Here's the thing.I've heard a lot from enthusiastic Christians, even the tv ministers,, saying,"The Rapture could come before this broadcast ends. There's not one more prophecy to be fulfilled. We're "very close" to the Rapture." "All the signs are here."They say that, but if Jesus could come before the broadcast ends, that must be the longest broadcast ever, because some of those who said that, it was over 20 years ago, and the Rapture hasn't happened yet.Furthermore, when we see earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars, remember, Jesus said,"These things must happen, BUT THE END IS NOT YET."Also, "One day is with God as a thousand years."But that's fine, and according to Gods time, but here's the problem I have with that--the Rapture gets us...
We always read about "victory over the devil" in CERTAIN AREAS, like , laying on of hands, and the sick get healed, or spiritual victories. But you know, not all problems are related to that. Sure , the dead were raised, but I'm not dead so that doesn't relate to me .The sick were healed, but I don't have an ongoing physical problem, so doesn't apply to me.Hmmm...Now with my SPECIFIC problems, very different than the ones noted in the Bible, let's see if we can find a record of a cure from it.Annoying people...I continue to deal with annoying people.....did you read in the Bible of some coming to Jesus saying, I need certain annoying people out of my life, and Jesus laid hands on them, and the pain in the butt person left them alone?No.A...
How can I learn to trust in God? Answer: We cannot trust someone we don’t know, and that is the secret of learning to trust God. When someone says, “Trust me,” we have one of two reactions. Either we can say, “Yes, I’ll trust you,” or we can say, “Why should I?” In God’s case, trusting Him naturally follows when we understand why we should. The main reason we should trust God is that He is worthy of our trust. Unlike men, He never lies and never fails to fulfill His promises. “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” (Numbers 23:19; Psalm 89:34). Unlike men, He has the power to bring to pass what He plans and purposes to do...
Looking around,I can see when trying to answer that question, that it's not nessasarily the Most "intelligent" person{as the worlds view of intelligence is. because there are many "intelligent" people out there it's not nessasarily the "toughest", beecause there are "tough" guys who can mop the floor with almost anyone, but aren't saved. when they voice their beliefs, you can see they're unsaved;it's not the most "beautiful", because I've seen beautiful women who look like they're glowing with beauty, yet when they start talking, and you hear more about them,as beautiful as they look, their embrace of the demonic and hatred of godly things makes them disgusting, despite their looks.it's not even successful people, because there are well...
“Behold, I have set before thee an open door” . . . and I will write upon him my new name. (13) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the CHURCHES. . . (19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and REPENT. (20) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (21) To him that overcometh, will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. (22) He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the CHURCHES. Dear Heavenly Father: Thank You for this open door, and the doors which You have yet to open. I likewise Thank...
This is a subject that should be disccused more openly in my opinion. The struglle whit flesh. Romans 7:14-25 We realize that the law is spiritual; but I'm all-too-human, a slave to sin. I really don't understand what I'm doing. I do the things I don't want to do, and what I hate doing, that's what I do! But if I'm saying that I do what I don't want to, this shows that I admit the law is right. So it's no longer me who does this, but sin living in me— for I know that there's nothing good in me as far as my sinful human nature is concerned. Even though I want to do good, I'm just not able to do it. The good I want to do, I don't do; while the evil I don't want to do, that's what I end up doing! However if I'm doing what I don't want to...
Everyone around us will notice right away the change of our attitude, our mood and our intention when we give it all to Jesus. Following Him, loving Him and being just as He was. Full of mercy and compassion toward the lost and those in need. To change our attitude we must ask the Lord to fill us with the precious Holy Spirit and to get those wonderful gifts He has stored for us. 1. Wisdom from heaven. Ask and ye shall receive. 2. Understanding Gods word. The deeper we enter into the holy presence of God, the clearer His word will be. 3. A gift of counsel. A heavenly intuition to unable us to judge promptly and rightly specially in difficult situations. 4. Knowledge of Gods will for our life. To see the future in Gods...
The Bible states that the love of money is the root of all evil. But what I notice, I've had more problems dealing with peoples selfishness. So let's ask if selfishness is a sin.{I think so.}The Bible states,"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."But what I've seen and experienced with people, they DO NOT treat others the way they want to be treated.{Unless they"re masochists} Like, I think one kind of selfishness is not taking no for an answer I've had people ask me to do something for them at a very inconvenient time, and when I explain the situation, instead of seeing what I'm saying and accepting a compromise, instead they just push and push, plugging for what THEY want, and forget about the problems it may cause me ...
