A Standers Affirmation I AM STANDING FOR THE HEALING OF MY MARRIAGE!... I will not give up, give in, give out or give over 'til that healing takes place. I made a vow, I said the words, I gave the pledge, I gave a ring, I took a ring, I gave myself, I trusted GOD, and said the words, and meant the words... in sickness and in health, in sorrow and in joy, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in good times and in bad...so I am standing NOW, and will not sit down, let down, slow down, calm down, fall down, look down or be down 'til the breakdown is torn down! I refuse to put my eyes on outward circumstances, or listen to prophets of doom, or buy into what is trendy, worldly, popular, convenient, easy, quick, thrifty, or...
Lord, Open Their Eyes - Turn Them From Darkness "The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!" Matthew 6:22-23 God says throughout the Bible, He will set the captives and prisoners free. He will give sight to the blind, and heal the sick. Ask the Lord daily to do this for your spouse and believe in faith that He will do it! As it is written in the Word, it is God's will for all sinners to be saved. Pray for your husband, wife or child to receive healing from their spiritual blindness caused by sin. Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the...
The Armor of God 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16...
I've heard a few people teach that since God loves all His creation equally, that He loves Satan. I was in a SDA meeting and they talked about a teaching based on a vision Ellen G White said she had. They talked of how God approached Lucifer before the war in heaven repeatedly so that he would repent. Apparently even now, today he can repent so he can be saved. A minister in an Apostolic meeting last night also taught about the love of God for Satan and how he can repent through the sacrifice of Jesus. So then, shouldn't we be praying for Satan to repent and be saved? This same minister also mentioned a popular teaching that the giants mentioned in Genesis before the flood were spawns of the fallen angels mating with human women...
JESUS WILL CALM YOUR STORM! That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, "Let us go over to the other side." Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. Mark 4:35-39 Are you in a storm of marriage or financial problems? I know the fear that you are feeling. The winds seem to be blowing so strong in your circumstances that...
DESIRE MORE OF GOD Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart. Psalm 119:2 I challenge you to spend some special quality time this week to find "More of God!" What does that mean? I pray that you will hunger and thirst, seeking God's will and way for your life and marriage. Read God's Word to direct your every step. I pray that you seek His Presence for you to change and become more like Jesus. May you and I stop using excuses about our personalities or our family heritage, or our personal tragedies or failures in our lives, but may we truly desire to be "More Like God" every day. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6 Will you do a personal...
Hi All! I hope each and every one of you are enjoying my daily posting of the "Charlyne Cares" Devotional that is posted daily from the Rejoice Ministries website. This site and this couple are a real inspiration to all of us who are Standers for our marriages. As well as posting a daily devotional, there is also a daily radio program, many helpful prayers, many other resources that prove helpful during our journey.I personally recommend the books they have written, especially the ones written from the Prodigals Perspective...I have read and reread them. I especially love that they are Ebooks, as I'm a techy at heart. I have received so much positive feedback from many of you who are really being lifted and encouraged. I hope all of...
GOD'S LETTER TO THE STANDER Did you know there is a book of the Bible written specifically for you? Standers and prodigals are so close to the Lord’s heart that He devoted an entire book pleading with you to receive your prodigal back just as you would receive Him. Which book you ask? Philemon. This is a very short book in the New Testament that can be read in full in a matter of a few minutes. I encourage every stander to read it. Paul, the author, is appealing to his friend in Christ, Philemon, for him to receive back Onesimus. Onesimus was a runaway slave, just as your prodigal may currently be a slave to their sin. I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, who became my son while I was in chains…I am sending him—who is my very...
THE PLANS OF THE LORD STAND FIRM FOREVER! Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him. Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. Psalm 33:1-3 Will you praise and worship the Lord this Sunday and every day for His greatness? We serve an awesome mighty God. I would encourage you to read Psalm 33. The author, who many say is David, calls on God's righteous people to praise God for who He is and for all His works. We are to sing joyfully to the Lord, with music and sing to Him a new song with joy. I know that when you are praising the Lord, you may even be crying, but continue to praise the Lord anyway...
