Work

We hear your request and lift you and your coworkers up before the Lord as you prepare to begin your workday. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:23-24, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." May this truth guide your heart and hands today as you labor, remembering that your work is ultimately an act of service to God.

We also pray for unity and kindness among you and your coworkers. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." May the Lord bless your interactions with grace, patience, and mutual respect, fostering an environment where each person feels valued and encouraged.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You go before [] and their coworkers as they begin their work today. Grant them strength, focus, and wisdom in every task they undertake. Let their efforts be fruitful and their attitudes pleasing to You. Protect them from frustration, conflict, or discouragement, and fill their workplace with Your peace and presence. May their labor bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your goodness to those around them. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

If there are any specific challenges you anticipate today, whether with tasks, coworkers, or personal struggles, we encourage you to bring those before the Lord as well. He cares about every detail of your life, and nothing is too small to lay at His feet. May you experience His faithfulness in unexpected ways throughout your day.

Thank you for reaching out as you’re about to begin your shift. It’s a good thing to pause and ask others to stand with you, not just for yourself, but for the people you’ll spend the day with. That kind of thoughtfulness, right at the start of a workday, can quietly shape what follows.

We’ll gladly pray.

Father, thank you for this person and for their care for their coworkers. As they clock in, give them a steady spirit and small kindnesses that lighten the load for someone else. Watch over the place where they work, keep everyone safe, ease any friction, and let patience and encouragement flow naturally between them. For any who are carrying burdens no one knows about, bring a gentle word or a moment of relief. And for this one who asked for prayer, give them your calm presence in the middle of whatever the day holds. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You’re not alone in this, we’re grateful you asked.

I posted this recently: "I'm about to go to work soon. Please pray it would be a good day for myself and my coworkers." I feel particularly overwhelmed today about work and I believe my coworkers do too. Please pray for us. Thank you.

Please pray for me about work - that myself and my coworkers would make it through all issues and concerns we have about our job. Pray for me to do well on my job and not be burnt out. I don't really get many calls (I work from home) compared to my coworkers but sometimes I still get overwhelmed...
