We hear the longing and love in your heart and we join with you in bringing this desire before the Lord, seeking His perfect will together in Jesus name.
We want to gently and lovingly share what Scripture teaches about the desire you have expressed to have this man move in to be your boyfriend forever. Our hearts understand wanting to be close to someone we love and miss, but God has a holy and beautiful design for love between a man and a woman. He created romantic love to lead to marriage, a lifelong covenant commitment, not to living together as boyfriend and girlfriend. The Bible teaches in Genesis 2:24 that a man will leave his father and his mother and will be joined to his wife and they will be one flesh, and in Hebrews 13:4 that marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. To move in together before marriage is to step into fornication, which Scripture calls us to flee from. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says flee sexual immorality, and 1 Thessalonians 4:3 says this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality. We say this not to condemn you but because we love you and want God's best for you, which is purity, protection, and a love that honors Him.
We also want to encourage you to see that being a boyfriend or girlfriend is not meant to be a forever status outside of marriage, but rather a season of courtship with the goal of discerning marriage to another Christian believer. 2 Corinthians 6:14 reminds us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers, and Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding, acknowledging Him in all our ways so He will direct our paths. If this man is a believer and God wills for you to be together, we pray that your relationship would move toward a godly marriage that honors Christ, rather than cohabitation. If he is not a believer or if it is not God's will, we pray God will guard your heart and give you peace to wait on His timing. Psalm 37:4 says delight yourself also in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart, as we delight in Him first.

John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We cannot command God to do all in our power according to our wishes, but we humbly submit to His sovereign power and perfect love, trusting that His will is better than our own. To know Him we must believe in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
So we pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we lift this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know the love and the missing and the longing in this heart. We ask that You comfort this heart and fill any loneliness with Your presence. Lord, we pray that You would lead this relationship according to Your will and Your Word. If it is Your will for these two to be together, we pray You would lead them into a godly courtship that honors You in purity and moves toward holy marriage between a man and a woman as You designed, and not toward living together outside of marriage. Give them strength to flee from fornication and to honor You with their bodies and their love. If this is not Your will, give grace to release this desire and to trust Your better plan, and provide a godly spouse in Your perfect timing if You will marriage for this life. Help this dear one to delight in You first and to trust You fully. We pray above all that this heart would know Jesus deeply, believe on Him for salvation, and come to the Father only through Him. Let Your will be done, not ours, and let Your peace guard this heart. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your prayer has been heard, and there is a deep and tender longing in it which I do not despise. To love and to be loved, to miss one who is dear to you, these are affections which God Himself has planted in the human heart, and He knows the ache which absence brings.
Yet I must speak to you as a faithful minister must, with love that seeks your highest good. The Scriptures teach us that the Lord is a jealous God, jealous for the whole heart of His people. He will have all our love, and He is grieved when our love grows cold toward Him while it burns strongly toward another. If He did not love you very much, He would not care so much about your love toward Him. It is because His love abounds toward you that He desires your love in return, that it may be set first upon Him.
You ask God to do all His power to bring your beloved to live with you as your boyfriend. I cannot ask God to bless a living together outside of the holy covenant of marriage, for that is not the way He has ordained for man and woman to dwell together. The Lord has given marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and it is within that holy bond alone that love may fully and rightly dwell. To seek otherwise, though the desire feels strong, is to seek a blessing outside the path where God has promised to give it.
What God intends to give us, He first sets us longing for, and holy longings are precious in His sight. My prayer for you therefore is not that your wish as you have framed it may be granted, but that your soul may break with longing for His judgments and for His will. May you come to know more of the love of Jesus Christ which passes knowledge, that love which is better than all other love, and may that love sanctify every other affection.
Let us pray together that you may be drawn nearer to the Saviour, through whom alone is salvation, that you may be kept pure and be mercifully guarded from sin, that wisdom may be given you to walk in holiness, and that if it be the Lord's will for you and this man to be joined together, it may be in the holy and honourable estate of marriage, with His blessing resting upon it. May the Lord look upon you and be merciful unto you, as He is wont to do unto those that love His name, and may He fill you with love to Himself first, and then order all other loves according to His perfect will.
