I have 3 annoying type things really pressing on me need deliverance.One,I dont know if its seasonal but little flies all over the house but worse yet,when Im trying to eat they swarm all around me to get to the food.You shoo them away rightback.Then these spam.calls showing up all throughout the day on my phone ,numbers I dont know some from out of state.No message,probably a scam.But persistent.Then..theres one neighbor who seems to have psychological problems with being alone .He has a tendency to be "clingy ".He was stuck like glue to one neighbor,but that one went away for a few weeks ,so I "inheritated" him.He got in.the habit of knocking on my door at all kinds of inopertune. times like Im trying to et do sometime etc.Ever day.A few others complained of this trait in him.One guys wife complained because she couldn't get time with her own husband..He has a reputation of making a pest of himself.SO these 3 things ..flies spam calls and a clingy neighbor .

We hear your distress and understand how these persistent annoyances can weigh heavily on your peace and daily life. Let us bring these burdens before the Lord, seeking His deliverance and wisdom in each situation.

First, the swarms of flies disrupting your home and meals can feel like an invasion, a constant irritation that steals joy from even simple moments. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 91:3-4, "For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart." We pray that God would rebuke this pestilence in your home. Father, we ask You to send Your angels to guard and protect every corner of their dwelling. Drive away these flies and any uncleanness they may represent. Grant wisdom to identify the source, whether it be neglect, decay, or something unseen, and reveal practical steps to eliminate them. May Your peace, like a shield, surround their home so that no pestilence or disturbance can linger.

Next, the relentless spam calls are not just an inconvenience but a violation of your peace, a constant interruption that disrupts your focus and rest. In 1 Corinthians 14:33, we are reminded, "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace." These calls, often rooted in deception and greed, are tools of the enemy to sow frustration and distraction. We rebuke the spirit of confusion and deception behind these calls. Lord, we ask You to sever every connection these scammers have to their phone. Place a hedge of protection around their number so that no ungodly call can penetrate. Grant them discernment to recognize and reject these disturbances, and wisdom to use the tools available, whether blocking numbers, reporting them, or seeking technological solutions, to restore order to their communications. May their phone be a vessel for Your peace, not a conduit for chaos.

Finally, the clingy neighbor presents a more delicate challenge, as it involves a person created in Your image, yet whose behavior has become a burden. Proverbs 25:17 warns, "Let your foot be seldom in your neighbor’s house, lest he be weary of you, and hate you." While we are called to love our neighbors (Mark 12:31), we are also called to set healthy boundaries, for love does not enable dysfunction. This neighbor’s neediness may stem from loneliness, insecurity, or even spiritual oppression, but it is not your responsibility to fill the void in his life. We pray for this man, that You would meet his deepest needs for companionship and purpose. Father, soften his heart to seek You first, rather than clinging to others. Grant him relationships that are healthy and reciprocal, where he can give and receive love in a way that honors You. For our brother/sister here, we ask for wisdom to set firm but compassionate boundaries. Give them the courage to say no when necessary, without guilt, and the grace to redirect this neighbor to more appropriate sources of support, whether community, counseling, or church. May their interactions be marked by Your peace, not obligation.

In all these things, we recognize that these annoyances are not merely coincidences but opportunities to lean into God’s sovereignty. James 1:2-4 reminds us, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the trial of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." These trials are refining your patience, trust, and dependence on the Lord. We encourage you to surrender each frustration to Him, trusting that He is working even in the small things to draw you closer to His heart.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the only Name by which we can be saved and find access to Your throne. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, who is burdened by these persistent trials. You see the flies that invade their home, the calls that disrupt their peace, and the neighbor who clings too tightly. We ask that You would move mightily in each of these situations.

For the flies, we declare that no pestilence will remain in their home. Cleanse their dwelling, Lord, and reveal any areas that need attention. Let Your peace, like a river, flow through every room, driving out every unclean thing. For the spam calls, we break every assignment of the enemy to confuse or deceive. Silence these calls, Father, and restore order to their communications. For the neighbor, we pray for transformation. Soften his heart, Lord, and lead him to healthy relationships and to You. Grant our brother/sister wisdom to set boundaries that honor You and protect their peace.

Above all, we ask that You would strengthen their faith through these trials. Teach them to trust in Your timing and Your provision. May they find rest in Your presence, knowing that You are their refuge and strength. We rebuke every spirit of frustration, confusion, and oppression in Jesus’ name. Let Your light shine in every dark corner of these situations, and may Your will be done.

We can sure see how having all three of those wearing on you at once would feel like a pressure that just won’t let up. It’s often the small, persistent things that fray our nerves the most, not because they’re huge crises, but because they chip away at our peace without a clear end in sight.

With the neighbor, what stands out to us is that the real frustration isn’t that he’s a bad person, but that the relationship lacks healthy boundaries, those “property lines” that help us love someone without being consumed by their needs. You have every right to protect your time, your meals, and your own emotional space. A kind but clear word can be an act of love that helps both of you. Something as simple as, “I can’t talk right now, but let’s catch up for a few minutes tomorrow afternoon,” tells him you care while guarding your doorbell. You’re not rejecting him; you’re setting the relationship up for something more sustainable.

The flies and spam calls are a different kind of trial, mostly out of your control. We’ve found that dealing with them sometimes requires a mix of practical fixes (fly strips or a fan to keep the air moving while you eat, call-blocking apps or letting unknown numbers go to voicemail) and something harder: patient endurance. Not passive resignation, but a steady, willed resistance to letting these little things steal your calm. God sees the small stuff too, and He can give you the grace to keep your cool when the flies dive-bomb your plate or the phone buzzes again.

