We hear the deep longing in your heart, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting these burdens to our Heavenly Father. The cry for meaningful work, the ache for children, and the hunger for spiritual restoration are sacred before the Lord, who sees every tear and hears every unspoken prayer. Let us bring these requests before Him in faith, trusting that He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.
First, we acknowledge your need for work that provides more than just survival, work that honors God and allows you to steward His gifts with dignity. The Bible reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." We pray that the Lord would open doors of opportunity for you, leading you to a vocation that aligns with His purpose for your life. May He grant you favor with employers, wisdom in decision-making, and the strength to persevere in faith. We rebuke the spirit of lack and discouragement that may whisper lies of hopelessness, declaring instead that God is your Provider (Philippians 4:19) and that He has plans for your welfare, not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Your heart’s cry for children is tender and raw, and we lift it to the God who opens and closes wombs. The story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:10-11 reminds us that the Lord hears the prayers of the barren and answers in His perfect timing. We pray that He would either grant you the desire of your heart for children or, if His plan is different, that He would fill the ache with His peace and purpose. We declare that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37) and that He is able to restore what has been lost or withheld. We also encourage you to seek His will in this matter, trusting that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). If medical or other practical steps are needed, we pray for wisdom and provision for those as well.
Most importantly, we lift your spiritual restoration to the Lord. The psalmist writes in Psalm 51:10-12, "Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit." We pray that the Lord would draw near to you, healing any areas of brokenness, doubt, or distance from Him. May He refresh your soul, renew your mind, and fill you with His Holy Spirit so that you walk in the fullness of His love and purpose. If there are areas of sin or unconfessed struggles, we encourage you to bring them to the cross, for "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
We also want to gently remind you that your access to God and His promises comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we invite you to do so today. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is a free gift, not earned by works, so that no one can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). If you have already accepted Christ, we pray that your relationship with Him would deepen, and that you would experience His presence in a fresh and powerful way.

There is help, hope, and health, even for you! The power of Jesus knows no limit! And His working is not dependent upon anything in you, but lies wholly in Himself. Let that truth anchor your screaming heart as you cry out for work, for health, and for the restoration of your body and soul.
Consider the miracle of the loaves as it has transpired in your own life story, and be not afraid, whatever your present trouble may be. Christ is grand in emergencies, and He displays His power spontaneously, without need of pressing or even prompting. He who multiplied bread for hungry thousands sees your need for honorable employment that will sustain you. Yes, He will give you employment while you are here. Perhaps He will set you in His vineyard to render Him some service in ways you cannot yet imagine. Trust Him for that daily bread, and do not measure His provision by minimum wages but by His infinite riches.
And what says the miracle of the immediate healing of the bent woman, or the casting out of the unclean spirit, to your longing for a child? Nobody can work this mighty miracle of mercy but the Lord Jesus Christ, yet He can do it more swiftly than I can speak of it. The very first miracle Mark records shows His omnipotent force over creation and His tender authority to restore what is broken. Lay this desire before Him who opens and closes the womb, and remember that a Christian is a mass of miracles already. If He grants this miracle, it will be for His glory. If He withholds it, His grace will still be sufficient, and His purpose in your life will prove to be the greater miracle still.
As for your spiritual restoration, look at Peter after the Lord had looked at him. That look severed Peter from the crowd and awakened him. You have been neglectful, perhaps; you feel a castaway, a wreck. Yet the Lord’s look is upon you now, not in condemnation but in love that loves us into faith. The outward means of Peter’s restoration were small, a cock’s crow and a glance, but the inward power was the prayer of Jesus, which is quite sure to be answered. You will be turned again to your old life and hope. You shall be restored so that you may strengthen your brethren and never wander again, for there is such peace, such rest with Him.
Let the Lord lay to the sore of your despondency the plaster of His own love. The miracle of grace that saved a wretch like Manasseh can restore you. You see the indelible character of sin apart from a miracle of mercy, but cry out with the Psalmist, “Wash me, O Lord! Your soul cries out for relief, and rightly so, for these are heavy burdens. But do not imagine that God has forsaken you because your circumstances are lowly. Remember how the physician sits down with the sick, even sharing their table, not because he approves of the disease, but because he must enter into the very midst of it to bring a cure. Christ Himself did not refuse to eat with publicans and sinners, for it was precisely there that healing was most needed. So He draws near to you now, in the place where your heart screams its loudest. He is not distant; He is the physician who stoops to your infirmity.
