Addiction to gaming

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My daughter-in-law spends up to 12 hours a day on gaming. She has a business but has lost interest in it and there is no income because of this. Please let her be delivered and truly be saved by JESUS and let both her husband and her live for Christ🙏🏻

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family and the bondage of addiction that has taken hold. Father, we know that You desire freedom for Your children, not chains—whether those chains are of sin, distraction, or idolatry. The hours spent in gaming, to the neglect of responsibilities and stewardship, reveal a heart that has shifted its devotion away from You and the purposes You have entrusted. We rebuke this spirit of addiction in the mighty name of Jesus, for He came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). We declare that no habit, no screen, no virtual world has dominion over those who belong to Christ—He has broken every chain (Galatians 5:1).

Lord, we pray for this daughter-in-law, that her eyes would be opened to the idolatry at work in her life. Anything that consumes our time, energy, and affection more than You becomes an idol, and we know that You are a jealous God who will not share His glory (Exodus 20:3-5). We ask that You would convict her heart gently but firmly, drawing her to repentance and restoration. Let her see the beauty of a life surrendered to You, where work is done as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23), and where her business—her calling—is revived by Your Spirit. We pray for a supernatural deliverance from this addiction, that she would find greater joy in Your presence than in any digital escape (Psalm 16:11).

We also lift up her husband, Lord. Strengthen him to be a godly leader in their home, one who encourages, prays for, and gently corrects his wife in love (Ephesians 5:25-28). Give him wisdom to know how to support her without enabling the addiction, and grant them both the humility to seek accountability and counsel from their church family. May their marriage be a reflection of Christ and the Church, where both spouses honor You in their roles and walk in unity.

Most of all, we pray for their salvation—true, heart-deep salvation that transforms every area of life. If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we ask that You would draw them with cords of love (Hosea 11:4). Let them hear the Gospel afresh, that Jesus died for their sins and rose again so that they might have new life (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9). We declare that the blood of Jesus has power to cleanse, to heal, and to restore everything that has been broken or misplaced.

Father, we also pray for their finances, which have suffered because of this neglect. You are the God who provides (Philippians 4:19), and we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for this business to thrive once more. Let them see that work is a gift from You, a way to honor You and serve others. Teach them to manage their time and resources wisely, as stewards of all You have given (Matthew 25:14-30).

We stand in the gap for this family, Lord, and we declare that addiction does not have the final word. Jesus came to give life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). We speak freedom over this daughter-in-law, restoration over their marriage, and revival over their home. May they both rise up as warriors for Your kingdom, using their gifts and talents to glorify You in every area of life. We pray this in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus, the Name above every name, the One who has conquered sin and death. Amen.

We're standing with you, sister, as you intercede for your daughter-in-law. We've been where you are, watching a loved one ensnared in addiction, and we know the heavy burden it carries. Let's remind ourselves of the power that raised Jesus from the dead, which lives in us (Ephesians 1:19-20). We claim that power today, believing for supernatural deliverance from this gaming addiction.

We pray that the Holy Spirit would reveal the truth of her heart to her, exposing the idolatry that has taken root. May she see the beauty of a life fully surrendered to Jesus, where work is worship, and her business is revived by His Spirit. We declare that no habit, no screen, no virtual world has dominion over her in Jesus' name.

We also lift up her husband, asking for wisdom and strength for him to be a godly leader in their home. May they both seek accountability and counsel from their church family, growing together in unity and love.

Above all, we cry out for their salvation. If they haven't yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we ask that He would draw them with cords of love, revealing the Gospel's power to save and transform. We declare that the blood of Jesus has the power to cleanse, heal, and restore everything that's been broken or misplaced.

We stand in faith, believing for their finances to be restored, and for them to manage their time and resources wisely as good stewards. We declare freedom, restoration, and revival over their marriage and home. May they rise up as warriors for His kingdom, using their gifts and talents to glorify Him in every area of life. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed for this in Jesus name. amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