Lord, these repeated annoyances are wearing Your child down. Please give practical wisdom for the neighbor situation, courage to set loving limits, and a softened heart on his side. For the flies and the calls, we ask for relief, for simple solutions to work, and for a supernatural patience that doesn’t depend on everything going perfectly. Cover this home with Your peace, and let these persistent irritations lose their power to unsettle. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The Lord has chastened you, but not unto death; these are not the arrows of the enemy to destroy, but the goads of the Father to drive you nearer to Himself. Flies, calls, and a clinging neighbor, these are the trifling yet grievous instruments of a tender Providence. Is it not written, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You"? The moment the soul fixes its gaze upon these buzzing, ringing, knocking vexations, peace takes wing; but when the eye is steadfast toward the Mercy Seat, the very annoyances become a shadowless light. The flies that swarm your table, what are they but reminders that this world is a wilderness and not our rest? The spam calls that interrupt your quiet, are they not the noise of archers from which the Lord alone can deliver? And this neighbor, whose very loneliness makes him cleave to you as a second self, here is a burden, yes, but the burden-bearer is Christ. Acquaint thyself with God, and be at peace; for His ear is not shut to the small miseries any more than to the great.

Yet the Lord’s deliverance is often wrought by human instrumentality, and so He may call you to act as well as to trust. A little care with screens and coverings may abate the swarm; a firm refusal to entertain strange numbers may starve the calls. As for the neighbor, the way of wisdom and love is to set bounds with the meekness of Christ, speaking truth in patience, lest you become the enabler of his idolatry of human company. Remember, He brought His people forth with silver and gold; He enriches our spirit even through the trial, if we learn the holy art of resting in His will. Do not let these things drive you to a feverish haste for deliverance, but let them push you deeper into the cleft of the Rock, where the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. Then, when His time is full, you shall go forth with thanksgiving, declaring, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord."

You speak of three things that press upon you: flies, phone calls, and a neighbor. The flies are tiny creatures, a mere nuisance that troubles your meal; the calls are empty voices, a fleeting disturbance. These you may bear with a light spirit, for they cannot touch the soul. But the neighbor, this is no small matter, for he is not a fly, but a man made in the image of God. His clinging, his knocking at inconvenient hours, this you see as a pest. Yet have you considered that it springs from a sickness within him, a loneliness that gnaws at his mind? He was stuck to another like glue, and now that one is gone, he has turned to you. Shall you shoo him away as you do the flies? God forbid.

Love is the sum of the commandments. “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” This is the beginning and the end of virtue. If we are members one of another, his need concerns your own body. When he knocks, it is Christ who knocks. When he is burdensome, it is a test of your patience and mercy. For what do you wish from God when you pray? You ask for mercy, for deliverance from your own annoying sins. Yet how can you expect God to hear you if you will not first show mercy to this troubled soul? “Whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.” If you were alone and tormented by isolation, would you not desire a kind word, a patient ear? Do not then let the tiny flies drive you to complain, while the beam in your eye, impatience with your neighbor, goes unnoticed.

Do not flee from him as from idolatry, but bear with him. In doing so, you feed the sheep of Christ. Let this be your spiritual discipline: when the flies swarm, offer thanks that you have food; when the phone rings, pray swiftly for the caller; when the neighbor comes, receive him with gentleness, and you will lay up treasure in heaven. In this way, those three annoyances become teachers of virtue. Keep the door of your heart open to your neighbor, and God will bless you. For the merciful shall obtain mercy.

These three persistent annoyances can certainly wear on your patience, but they are not unnoticed by the Lord, and there is real hope for deliverance that begins with how we see them.

The swarm of flies may feel like a small plague, especially at meals, and it brings to mind how God once used such creatures to confront a nation that had set its heart on lesser things. The Egyptians had worshipped the fly; God magnified it until the land was corrupted, and only when Moses interceded did the swarms depart. That history is a picture: life lived in bondage to sin and the flesh is an endless irritation, but the true Deliverer hears our cry. I would not say you worship flies, but perhaps these tiny invaders can turn your attention upward. Entreat the Lord to lift them, and do what you naturally can, but also ask Him to sanctify the annoyance. The enemy, whom Scripture calls the destroyer, would love to steal your peace through such little things, yet he operates only within boundaries God has appointed. Trust that your Father has set limits even on a kitchen pest.

The spam calls likewise are a modern version of persistent, unwanted voices. The world is full of clamor, often deceptive, trying to lure or distract. Here the lesson of the shepherd becomes precious: his sheep know his voice and will not follow a stranger. You can use each intrusive ring as a reminder to listen for the one Voice that truly matters. God is not in the spam call, but He can speak through your refusal to be rattled. Pray for wisdom to block what you can, and for a quiet heart that rests in His oversight.

The neighbor who clings too tightly is, in fact, a direct call to love your neighbor as yourself. I hear the frustration in your words, and others have felt it too, but the command is not conditional on his pleasantness. Who is your neighbor? Jesus made it clear: the one who is in distress. This man is lonely; his soul is poor, and he is seeking from humans what only the Good Shepherd can truly provide. You cannot be his savior, but you can show him mercy. That does not mean there are no boundaries, God Himself established borders for the inheritance of His people, and loving someone well sometimes means setting gentle, firm limits. Yet be careful not to despise him in your heart or speak of him in ways you would not want spoken of yourself. A man of understanding makes peace. Look for ways to show kindness that fit within your own household’s rhythms, perhaps a set time or a small gesture, and then entrust him to God. Love works no ill to a neighbor; it fulfills the law.

In all three, the deeper work may be in you: a refining of patience, a sharpening of your dependence on God, and an opportunity to practice love in the ordinary grind. Do not let these things drive you to sin, by anger, gossip, or despair. Instead, bring them daily to the Lord who hears His sheep by name. He can deliver from flies, from endless distractions, and from the weight of a clingy soul, in His way and His time.
