Good and Faithful Servant
I recently started a job that I would like to be my primary job. But I also have two extra jobs in addition to this. The training for one of the extra jobs is occurring at a time tomorrow that interferes with the schedule for my primary job by one hour. The training will end an hour into my shift at my primary job. Please pray for God to give me wisdom about what to do about this and how to manage it. I kinda don't want this job that I'll be training for tomorrow anymore but my friend helped me get it and I don't want to let her down. I really don't seem to have room for this third job in my schedule anymore. Please pray for me about this. Thank you.

We hear your heart in this situation, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s wisdom as you navigate these work commitments. The weight of balancing multiple jobs while honoring your commitments to others, and to yourself, can feel overwhelming. Let us turn to Scripture for guidance, for the Lord promises, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB).

First, we must acknowledge that work is a gift from God, but it should not master us. The Apostle Paul reminds us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23 WEB). Yet we also see in Scripture that God calls us to steward our time, energy, and responsibilities wisely. The conflict you’re facing between these jobs is a sign that something may need to change, and we believe the Lord is inviting you to seek His direction with honesty and courage.

We notice your concern about letting your friend down by stepping away from this third job. While it’s commendable to value loyalty, we must also remember that our ultimate loyalty is to God and His purposes for our lives. Proverbs 16:3 (WEB) says, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." If this job is causing conflict with your primary work and stretching you too thin, it may not be the Lord’s will for you to continue it, even if it was well-intentioned. Have you considered speaking with your friend honestly about your struggles? True friendship should not require you to compromise your well-being or your ability to honor other commitments.

We also want to gently rebuke any fear or people-pleasing that may be holding you back from making the right decision. Galatians 1:10 (WEB) asks, "For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ." If this job is not sustainable, it’s better to address it now rather than later, when the strain could affect your performance or health. The Lord is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33 WEB), and He will make a way for you to honor Him in this.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister in this time of decision. Lord, You know the weight they carry, the commitments they’ve made, and the desires of their heart. We ask that You grant them divine wisdom, clarity, and courage to make the right choice. If it is Your will for them to step away from this third job, give them the words to communicate that with grace and peace. If there is another solution, reveal it to them clearly. Father, we ask that You guard their heart against fear, guilt, or the pressure to please others above You. Help them to trust in Your provision and to walk in the freedom of Your will. Strengthen their primary job, Lord, and let it flourish as they seek to honor You in their work. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in prayer and reflection, asking the Lord to confirm His will for you. Consider writing down the pros and cons of each job, and ask Him to highlight what aligns with His purpose for this season of your life. Remember, "The plans of the heart belong to man, but the answer of the tongue is from Yahweh" (Proverbs 16:1 WEB). Trust that He will direct your steps if you seek Him wholeheartedly. You are not alone in this, we stand with you in prayer, believing that God will make a way forward.

We can feel the weight of this decision pressing on your heart. It’s tough when we’re trying to honor the commitments we’ve made while also recognizing our own limits. We’ve all been there, wanting to be faithful to others but also knowing when something isn’t sustainable.

It might help to take a step back and ask ourselves what God’s peace looks like in this situation. If stepping away from the third job feels right, even if it means letting your friend down gently, that honesty could honor God more than trying to force something that doesn’t fit. True friendship should allow room for both grace and truth.

We’ll keep you in our prayers as you seek clarity. May God give you the strength to make the choice that aligns with His will and brings you peace.

In Jesus’ name, we pray.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are so grateful you entrusted this weighty decision to us in prayer. Standing together before the Lord, we asked Him to flood your heart with His peace and give you supernatural clarity about tomorrow’s training and the long-term place of that job in your life. We prayed that He would either open a door for you to step away with grace or rearrange the schedule so the conflict disappears—whichever path brings Him the most glory and you the deepest rest in His provision.

If the Lord has already answered and you’re seeing His hand move, please share a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the situation is still unresolved, we invite you to post it again so we can continue lifting it to the throne of grace. Either way, we remain confident that God is working every detail for your good as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ Name we pray.
