkness, who is a liar from the beginning, use this moment of pressure to make you question your sonship. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, including the evil of believing a lie about God’s character. The sum of all knowledge is knowing that He is good and that He is for you.

Let us pray now. Father, we come before You with nothing but the name of Jesus, who has already made peace through the blood of His cross. We speak against the spirit of fear that is tormenting Your child and we declare that the perfect love of Christ casts out that fear. You are the God who sees, the God who provides, and the God who has not cast away the one who runs to You. Open a door of provision where there seems to be no door. Give peace in the waiting, and let this beloved child feel the unshakable reality of being held in Your hand, not because of a swift answer, but because of Your unfailing love. We thank You that You are the captain of our salvation, and You will lead us through every battle. In Jesus’ mighty name.

We want you to know how deeply we’ve been carrying your heart before the Lord these past days. Your honesty about feeling forgotten and wondering if you’re still counted among His children has not been taken lightly. We’ve prayed specifically that you would sense His nearness even in the silence, that the Holy Spirit would whisper to your soul, "You are mine," and that the promises of Scripture would rise above the weight of your circumstances.

We’ve asked God to provide for your needs—not just the physical hunger and the pressing debts, but the deeper hunger to know you’re seen and loved. We’ve stood in agreement with you, declaring that His grace is sufficient, that His mercies are new every morning, and that He has not cast you away. We’ve also prayed for wisdom, that He would open doors of provision and opportunity in ways only He can orchestrate.

If the Lord has moved in your situation since you posted, we would be overjoyed to hear how He has answered. Your praise report could be a powerful encouragement to others walking through similar struggles. But if the burden still feels heavy and the answers seem distant, we want you to know we’re still here. Post your request again, and we will continue to lift you up, trusting that God is working even when we can’t see it.

Above all, we pray that you would encounter His faithfulness in fresh ways—that you’d feel His arms around you, hear His voice over the noise of fear, and rest in the truth that nothing can separate you from His love. Keep seeking Him, dear one. He has not forgotten you.

In Jesus’ Name we pray.

I feel like I am stuck in darkness, unable to escape. I have tried to end it all, but God kept me here. I am searching for a reason, a purpose. 'Why, Lord, why?' I cry, I begged, I voluntarily sin but God still kept me. Why am I still here? I just want to escape.
