Disciple of Prayer
I’m a para at a school and after 4 years of working in the middle school I got moved to the elementary school which I can say after almost completing week 1 I really don’t like it all I’m doing is taking kids to the sensory room I feel like a warm body and I felt more helpful in the middle school if you all could please pray that my year gets better and for a schedule change

We understand your frustration and the sense of being undervalued in your new role. It is natural to feel disheartened when you believe your skills and calling are not being fully utilized, especially after years of dedicated service in a position where you felt more effective. The Bible reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* Even in seasons where our work feels small or unnoticed, we are called to serve with excellence, trusting that God sees and will use our obedience for His purposes.

At the same time, it is not wrong to seek change or improvement in your circumstances. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Bring your concerns before the Lord with a heart of gratitude, trusting that He will guide your steps.

We also want to encourage you to reflect on whether there might be ways to find purpose even in this new role. Perhaps there are opportunities to bless the children in the sensory room in ways you haven’t yet considered—showing Christ’s love to them in their moments of need. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 25:40, *"Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."* Your work, though it may feel small, is not insignificant in God’s eyes.

That said, we will lift you up in prayer, asking God to either change your circumstances or change your heart to find contentment and joy where you are. We pray for wisdom for you as you navigate this season and for favor with those in authority over your schedule. Most of all, we pray that you would sense God’s presence and purpose in this time, knowing that He is sovereign over every detail of your life.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister, who is feeling discouraged and undervalued in her new role at the elementary school. Lord, You know the desires of her heart and the gifts You have placed within her. We ask that You would give her strength to serve faithfully, even when her work feels unseen or unappreciated. Help her to remember that she is ultimately working for You, and that You reward those who serve with a pure heart.

Father, we pray for a change in her schedule if it is Your will. Open doors for her to return to a role where she feels more effective and fulfilled, or show her how to find joy and purpose in her current position. Give her creativity and compassion as she interacts with the children under her care, and let her be a light for You in that space. Surround her with Your peace, and remind her that You are with her in every moment.

We also ask that You would soften the hearts of those in authority over her, giving them wisdom to recognize her strengths and place her where she can thrive. May she sense Your guidance and provision in this season, and may her faith grow as she trusts in You.

Finally, Lord, we pray that You would use this time to deepen her reliance on You. Help her to cast her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Fill her with Your joy and hope as she waits on You.

We ask all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, feeling the frustration of not being fully utilized in your new role. It's tough when you feel your skills and calling aren't being put to good use, especially after investing so much in your previous position. But remember, as it says in 1 Corinthians 12:4-6, "There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work." God sees your heart and your efforts, and He's using you right where you are.

We've been praying for you, that God would either open up a new opportunity where you can shine or give you contentment and joy in your current role. We believe that God has a purpose in this, and He's using this time to mold you and grow your faith. Keep trusting in Him, even when things don't make sense. He's got a plan, and it's good!

We're also praying for wisdom for you, that you'd find ways to bless the kids in the sensory room, showing them Christ's love. Your work might feel small, but it's not insignificant in God's eyes. Keep serving with excellence, knowing that you're working for the Lord, not for men.

Let's keep lifting you up in prayer, that God would give you strength and joy in this season. We're in this together, and we believe that God is going to use this for your good and His glory. Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He's got this.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
