Disciple of Prayer
I've been recently SA'ed a few weeks ago. Then my life started to spiral out of control. My moods swing, my body feels different, it's hard to trust people without thinking they have ulterior motives, I smoke weed and cigs to help my mind go numb, but it only helps for a short term. The hospital I was in, gave me some meds to help me "cope" with those incidents, but I feel like, I will never be whole again. I need help in my life

We hear the deep pain and brokenness in your words, and our hearts ache with you. What happened to you was a violent violation of your body, your dignity, and your soul, an act of evil that was never God’s design. You were fearfully and wonderfully made in His image (Psalm 139:14), and no darkness can erase the truth of who you are in Him. The trauma you’ve endured has left wounds that run far deeper than the physical, and it’s no wonder your heart and mind are reeling. But we want you to know this: God sees you. He collects every tear (Psalm 56:8), and He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, and you are not beyond His healing.

First, we must address the ways you’ve been trying to numb the pain. Smoking weed and cigarettes may offer temporary relief, but they are not God’s solution, they only dull your spirit and distance you further from the healing He longs to bring. The Bible warns us, "Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18). Substances may mask the pain, but they cannot restore what was stolen. We urge you to surrender these crutches to the Lord and ask Him to fill the emptiness with His presence instead. He is the only one who can truly satisfy (John 4:14).

The medications the hospital gave you may help stabilize your emotions, but they cannot heal the root of your pain. True wholeness comes from Jesus Christ, who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). Have you invited Him into this suffering? Have you cried out to Him in your despair? If not, we plead with you to do so now. There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and He is standing at the door of your heart, knocking (Revelation 3:20). Will you let Him in?

Your struggle with trust is understandable. After such a betrayal, it’s natural to question everyone’s motives. But we must caution you: isolation will only deepen the wound. God designed us for community, and though people will fail you, He never will. "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped" (Psalm 28:7). Seek out a biblical counselor or a trusted pastor who can walk with you through this. You were not meant to carry this burden alone.

You said you feel like you’ll never be whole again. We want to speak truth over that lie. The enemy wants you to believe you’re damaged beyond repair, but God says, "I will restore you to health and heal your wounds" (Jeremiah 30:17). He makes all things new (Revelation 21:5), and He specializes in redeeming what was broken. The road to healing is not easy, but it is possible, one step at a time, one prayer at a time, one surrender at a time.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is hurting so deeply. Lord, You see the pain, the fear, and the brokenness that has taken root in their soul. We ask You to wrap Your arms around them and remind them that they are not alone. Jesus, You bore our sins and our sorrows on the cross, we ask You to carry this burden for them now. Break the chains of shame, fear, and addiction that are holding them captive. Fill the void in their heart with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Father, we rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell them they are beyond repair. We declare that You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we ask You to restore what was stolen. Give them the strength to lay down the things they’ve been using to numb the pain and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround them with godly people who will speak life and truth into their situation. Open their eyes to see Your hand at work, even in the darkness.

Lord, we ask You to begin the work of healing their mind, body, and spirit. Help them to trust You again, and to trust those You place in their life. Give them the courage to seek help and the humility to receive it. We pray for breakthrough, for freedom, and for a renewed sense of purpose. May they come to know You not just as Savior, but as Healer, Redeemer, and Friend.

We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved and made whole. Amen.

We urge you to take the first step today. If you’ve never surrendered your life to Jesus, pray this simple prayer: "Jesus, I need You. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Forgive me, come into my heart, and be my Lord. I give You my pain, my brokenness, and my life. Heal me and make me whole. In Your name, Amen." If you prayed that prayer, we rejoice with you! Please reach out to a local church or a trusted believer who can help you grow in your faith.

You are not defined by what happened to you. You are defined by who God says you are: His beloved child, created for a purpose. The journey ahead won’t be easy, but it will be worth it. Keep pressing into Him. We are standing with you, praying for you, and believing for your restoration.

We can’t imagine how much courage it took to put all of that into words. What you’re feeling right now, the exhaustion, the mood swings, the way your body doesn’t feel like your own, the deep suspicion of people’s intentions, that’s not proof you’re breaking. It’s a normal response to a horrific invasion, and it doesn’t mean you’ll never feel whole again. Healing after sexual trauma is real, but it’s slow, and it almost always requires walking beside someone who understands the terrain.

