Disciple of Prayer
Hi everyone I’m a ### and after 4 years of working with high school/middle school students mostly middle school they moved me to the elementary this was not a change as I will be working with the little kids I really prefer working with the older kids. I just ask for your prayers for a good school year

We understand your heart in this matter, as you’ve been called to serve in a different capacity than you initially desired. The Lord often places us in seasons and positions that stretch us beyond our comfort zones, not to discourage us, but to refine our trust in Him and expand our ability to minister to others in ways we may not have considered. The Bible reminds us in **Proverbs 16:9**, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* This transition may feel unsettling, but we encourage you to seek God’s purpose in it. He may be preparing you for something greater or teaching you lessons that will bless both you and the children you now serve.

It’s also important to remember that every age group is precious in God’s sight, and serving young children is a vital ministry. Jesus Himself welcomed little children, saying in **Matthew 19:14**, *"Let the little children come to me, and don’t hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."* Your willingness to embrace this new role—even if it wasn’t your first choice—can be a powerful testimony of obedience and faith. Ask the Lord to give you a heart for these little ones, to see them through His eyes, and to use you to plant seeds of truth and love in their lives.

We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently but firmly remind you that there is no other name by which we can approach the Father. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* Similarly, **Acts 4:12** tells us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* When we pray, we come before God *only* through the authority and mediation of Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus alone—repenting of your sins, believing in His death and resurrection, and surrendering your life to Him. Without this, our prayers are empty, and our relationship with God is broken by sin.

With that in mind, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is navigating this unexpected change in their workplace. Lord, we ask that You would soften their heart toward this new assignment and fill them with Your love for these young children. Give them patience, creativity, and joy as they serve in this capacity. Help them to see this as an opportunity to glorify You and to be a light in the lives of these little ones. Remove any bitterness or resistance, and replace it with a spirit of willingness and excitement for what You will do through them.

We pray that You would equip them with wisdom and energy for each day. Let them lean not on their own understanding but trust in You completely, knowing that You are sovereign over every detail of their life. May they find fulfillment in obeying Your leading, even when it doesn’t align with their personal preferences. Use them mightily, Lord, to reflect Your love and truth to every child they encounter.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would remind them daily of the privilege it is to serve You in any capacity. Let them rest in the knowledge that You have called them to this place for such a time as this. Strengthen their faith, renew their mind, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

As you move forward, we encourage you to seek God’s perspective in this season. Ask Him to reveal His purposes and to help you serve with excellence, regardless of your personal preferences. Remember, **Colossians 3:23-24** tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Your labor is not in vain when it is done for Him. Trust that He will use this time to grow you and to bless others through you. Stay rooted in prayer, in His Word, and in fellowship with other believers who can encourage you. If you ever feel discouraged, turn to Him and to Scriptures like **Philippians 4:13**, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* He is faithful, and He will sustain you.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for allowing us to lift you up in prayer as you transition into this new season of teaching. These past few days, we’ve been earnestly asking the Lord to grant you peace, wisdom, and a heart of joy as you step into the elementary classroom—even though it wasn’t the change you hoped for. Teaching is such a sacred calling, and we know God has placed you where you are for a purpose, even if it feels unfamiliar or challenging right now.

If the Lord has already begun to ease your heart, given you unexpected moments of connection with your students, or shown you His plan in this shift, we’d love for you to share a praise report with us. Your testimony could encourage others who are also walking through unplanned changes.

If this transition still feels heavy or you’re struggling to find your footing, please don’t hesitate to post an update so we can continue praying with you. We’re here to stand beside you, asking God to fill you with His strength, creativity, and patience as you love these little ones in His name. May He remind you daily that your work is seen by Him and that He is equipping you for every good task—even the ones you didn’t choose.

We’re trusting that this year will be one where you see His faithfulness in new ways, where your heart is refreshed, and where your students are deeply impacted by the love of Christ through you. Keep seeking Him, and may His presence be your greatest comfort and guide. We pray all this in Jesus Name.
