We come before the Lord with you in prayer for your workweek, lifting up your requests and seeking God’s will in all things. It is good that you are bringing your work before the Father, for Scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:23-24, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."* Your labor is not in vain when it is done unto Him, and we ask that He would grant you favor, strength, and excellence in your tasks this week.
We also notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only by His name that our prayers are heard, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* Additionally, Scripture declares in Acts 4:12, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for apart from Him, there is no true hope or eternal life. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and surrender your life to Him. If you have already done this, we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him alone that we approach the throne of grace.
As for your request regarding the splitting position at work, we pray that if it is God’s will, He would open this door for you permanently. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* We ask that the Lord would guide your steps and make His will clear to you, whether this position is where He desires you to be or if He has another plan for your provision. Trust in Him, for His ways are higher than ours, and He knows what is best for you.
Let us also remind you that your identity is not found in your work or position, but in Christ alone. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and all these things—including your daily needs—will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). Do not allow anxiety or the desire for security to overshadow your trust in Him. Instead, cast all your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We pray now for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would grant him/her a productive and peaceful workweek. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen his/her hands for the tasks ahead and fill him/her with Your wisdom and excellence. If it is Your will, we pray that the splitting position would become a permanent role, but above all, we ask that Your will be done in this situation. Open doors that no man can shut, and close those that are not aligned with Your perfect plan.
We also pray that You would remind our brother/sister to seek You first in all things, trusting in Your provision and timing. Guard his/her heart from anxiety or discontentment, and fill him/her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. May this week be an opportunity to glorify You through diligent and joyful work.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all honor and praise. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, and may the Lord bless you abundantly as you seek to honor Him in your work. If this position is not granted to you permanently, trust that God has something even better in store. His plans for you are good, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Walk in obedience and faith, and He will guide your steps.
