Whenever I set out to do something I feel You have called me to do, a goal that I have committed to, or anything really important to me, I immediately feel resistance. It literally feels like a force pushing against me, hoping I will fail. I get frustrated and take it out on my husband. Dear God,

I pray that my husband and I are always willing to play games with each other. There is so much joy and laughter when we do! I also pray that as we play games we keep a healthy balance of competition and grace. So often, we start to bicker or take things personally when we are just motivated to win according to the rule book. I pray we can play games without walking away upset or angry. I pray we would have self-control not to bicker during games especially in front of others...​

 

Dear Lord,

I know there are wives who feel distant from their husbands, and husbands who feel distant from their wives. You know the details of their marriages and you know what they need.