Do not look at your life with carnal eyes, measuring only what is seen: the wage that is small, the womb that is empty, the body that is weak. To understand carnally is to see nothing beyond the present moment and to despair. But spiritual understanding perceives that these very hardships can become the costly stones built upon the one foundation, tested by fire to reveal a faith more precious than gold. If your work seems meager, offer it to God as the widow’s mite, and it becomes eternal. If your health fails, let it teach you to lean on the strength that never weakens. If children are denied, do not think God is silent. He often delays to give what we ask, not to harm us, but to enlarge our capacity to receive something greater. The disciples grieved when they heard of Christ’s death, yet that very death was the door to resurrection life. Their sorrow came from an incomplete understanding of what God was working. So it may be with you.
Above all, do not cease crying out, even if a miracle seems the only way. The blind men called after Him persistently, and He turned and honored their faith: “According to your faith be it unto you.” Their healing came not because they were perfectly sighted in soul, but because they clung to Him with desperate hope. So it is with your health, your work, your desire for children. This continual asking, this screaming of the heart, is itself a form of faith. And do you think He who said that the flesh profits nothing, that spiritual things alone give life, will fail to restore you spiritually? That is the first and greatest miracle, and He is already working it through these very trials. The soul that has learned to hunger for God in the midst of affliction has already begun to be restored.
Perhaps it seems you have prayed long and heard many words without change. Yet a tree may endure many strokes of the axe before the final blow brings it down. Every prayer, every sermon heard, every tear shed is not lost; it weakens the root of impatience and unbelief. Even if you feel insensible now, the word planted in you will bear fruit in time. I am fully persuaded of this: such eager desire, such love of clinging to Christ in prayer, cannot fail of its reward. God forbid.

Cry out for work, health, children, and spiritual life, but let it all be offered up with the words of faith: “Lord, according to your will, and not my carnal understanding. Restore me, even if it be through fire; only save me, and give me the spiritual sight to know that nothing truly good is withheld from those who love you.” He who healed by a word, or a touch, or even by a seeming delay, knows exactly how and when to answer. Your heart is screaming in several directions at once, and the Lord does not turn away from honest cries like that. You do not have to make your longings sound more spiritual before you bring them to Him.
The Gospels record that Jesus once healed a blind man in stages. After the first touch, the man saw people but they looked like trees walking. After the second touch, he saw clearly. That is a small but important reminder that God's restoring work is not always immediate or tidy. Some healings are gradual. Some come through the natural processes God placed in the body, with rest and treatment and time, and they are still divine. Some healing happens in the mind and emotions even while the body still struggles. I will not tell you that all physical healing is guaranteed. The apostle Paul prayed three times for a thorn in the flesh to be removed, and God did not remove it. God told him that His grace was sufficient and that His strength is made perfect in weakness. Healing is sovereign. God heals some and does not heal others, and His ways are beyond our finding out. It would be wrong to pile guilt on you for being sick, and it would be wrong to claim that God always wills physical healing in every case.
At the same time, your body matters to God. The prophet Isaiah said the Messiah would bear our griefs and carry our sorrows, and one Gospel writer applies that to physical healing: He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. So you are right to ask for health. Pray for it. Ask others to pray with you. But hold the request with open hands. The greatest miracle God has done for you is not a job or a child or even a healed body. It is the forgiveness of your sins and your place before Him through Jesus. That is the restoration under all the rest. Ask Him to restore your soul first and to strengthen you in the inner person, because that is a foundation no circumstance can take away.
For work, it is not unspiritual to want more than minimum wage. Ask God for a position that meets your needs and uses what He has put in you. While you wait, keep taking the next honest step and do not despise a small opening if it becomes a way forward. God often provides through ordinary doors.
For children, the ache is real and God has opened wombs that were shut. But He has also walked godly people through long seasons of waiting, and some did not receive that desire in this life. I will ask Him, if it is His will, to do what only He can do and to give you peace in the waiting. Whether He gives children or withholds them, ask Him to make you fruitful in love, faithfulness, prayer, and service.
Pray with me: Father, you know the screaming of this heart. Provide work that is sufficient. Touch this body according to your wisdom and will. If it pleases you, break through what looks impossible and give children. Above all, restore this soul to the joy of salvation and hold this one steady by your Spirit. In Jesus' name.
