ARE YOU SEEKING THE PRINCE OF PEACE? For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 Are you seeking the Prince of Peace every day as you pray for restoration of your marriage? Do you have peace in your family right now? My prayer for you this Lord's Day and the last few days before Christmas is that you will seek to have God's peace in your home and with your family as you prepare your heart and home for Christmas. This Christmas believe that you can start to have "peace on earth" because the Prince of Peace, Jesus, was born on Christmas. Do you know Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace...
(Daniel 10:12-13) “Then he continued, “Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.†Traffic jams, we all hate them! When we are on the road to a destination we just want to get there and do not want to be held up. We are like that in our prayer life; we pray and when it takes too long we start to get fearful that maybe our prayers will not get answered. The Lord says to believe and keep on believing and our...
THE NATIVITY SETS And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Luke 2:8-12 I love celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus. After Bob returned home, I started collecting Nativity sets. I have one on my mantle in the center that is a Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus in ceramic gold with many angels...
THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS Do you know the many Names of your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? I have a book that lists hundreds of Names of our Lord Jesus Christ that are throughout the Bible, and it also gives the scripture references. There is such power when you read the Names of our Lord Jesus out loud, which can heal your hurting heart. Your faith will start to grow and you suddenly realize who you are in Christ. Jesus Christ is the Son of God and was born in Bethlehem to become our Savior and Lord. I know that you can walk in victory and live a victorious Christian life as a husband/wife or father/mother when you are willing to surrender your life and marriage to the Holy Spirit and the greatest Counselor. My prayer is...
THE SHEPARDS WENT TO SEEK THE LORD "For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." Luke 19:10b Have you been able to attend a church musical this year? This year I gave one of my Christmas gifts early to my three children and their families as we all attended the well-known Ft. Lauderdale Christmas Pageant. They have a large volunteer cast doing drama with many choirs of all ages. The Christmas pageant is a very large theatrical production, which started 30 years ago and has been on TBN several times. I had many memories as Bob and I had our own children in the pageant many years ago. Now they are taking their own children to see a two and half hour pageant with Christmas carols, many songs with many different scene sets...
(I John 3:16-20) “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts and He knows everything.†Jesus is love personified; He is the love of God so great, that God birth that love into flesh to save the world. (John 3:16) “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son...
LORD, I'M COMING HOME! "Lord, may you touch, change and soften my spouse's heart. May my husband/wife confess their sins, repent and turn from their sinful ways as they come to their senses. Lord, send them home for Christmas, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen." Is this not your prayer as we pray for thousands of husbands, wives and prodigal children to come to their senses and come home for Christmas? Will you start or continue to pray fervently for the next 10 days? Why? Because many people will be invited to different church musicals, children's musicals, church pageants and many other special Christmas activities at many different churches in each city around the world proclaiming the Gospel. This is an excellent time to invite...
The Christmas Letter Like many of you, I have been trying to decide how to handle Christmas cards this year with my prodigal away in the far country. Do I just put our last name? Do I put a picture of only the children? Will my card bring joy to the reader or sadness? I prayed about it and finally decided to make my card a call to prayer. I have a dear friend who volunteered to take pictures of me and the kids. The only way I was going to send a picture card without my dear husband in it, was if it was partnered with a letter asking my friends and family to keep praying. Below is the letter God helped me write this year. I pray that God will clearly direct you this Christmas season to know how to handle this difficult time, but most of...
Hello every one I hope every one is ready for Christmas and making plans with your family or friends. This is a time of recognizing what God has done for us in our life and in history. All though the exact date of Christ's birth is unknown we use this time of year to celebrate the birth of our savior. The one who lived a life without sin and then died a sinners death on the cross so we could be saved. The life of Jesus is nothing short of a miracle. From a virgin giving birth to the son of God, to His resurrection from the grave. Yes God is now and always has been in the miracle business. How many times have you really sat back and thought about the birth of Jesus and how impossible it looks in human eyes? I want you to pause for a...
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. (Exodus 14:13-14 KJV) LET US PRAY: Lord God, I am not afraid because I know that Your presence goes with me. I know that often Your presence goes before me, even into days ahead. I know that You often go ahead of me to work in my favor. Lord, I want to thank You for all the times You have made a way for me, especially when there seemed to be none. Lord, today, I stand still, I worship You, I acknowledge that You are my God and the source of my salvation. I know that You accomplish greatness for me today. Lord, I offer my whole...