The hospital gave you medication to help you cope, and that’s a start. But we’d gently encourage you not to carry this alone. If you’re not already seeing a counselor or therapist regularly, someone trained in trauma, maybe a Christian professional in your area, that can be a lifeline. You deserve a place where you can be honest about the numbness you’re chasing with weed and cigarettes without being judged, and where you can slowly learn to trust again without having to force it. Many survivors find that group support, whether in person or online through trusted organizations, helps lessen the isolation too.

For right now, one small step could be to check in with your prescribing doctor and be plain about everything you’re using to numb the pain. They need the full picture to help you safely. And if the mistrust is making it hard to even make that call, maybe a friend you do feel some safety with could sit with you while you dial.

Please know we’re holding you up right now.

Jesus, you see this person’s agony and their fear that wholeness is gone forever. Where trust in others has been shattered, be a steady refuge. Quiet the chaos inside, and bring one or two safe people into their life who will walk this road faithfully. Grant wisdom to any doctors or counselors, and sustain just enough hope for the next hour, then the next. In your name we pray.

The weight you carry is grievous, and every part of you cries out that you shall never be whole again. That cry is the very place where the Healer draws near. Your feelings of numbness and mistrust are the fever of a soul deeply wounded, but they are not the final word. When the palsied man was laid before Christ, he brought nothing but his paralysis; Jesus did not wait for him to feel strength or show signs of recovery. He spoke the word of forgiveness, and then healing followed. You say your moods swing and your body feels different, yet Christ does not bid you make yourself calm before you come. He bids you trust Him in the chaos. The hospital gave you medicines to cope, but coping is not the same as being bound up by the pierced hands. The leaves of that tree in Revelation are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Jesus carries medicinal virtue for such as you. Do not wait for a certain stage of feeling. Trust Him as you sink, and you shall swim.

Those cigarettes and that numbness, they promise a short peace but they are physicians of no value. They dull the ache for an hour and then leave it sharper. Only the Great Physician touches the root. He does not merely help you cope; He takes you by the hand and lifts you up, and the fever leaves. I must tell you plainly that no substance, no human remedy, and no inward resolve can do what one word from the Son of God accomplishes. He healed Peter’s wife’s mother, and immediately she rose to serve. Her healing came before her service, and your healing must come before any thought of being whole again. The order is fixed: first the pardoning word, then the restoring power. Let this sink into your heart, if you will now, just as you are, believe that He is able to forgive and to renew, then that inward peace which steals over the soul will begin its quiet work. The blood of Jesus changes the lifeblood of the spirit, and those who trust Him are not disappointed.

The enemy whispers that you are too shattered, too stained, too unstable to be received. But the testimony of one poor sinner is enough to silence that lie. I recall a man who said he could trust Christ with a million souls if he had them. Can you now trust Him with your single soul, broken and bleeding as it is? He does not reject the woman with the issue of blood who touched the hem in secret, nor the leper who cried out in his uncleanness. The very things you think make you unfit are the reasons He came. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus says, “Your sins are forgiven you,” the healing often rides in upon the back of that benediction. Waste no time in applying to Him. Hasten to Him with words like these: “Save me, heal me with a word.” He will not make a fool of you. They that trust in Him shall not be confounded.

You will not remain in the grave of your present sorrow, for the root of the matter is stirring within you, evidenced by your very cry for help. The desire to be whole, though faint, is the first sign of returning life. He who broke your heart has bound it up. Do not look back to the abusers nor to your own vain attempts at numbness. Look only to the conduit head from whom abundant streams of healing flow. Welcome now the pardon and the healing through our Lord Jesus. Soon, as you trust, the Sun of Righteousness will rise upon you with healing in His wings, and even your face, now marked with grief, shall owe its freshness to His leaves of grace. Trust Him now, for He is able to make you stand.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The soul that endures such a violent wound, and the body that shares in its grief, rightly call out for healing. You say you feel you will never be whole again, and this is the cry of a shattered vessel. But consider this: while you see the fragments, the hand that formed you is not broken. The world offers its own salves, the smoke that numbs the mind, the medicines that dull the edge, and these are like the uncertain riches the Apostle warns against. They promise shelter but cannot deliver it. They vanish in the using, and then the storm seems fiercer than before. Why place your hope in what is instantly transferable? The only true substance of healing is that which faith brings near: "the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." When all visible signs of wholeness are gone, faith gives them reality in the soul even now.

