From the moment I was saved I had a passion to read the Word and to study it. I was in a dysfunctional marriage and the desperate need to be loved drew me close to God in search of love and in search of understanding it. I started writing poetry as soon as I was saved but it was not until my youngest son was killed that I had a desire to write books and Bible Studies. I did not think of where it would lead me; it was in my heart and I had to do it. I had a hope inside my heart that I could not let go of—it was a hope for love, a hope for my aching heart to be healed, a hope that God would give me a better life and a hope that one day I would be with Him for an eternity and forever away from the heartache of the world. (Zechariah...
THE REASON FOR THE SEASON For years, probably for as long as I can remember, I have heard that the reason for this season of the year is the celebration and remembrance of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, some 2000 years ago. Let me suggest yet another reason…you and I! In a paradigm shift, think back a few millennia before the birth of Christ to the Garden of Eden. There in the Garden, Adam lived in complete fellowship with God. God enjoyed His fellowship with Adam by walking through the Garden with him and conversing with him. God had given Adam the job of chief caretaker of God’s Paradise, the Garden of Eden. Everything was great. Then Adam fell as sin entered the picture. So in an act of redemption for you and...
BE CONSISTENT Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.†. . .Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Romans 4:18, 20-21 We are less than 24 hours away from another new year, putting our divorce one more year behind us. I realized that we now have six grandchildren older than our youngest son's age when we divorced. On one hand, it seems like ages ago that we went through all of the horrible mess. I think about some of the things I did, while pretending to be a Christian and...
When I'm dead and gone; What will be my Legacy? How will I be remembered? Or, will anyone remember me at all? It's common knowledge that we do not picture or see ourselves as other people pictures or see's us. We, most of the time, vision ourselves in such a way that other people may not see us in the same way. We like to think highly of our selves. The picture we paint of ourselves may not be the same picture the world see's. We may vision ourselves as a 10, but the world may only see a 4. Its very hard for us to see and admit that we have faults. We can see other people's faults, but when it comes to our own faults; Well............... You get my drift. What i'm trying to say is; that we don't see ourselves as other people see's us...
I woke up this morning and 2 songs that we sang at church yesterday were stuck in my head...wait they still are. It's not like the annoying songs that you hate it when they get stuck in your head...these two are amazing. I believe that they are stuck in my head for a reason. These two songs are "Holy Spirit" and "You Won't Relent." With all of my struggles with faith that I have had lately I feel that these songs are ones that I really needed to hear...along with the sermon yesterday. I finally feel like God is there for me and I am trying me best to give him my all! "You won't relent until you have it all...my heart is yours" "Holy spirit you are welcome here...come flood this place and fill the atmosphere"
Wow!! i spent the last hour typing up a blog which would have been published instead of this, but "yay" i forgot to save it an now it's lost, but i'm still believing God that this new blog would be GREATER than the previous one, and that you reading this will be soo blessed and lifted to a GREATER LEVEL. Amen. It's almost 2014, and like me, you might be planning on going to church tomorrow in order to receive the blessing of God for the new year. However, wherever you would be at the new years eve, if you would believe in the word of God and all His GREAT prophesies upon the lives of His children, i believe 2014 would be your year of an OVERTAKING BREAKTHROUGH. I wouldn't exclude myself from this, sometimes we all go through situations...
REACH OUT FOR HIS RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND! "I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness." Isaiah 42:6-7 What are you feeling or facing today? What are you fearful about right now? May I suggest you reach out your hand to your Lord Jesus Christ. Hold on to your Lord's righteous right hand and let Him lead you through all your fiery trials. Yes, especially after Christmas as you face the New Year possibly alone again. Do you know the mighty power that is in His righteous right hand? Sing to the...
I had to work the nursery at church this morning during 1st service so I decided to stay for 2nd service today and it's a good thing that I did. The sermon today was about getting to the "finish line" and not giving up. It was something that I really needed to hear because giving up was something that I was about to do. During worship I really felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and I felt comfort and ease. I really needed to be at church this morning. I'm glad I did.
Good Morning Prayer Partners. I have discovered this on a website and decided to share with all of you who are standing for your marriages and who may be the victim of adultery. Please DO NOT shoot the messenger here. I am merely sharing this. We all need to seek The Lord, DILIGENTLY, about our own individual circumstances and remember that His Ways are not our ways. I found the article and the scriptures eye-opening and thought-provoking to me. Some light has been shed on places that I once had trouble comprehending. Please feel free to leave me your thoughts and feelings HOWEVER, know that this is just me sharing this material. I am NOT the author. I do have very strong personal beliefs that have come about after many years of seeking...
“Take the Sword of the Spirit†The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, is our offensive weapon. It is incredibly powerful and effective at driving away the enemy and tearing down his work. However, it is a mistake to attempt to wield the Sword without having the defensive weapons all in place. If we lightly skip over the defensive weapons we are neglecting to consider that the enemy has offensive weapons of his own. We will become an easy target for him to bring down. It is extremely foolish to go out to battle without all the weapons provided by God for us to use to overcome the enemy. On the other hand, it can be tempting to feel that the enemy will leave us alone if we only have the defensive weapons in place. Many...
