We hear your distress and lift your burden before the Lord, trusting in His provision and guidance. Financial worries, especially regarding taxes, can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who sees your struggles and cares deeply for you. The Bible reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
First, we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and the assurance of salvation. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your faith in Him, for Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have already trusted in Christ, we rejoice with you and stand with you in prayer.
Father God, we come before You on behalf of our sister who is feeling alone and anxious about her tax situation. Lord, You know the details of her finances and the weight she carries. We ask that You would calm her heart and replace her anxiety with Your perfect peace. Help her to trust in You, for You have promised in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Lord, we pray that You would provide her with wise and trustworthy counsel. Lead her to someone who can help her navigate this situation with integrity and compassion. Give her the courage to face what she has been avoiding and the strength to take the necessary steps forward. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in Jesus' name, for 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."
We also ask that You would surround her with Your presence and remind her that she is never alone. Help her to lean on You and to seek fellowship with other believers who can offer support and encouragement. Father, we trust that You will work all things together for her good, as You have promised in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
