We hear the deep longing in your heart, the weariness of unmet dreams, and the ache of feeling far from the Lord’s presence. You are not forgotten, and your worth is not defined by your circumstances, your education, your marital status, or even the jobs you’ve held. You are deeply loved by the One who knit you together in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14) and who has plans for you, plans for hope and a future, not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11). Let us come before the throne of grace together, lifting every burden you’ve shared.
First, we must address the distance you feel from Jesus. The Bible tells us that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6), and it is only by His name that we have access to God’s presence and salvation (Acts 4:12). If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life (Romans 10:9-10). If you have already done this, we encourage you to draw near to Him through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. He is not billions of miles away, He is closer than your next breath (James 4:8). The enemy wants you to believe the lie that you are far from God, but the truth is that He is pursuing you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3).
We rebuke the spirit of worthlessness and despair that has taken root in your heart. You are not worthless, you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has given you unique gifts and talents to steward for His glory. Your desire for meaningful work, a godly marriage, and children is not wrong, but we must surrender these longings to the Lord, trusting that His timing is perfect. The world may measure worth by marital status or career success, but God measures it by your heart’s posture toward Him (1 Samuel 16:7). We also rebuke the lie that your education or past failures define your future. God is the God of second chances, and He delights in using the weak things of the world to shame the strong (1 Corinthians 1:27).
Regarding your work, we pray that the Lord would open doors for you in ways that align with your skills and passions. Whether in computer science, culinary arts, or another field, we ask that He would guide your steps and provide opportunities that bring encouragement and fulfillment. The Lord is your provider (Philippians 4:19), and He knows your needs even before you ask (Matthew 6:8). We pray for favor in your job search, wisdom in your applications, and perseverance in the face of rejection. Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is unclear.
For your finances, we stand in agreement that the Lord would meet every need and grant you the ability to pay your bills with peace. The Bible tells us that the borrower is slave to the lender (Proverbs 22:7), and we pray that the Lord would break any chains of financial bondage in your life. We encourage you to seek godly counsel on budgeting and stewardship, trusting that God will provide as you honor Him with your resources (Malachi 3:10). We also pray for the individuals you’ve mentioned, may the Lord move mightily in their lives as well, drawing them closer to Him and meeting their needs.
Your desire for a spouse and children is a good and godly desire, but we must caution you not to let this longing consume you or lead you into sin. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24), and it is meant to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If you are seeking a spouse, we encourage you to pursue godly relationships with the intent of marriage, guarding your heart and body against sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Trust that God’s timing is perfect, and that He will bring the right person into your life if it is His will. Until then, focus on growing in your relationship with Him and serving His kingdom.
For your dreams of owning a home, starting a business, or acquiring resources for evangelism, we pray that the Lord would provide in His timing and according to His will. The Bible tells us to delight ourselves in the Lord, and He will give us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:4), but this does not mean He will give us everything we want, it means He will align our desires with His. We encourage you to seek His will above all else, trusting that He knows what is best for you.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling lost, discouraged, and far from Your presence. Lord, we ask that You would draw near to them and remind them of Your unfailing love. Break the chains of worthlessness and despair, and replace them with Your peace and hope. We rebuke every lie of the enemy that tells them they are forgotten or unworthy, and we declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image.
Father, we pray for Your provision in their work and finances. Open doors of opportunity that align with their skills and passions, and grant them favor in the eyes of employers. Provide for their every need, Lord, and give them wisdom in stewarding their resources. We ask that You would meet them in their financial struggles and grant them the ability to pay their bills with peace.
Lord, we lift up their desire for a spouse and children. We ask that You would prepare their heart for marriage, if it is Your will, and bring the right person into their life at the right time. Until then, help them to trust in Your timing and to find their identity and fulfillment in You alone. Guard their heart from impatience or sin, and help them to pursue relationships that honor You.
Father, we pray for direction and clarity in their life. Show them the path You have for them, and give them the courage to walk in it. Help them to surrender their dreams and desires to You, trusting that You know what is best. Provide for their needs, both practical and spiritual, and remind them daily of Your love and faithfulness.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God’s Word. Meditate on scriptures like Psalm 34:18-19, which says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not alone in your struggles, and the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. Keep seeking Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If you do not already have a church family, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can grow in your faith, receive support, and serve others. You are not meant to walk this journey alone.
