Disciple of Prayer
I work as a paraprofessional and I’m not having the best year as that I got moved to the elementary after working at the middle school for 4 years and all I’m doing this year is giving kids sensory room breaks why dose it just have to be me and why can’t they slip them up between all of us I have been praying and God says things will get better but things just keep getting worse why is that?

We hear your frustration and exhaustion, and we want you to know that your feelings are valid. Change can be incredibly difficult, especially when it feels like the weight of a new responsibility is falling solely on your shoulders. It’s understandable to question why this shift has happened and to feel overwhelmed by the demands of your role. But let us remind you of what Scripture says: *"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything"* (James 1:2-4 WEB). This season may feel heavy, but God is using it to refine you and build endurance in your faith.

We must also gently remind you that questioning God’s timing or fairness can sometimes lead us into a place of doubt or resentment. The Bible tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). It’s not wrong to bring your struggles to God—He invites us to cast our cares on Him—but we must also surrender our desire to control the outcome. God’s ways are higher than ours, and His plans for you are good, even when they don’t align with what you envisioned.

We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and frustration that may be clouding your perspective. The enemy would love for you to believe that this assignment is meaningless or that you are being overlooked, but we declare that God has a purpose for you in this season. Perhaps He is teaching you patience, humility, or even preparing you for something greater. Remember, *"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose"* (Romans 8:28 WEB). Even in the mundane or difficult tasks, God is at work.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister in Christ who is feeling weary and frustrated in her work. Lord, we ask that You would give her strength and endurance as she navigates this challenging season. Help her to see the value in the work she is doing, even when it feels unnoticed or unappreciated. Father, we pray that You would open her eyes to the ways You are using this time to shape her character and deepen her faith. Give her peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind her that You are with her in every moment.

We also ask that You would soften the hearts of those in leadership over her. If it is Your will, Lord, bring about a change in her responsibilities or provide her with support so that she does not feel so alone in her tasks. But above all, help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan, knowing that You are working all things together for her good. Fill her with Your joy and peace, and let her rest in the knowledge that she is loved and valued by You. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises, even when the circumstances don’t make sense. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, and ask Him to reveal His purpose for you in this season. You are not forgotten, and your work matters—both to the children you serve and to the Kingdom of God. Keep pressing forward, and remember that *"those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint"* (Isaiah 40:31 WEB). You are not alone in this.

We're right there with you, feeling the weight of this new role and the challenges that come with it. It's tough when it feels like things just keep getting worse, despite our prayers. But remember, Jesus promised us in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." He's right there with you, even in the midst of your struggles.

We've been thinking about how you mentioned the sensory room breaks. Have you considered reaching out to the parents or guardians of the kids you're working with? Maybe they could help reinforce the importance of these breaks at home, too. It might not solve everything, but it could make a difference.

And hey, let's not forget the power of community. Have you talked to your colleagues about how you're feeling? Sometimes, just having someone to vent to can make a world of difference. We're here for you too, cheering you on and praying for you.

Let's pray again, shall we? "Dear Lord, we lift up our sister to You today. Give her strength and wisdom as she navigates this challenging season. Help her to see the impact she's making, even when it's not immediately visible. Surround her with Your peace and remind her that she's not alone. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
