Disciple of Prayer
Remove him from earthly desires and temptstions of alcohol and drugs (weed) remove the need for attention and pride and allegedly selling of drugs control his temper and bring calm and peace remove toxic relationships and people from his life surround him with Godly spiritual people give him patience and peace in his heart mind and mouth let him seek and work hard for a great future bless him with discernment and maturity

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is entangled in the snares of this world. Father God, we know that Your heart breaks when Your children are led astray by earthly desires and the deceptions of the enemy. We stand in the gap for this young one, declaring Your promises over his life and rebuking the forces of darkness that seek to destroy him.

Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of addiction to alcohol and drugs, including the use of weed, which clouds the mind and dulls the spirit. Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We pray that You would remove the desire for these substances and replace it with a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in purity and self-control, as it is written in Galatians 5:22-23, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

We rebuke the spirit of pride and the need for attention, which often leads to sinful behaviors. Proverbs 16:18 warns us, "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Father, humble his heart before You, that he may seek Your approval above all else. Remove the toxic relationships and people from his life who lead him away from You. Surround him with Godly, spiritual people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his soul. As it says in 1 Corinthians 15:33, "Don’t be deceived! Evil companionships corrupt good morals." Let him be drawn to those who will point him to Christ and help him grow in his faith.

Lord, we ask that You would calm his temper and bring peace to his heart, mind, and mouth. James 1:19-20 reminds us, "So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God." Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give him patience in all things, that he may respond with wisdom and grace.

We pray that You would ignite a fire within him to seek You with his whole heart and to work diligently toward a future that honors You. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Bless him with discernment and maturity, that he may make wise choices and walk in the path You have set before him. Let him not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of his mind, so that he may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

Father, we know that none of this is possible without the power of Jesus Christ. We declare that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You and that salvation is found. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We pray that this young man would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, if he has not already. Let him experience the transforming power of the Gospel, that he may be born again and walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). May he confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that he may be saved (Romans 10:9).

We bind every spirit of addiction, pride, anger, and deception in the mighty name of Jesus. We loose the fruits of the Spirit into his life, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Let him rise up as a warrior for Your kingdom, using his gifts and talents to glorify You.

Heavenly Father, we trust in Your unfailing love and mercy. We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We commit this young man into Your hands, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). Strengthen him, guide him, and let Your light shine brightly in his life.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

I decree and declare the devil must flee this man and his family right now in Jesus Name!! No weapon formed against him will prevail! Amen

We hear the exhaustion and the love in your words. Watching someone you love spiral, especially a child, is one of the most painful and draining experiences a parent can endure. It can feel like you're standing on the shore, calling out while they drift further into a storm, wanting desperately to pull them back but unable to reach them.

What stands out to us is how much you long for him to be surrounded by godly, healthy influence. That is not a small prayer; it's a deeply wise one. Recovery is rarely a solo journey, and the pull of old patterns and relationships is real. One thing we see time and again is how a supportive community becomes a lifeline. If he's not ready to turn to the church directly, a Christ-centered recovery program like Celebrate Recovery can be a place where people who truly understand meet him where he is, without pretending the struggle away. Many churches offer it, and it connects people with mentors who have walked a similar road. For you, a group like Al-Anon or a church-based family support group could be a place to find steady encouragement and wisdom from others who get it, because you need support right now, too.

Of course, he may not be open to any of that yet, and the waiting is its own kind of grief. In that space, we hold onto this: his story is not finished, and you are not alone in loving him. God sees him, not just the behavior, but the whole person, and He is not intimidated by any of this.

Let's pray:

Lord Jesus, we lift this son to You. You know every hidden thing, every wound he's trying to numb, and every chain that holds him. We ask You to disrupt anything in his life that feeds destruction, remove access where it's dangerous, scatter connections that pull him down, and plant in his path people who will speak truth in love. Guard his life from the worst consequences of his choices, and give his family steady strength and clear wisdom. Most of all, stir a true hunger for peace, the kind only You give. In Your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

True peace for that troubled soul can only be found at the feet of the Prince of Peace. The world’s medicines, alcohol, the weed, the feverish chase for attention, these whisper a false calm, but it is the peace of the devil, which makes conscience lie still while sin holds sway. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked. What peace can there be to one whose rebellions are so many? It is not by removing this temptation or that toxic companion that the heart finds rest, but by bringing it to the Cross. Christ Himself is our peace, not prayers, not tears, not even the breaking of habits, but He Himself. He that has Christ has great peace, and nothing shall offend him. Without Christ there is no solid peace, only a hollow truce that the hail shall sweep away.

But there is a peace which passeth all understanding, a peace which God the Father gives, which Jesus Christ bought with His blood, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul. It is the peace of a renewed nature, of reconciliation to God. You have prayed for his transformation, this is the root of the matter. When the root is found in Christ, the foliage of the life will be made new. Peace with God is the fountain; then peace in the conscience flows forth. Seek not the streams in vain, but lead that dear one to the Fountain opened for sin. There is no peace to be had in the vanities of the world or in the pride of life; they are refuges of lies. Only by the blood of Jesus can the storm within be stilled.

And what a peace it is! It is Christ’s own peace, the unruffled calm, the profound rest of the eternal Son of God, which He gives to those who trust Him. It is a peace that can be enjoyed even while sorrows surge around, a peace that fills the mind, the heart, the mouth. In Jesus’ keeping, we are safe, and so may that wandering one be safe. Tell your fears to God, for He is able to keep him from falling. Let this be the constant cry: “Let us not fall! Let us not fall!” But remember, peace is not gained by seeking peace first. Seek Christ first, and peace will come. Preaching peace comes by Jesus Christ alone; reject His name and there is no other way. Oh, that by faith he would grasp that substance of things hoped for, that the root of the matter be found in him! Then may he go in peace through all the storms of life, guarded by God’s own power.
