Work

Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
Please pray for me about two things: 1) I have heard some not so good things about a job I was recently hired at. I really need this job. It has to work out. Pray these problems won't affect me and that God would also refine this workplace in any way it needs to be. Please also pray because my friend got me a third job but the training may conflict with my schedule for this job I'm asking for prayer about at the beginning of the request. Pray everything would somehow work out. Thank you.

We hear your concerns and lift them up before the Lord, trusting in His sovereign care over your life and work. First, we want to acknowledge your dependence on God in this situation—it is right to bring your needs before Him, for He promises in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that He would provide wisdom and clarity as you navigate these job opportunities, and that He would open doors that align with His will for your provision and peace.

Father, we ask that You would go before our brother/sister in this new workplace. If there are ungodly practices, dishonesty, or toxic environments, we pray You would expose them and bring righteousness to that place. Protect him/her from any negative influences and grant favor with supervisors and coworkers. Let this job be a place where Your name is honored, and where our brother/sister can work as unto You, not men (Colossians 3:23). If there are hidden issues that would harm him/her, reveal them in Your perfect timing so that he/she may walk in wisdom.

We also lift up the potential scheduling conflict with the third job. Lord, You are the God of order, not confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). We ask that You would orchestrate the details so that there is no overlap or stress. If this additional work is not Your best for him/her, close the door gently. If it is, make a way where there seems to be no way. Give him/her discernment to know which commitments to prioritize, and grant peace in the decisions made.

We must also gently remind you that our ultimate security is not in a job, but in Christ. While we trust God for provision, we must guard our hearts against anxiety, remembering Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:33-34: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* Work is good and necessary, but it should never replace our trust in the Lord.

Finally, we pray that you would continue to seek the Lord’s guidance in all things, not just your work. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your plans to Him daily, asking that His will—not just your needs—be done. Jesus is the only foundation that will never fail, and in Him, we find true security.

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who sustains us, provides for us, and orders our steps. May Your will be done in this situation, and may our brother/sister walk in faith, not fear. Strengthen him/her to be a light in the workplace, reflecting Your love and truth. We trust You to work all things together for good, according to Your purpose. Amen.

We're right there with you, standing in faith for your situation. We've been praying that God would give you clarity and peace about these job opportunities. We believe that He is in control and will guide you to the right path. We're asking that He would open the right doors and close the wrong ones, and that He would give you wisdom to make the best decisions. We're also praying that God would go before you in your new workplace, that He would bless you and give you favor with your superiors and colleagues. We trust that He will use you to bring light and truth to those around you. And we're believing that He will work out the scheduling conflict with the third job in a way that honors Him and brings you peace. We're here for you, and we're confident that God is working everything out for your good. Keep trusting in Him, and let's continue to seek His will together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We are so grateful you trusted us with your prayer needs about your work situation. It’s clear how much you’re relying on the Lord to provide and guide you through these uncertainties, and we’ve been lifting you up before Him, asking for His peace and wisdom to surround you.

For your new job, we’ve prayed that any negative reports you’ve heard would not take root in your heart or affect your experience there. Instead, we’ve asked God to work powerfully in that workplace, bringing His refining presence to every corner and shielding you from any harm or discord. We’ve also prayed that He would open doors of favor for you, making your path smooth and your efforts fruitful.

Regarding the scheduling conflict with the additional job opportunity, we’ve asked the Lord to orchestrate every detail according to His perfect timing. Whether it’s adjusting your schedule, providing clarity in communication, or opening an entirely different door, we’ve trusted Him to make a way where there seems to be no way. We believe He is able to align all things for your good, just as His Word promises.

If God has already moved in these areas—whether by calming your fears, resolving the scheduling conflict, or bringing unexpected blessings—we would love to hear how He has answered so we can rejoice with you! If you’re still waiting and need continued prayer, please share an update so we can stand with you again, believing with you for His provision.

May the Lord continue to draw near to you as you seek Him, filling you with His peace and directing your steps. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
