God's idea of 'rich' Sunday 13th January 2019 'The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.' Proverbs 10:22 NLT When we think of being rich, usually we think of it as 'having plenty of money'. But what's God's idea of being rich? God wants us to be 'rich' in every area of our lives: in our relationships, our health, our peace of mind, our careers, and in everything that concerns us. And in every area of 'richness' God longs for us to steward what he has given us well. He loves for us to share our 'riches.' In the parable of the three servants in Matthew 25:14-30, each servant was trusted with a different amount of money, depending on their ability to look after it. Imagine if the third servant had been...
They cry holy is the Lord our God. He want us all to be blessed, helped and healed. Call on the Lord who is worthy to save those who reject Jesus. Shine for Jesus wherever you are. Be yourself truthfully and honestly. Hide nothing before the Lord. He knows everything about you. Accept yourself as you are. Come to Jesus and ask for mercy and forgiveness. Value yourself as children of the living God. Satan will tell you horrible things about you and your past. Do not listen to him. Listen to Jesus. I have loved you with an everlasting love. Forgive yourself for what you have done in the past. Jesus has taken away every single sin you have committed. All are blotted out by the Blood of the Lamb. Lord, You are more precious than...
We read, "Don't let the world around you fit you into its mold." When that comes to following worldly trends, I don't. However, there's one thing I see out in the world that I used to think maybe was somewhat "heartless," but I now can understand, is when bosses fire workers who are too "far gone," and want to do things "their way," and make their own rules, despite being told otherwise several times by the boss. Specifically, in my case, I'm self-employed, and so I don't have someone over me telling me I have to deal with certain difficult people. Now there's one person who likes to "make her own rules" very arrogant, spirit of rebellion, wants to pay only if and when she feels like, sets an appointment time, and I get there and she's...
Message for today: You should treat God as a VIP. "VERY IMPORTANT PERSON". What does that mean? VIPs are presidents, kings, maires, etc.... they get the best seats in stadiums, arenas, theatres, halls, concerts, meetings... they are treated PREFERENTIALY... Our God is king of kings and president of all presidents, right? Ruler over all. How would you treat kings and presidents in your life? Preferentially. You would dress for Him like for a special occasion. Not in rags. Wear the best perfume, the best makeup, best jewelry, etc. Brush your teeth, clean yourself completely up. You would cancel all meetings and dates that are in the time you have an appointment with Him. You would get help from Him if He sees that you...
"Yet we know from experience that life, despite our confidence in our salvation, is not easy. Jesus knew that life is hard (they tried to throw Him off a cliff, they mocked Him, and they eventually brutally executed Him), and He told us just that, saying that in this world, we will have trouble and tribulation (John 16:33). Have we ever gotten upset with God because things are tough, and they don’t seem to be getting any easier? Yet Christ has told us it would be this way. Why do we go on expecting things to be easy? Life is tough, no doubt about it. Jesus never meant it to be easy. He said in this world we will have trouble. The promise, however, is that He has overcome this world. When we remember our calling and our inheritance in...
This is important, but I will make it brief. My son is an alcoholic and my daughter is most likely addicted to drugs. It's very heart breaking, to say the least. I took my son to detox in ###, but he has now relapsed. It's been decided that I shall always love them, even if I am not in their lives. Prayers are the best that I can do for them and what I believe in the most. For anyone else out there, don't be afraid to talk to strangers about these things when your heart is breaking. Sometimes strangers can give us very important information that helps us rethink about how we are and it helps us to make us a better person.
~Divine Inspiration With An Earthly Story~ ( Parables ) "Christ taught in parables to invite us to reexamine some of our most cherished convictions about matters of 'Eternal Importance'. For this is the reason Jesus’s parables often unsettle rather than reassure." (Know this and know it well. A parable, or an allegory story designed to illustrate or teach a moral lesson...to convey a meaning indirectly by use of comparison.) "Ponder these words carefully."........The Divine words tell us precisely...what you see is not what is meant...'They look and look, but do not see.' ( "The parable is, has been and always will be, the language of the wise for speaking to the simple, and the language of the simple for speaking to the wise…" "To...
