AGAINST ALL HOPE! Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be." Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah's womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Romans 4:18-21 Do you feel today that your marriage being restored is "against all hope?" I know you may be battling your emotions and feelings since Christmas and the New Year holidays, but never forget how you started...
Today I chose a special devotional from ### about what you can be sure of in this new year. ### who was a prodigal who returned home and was remarried to me for an additional ### years before the Lord took him home to Heaven. ### wrote ### books from the prodigal's perspective for more than two decades after our divorce and remarriage. - ### TOP TEN "FOR SURE" THIS NEW YEAR Can you look at the arrival of ### not as another year of standing, but as another year of promise, another year for you to serve the Lord and another year for Him to answer your prayers? We fully understand that we all are living in precarious predicaments in unsettled times. Trouble seems to abound on every side, from the political arena to the job market...
HAPPY NEW YEAR Our family and I want to wish you and your family a very Happy New Year. We pray that this new year you will have a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. We pray that you will pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. We pray that the Lord will do a mighty work, not only in your life, but also in your husband’s or wife’s life and in your children's lives this year. David sang to the Lord the words of this song when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He said: "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior - from violent men you...
```html THE REASON FOR THE SEASON For years, probably for as long as I can remember, I have heard that the reason for this season of the year is the celebration and remembrance of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, some 2000 years ago. Let me suggest yet another reason…you and I! In a paradigm shift, think back a few millennia before the birth of Christ to the Garden of Eden. There in the Garden, Adam lived in complete fellowship with God. God enjoyed His fellowship with Adam by walking through the Garden with him and conversing with him. God had given Adam the job of chief caretaker of God’s Paradise, the Garden of Eden. Everything was great. Then Adam fell as sin entered the picture. So in an act of redemption for you...
BE CONSISTENT Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” . . .Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Romans 4:18, 20-21 We are less than 24 hours away from another new year, putting our divorce one more year behind us. I realized that we now have six grandchildren older than our youngest son's age when we divorced. On one hand, it seems like ages ago that we went through all of the horrible mess. I think about some of the things I did, while pretending to be a Christian and...
When I'm dead and gone; What will be my Legacy? How will I be remembered? Or, will anyone remember me at all? It's common knowledge that we do not picture or see ourselves as other people pictures or see's us. We, most of the time, vision ourselves in such a way that other people may not see us in the same way. We like to think highly of our selves. The picture we paint of ourselves may not be the same picture the world see's. We may vision ourselves as a 10, but the world may only see a 4. It's very hard for us to see and admit that we have faults. We can see other people's faults, but when it comes to our own faults; Well............... You get my drift. What I'm trying to say is; that we don't see ourselves as other people see's us...
I woke up this morning and 2 songs that we sang at church yesterday were stuck in my head...wait they still are. It's not like the annoying songs that you hate it when they get stuck in your head...these two are amazing. I believe that they are stuck in my head for a reason. These two songs are "Holy Spirit" and "You Won't Relent." With all of my struggles with faith that I have had lately I feel that these songs are ones that I really needed to hear...along with the sermon yesterday. I finally feel like God is there for me and I am trying my best to give him my all! "You won't relent until you have it all...my heart is yours" "Holy Spirit you are welcome here...come flood this place and fill the atmosphere"
Wow!! I spent the last hour typing up a blog which would have been published instead of this, but "yay" I forgot to save it and now it's lost, but I'm still believing God that this new blog would be GREATER than the previous one, and that you reading this will be so blessed and lifted to a GREATER LEVEL. Amen. It's almost 2014, and like me, you might be planning on going to church tomorrow in order to receive the blessing of God for the new year. However, wherever you would be at the new year's eve, if you would believe in the word of God and all His GREAT prophesies upon the lives of His children, I believe 2014 would be your year of an OVERTAKING BREAKTHROUGH. I wouldn't exclude myself from this, sometimes we all go through...
REACH OUT FOR HIS RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND! "I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness." Isaiah 42:6-7 What are you feeling or facing today? What are you fearful about right now? May I suggest you reach out your hand to your Lord Jesus Christ. Hold on to your Lord's righteous right hand and let Him lead you through all your fiery trials. Yes, especially after Christmas as you face the New Year possibly alone again. Do you know the mighty power that is in His righteous right hand? Sing to the...