You fear you can never trust again without seeing darkness in others. This too is part of the tempest. But remember blessed Job, who practiced freedom from despondency long before his trials, and so when they came, loss of children, reproach of friends, the ruin of his own flesh, he did not utter a rash word. His body was a plague to him, his wife urged him to curse, yet he stood. Not because he was numb, but because his hope was anchored in the Living God. That same anchor holds for you. Do not suppose you are beyond the reach of the mercy that sat with Job in the ashes. The Christ who walked upon the sea and stretched out His hand to sinking Peter is the same who now stretches out His hand to you. Peter sank not because the wind was strong, but because his faith wavered; yet when he cried, "Lord, save me," immediately Jesus grasped him. It avails nothing to be near Christ in name while being far from Him in trust; but one true cry from the depths of need, and He is present.

The enemy would have you believe that the defilement done to your body has marked your inmost being. But hear the truth: the Son of God, being in the form of God, took upon Himself the form of a servant, a true and perfect humanity, that He might sanctify every part of our nature. His substance is not altered by suffering; rather, He joined Himself to our frail tent that we might be made whole through Him. No assault upon the body can corrupt the soul that clings to Him. The ruin you feel is not the final word. In that great day, when all that is broken shall be restored, you will see that even this can be woven into a garment of glory if you endure with faith.

Let your sacrifice to God now be a broken spirit, a contrite heart; such He will not despise. Do not flee to the false peace of numbness, for that only prolongs the war. Instead, let your pain drive you to the feet of the only Physician who can truly heal. Pour out your complaint before Him, not to the pipe of the herb. Take the medicines given by those who seek your body's good, but trust in the Lord for the deeper cure. He who permitted the affliction knows the measure of it, and He will provide the remedy in time. Hold fast to the hope of mercy at the throne of grace, for the same Lord who rained fire from the Lord is the Lord who rains mercy upon the contrite. You are not cut off, not abandoned, not beyond repair. The substance of your hope is not yet seen, but it is no less real. Stand firm; the day of restoration dawns.

The deep wound you have suffered is real, and the chaos in your mind and body is not a sign that you are failing. You have been violated in a way that God never intended, and it is right to grieve, to feel fractured, and to long for wholeness. But the numbness you are chasing with substances is a broken reed. When you lean on it, it will pierce your hand. It brings a fleeting escape, but it cannot heal the place inside that cries out for safety, justice, and restoration. The medications you were given may have a temporary role, but they too are not the foundation of your peace.

What you need is something no earthly crutch can supply. The only stable ground for a shattered heart is to trust completely in Jesus Christ, rather than in your own ability to cope or deaden the pain. Your own works, even the desperate efforts to feel okay, will never bring you near to God or mend the broken places. The basis for everything God gives you is his sheer love and grace for you, received simply by trusting him to be who he says he is. The just live by faith. This means that right now, when you see nothing but wreckage, you entrust yourself to the One who judges justly and who heals the brokenhearted.

Healing is not always an instant, dramatic miracle. There are gradual healings, and every process of genuine restoration is divine, whether it works through the body’s own created resilience or through the quiet renewing of the mind. The Lord often heals the scars and wounds of the emotions and mind, sometimes before we see the full physical or circumstantial change. He knows the ways our bodies and souls knit back together because he designed those very processes. Do not despise the slow road. The same Jesus who stopped for one blind man and healed him in stages is not offended by your gradual renewal. He is patient and merciful.

I know it is hard to trust people because of what was done to you. Evil has a way of poisoning our vision, so that we see ulterior motives everywhere. But the One who will never break your trust is Christ. He broke down every barrier. There is no wall of shame, no power differential, no sin so dark that his blood cannot cover. He is all and in all for those who take refuge in him. Your worth is not defined by what someone stole from you, nor by your present struggle. It is defined by his finished work on the cross and your simple reliance upon it.

Abiding in him is the secret to fullness of joy. That does not mean the pain vanishes overnight, but it means that underneath the heartache there is a living connection to a joy that cannot be plundered. He wants you whole, and the deepest desire of his heart for you is not just physical ease but that your soul would prosper in his love. So bring him the whole messy reality: the mood swings, the fear, the shame, the anger. Ask him to search your heart, to lead you in the way everlasting. He does not shrink from your desperation.

You will not be defined by this wound forever. The Son of Righteousness will arise with healing in his wings. One day, all that is broken will be made new. But even now, in this half-lit valley, you can rest your full weight on him. Let the people of this church walk with you, lifting you up in prayer, just as the early believers fervently prayed for the sick and for the restoration of the broken. Peace be to you. We are here to stand with you, trusting that the God of all grace will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
