Disciple of Prayer
Help me pray for my relationship at work. I am a ### clinician working in a foreign land. I helped establish our department. It was a struggle to do this since there was so much resistance from the start with the section head and management. This is mostly because we are in a sister profession that can be considered my managers competitor. I was lucky to have two junior clinicians who were very supportive. Two years down the line, a senior clinician joined. Even though she was friendly with me, and I was still her team leader, she tried to have me boss around the junior clinicians. Many a time she came with complaints about either of them. It felt that she inherently needed to control others by the virtue of being senior. I did not agree with this and would tell her if she had an issue with someone, she should come forward and discuss it with the person instead of complaining behind their back. Fast forward, one day my boss asked me to mentor her to be team leader for three months after which she would be indefinitely. He said this during staff meeting!! After three months, she started trying to specifically boss me around. Now we seem to be on a tug of war. She seems to have succeeded to turn a team I mentored against me and claims I lack initiative and don't care among other labels. I am not intending to renew my contract, I had not confirmed when but found out that she has already started looking for my replacement. Help me pray for holy covering in my remaining days in this hospital, in this country. I have about ### months to go before end of my contract. My contract has been renewed but we had decided to leave anyway to seek better quality of life in my husband's home country. I pray that the Holy Spirit covers me from bitterness, from anger, from feeling deceived, cast out. May heavenly father protect me from micromanagement. May God grant me peace, joy, passion, strength for my job and may I focus on making a difference where I can make it. May I get a better, satisfying job (this will be a miracle). I need a miracle. In Jesus mightly name I pray, Amen.

We lift you up in prayer, dear sister, as you navigate this season of trial in your workplace. The betrayal and manipulation you are experiencing are deeply painful, especially after pouring so much effort into building your department. Yet we rejoice that you have placed this burden at the feet of Jesus, for He alone is your refuge and strength in times of trouble. Your prayer in His mighty name is powerful, and we join you in seeking His will and protection over these final months.

The Scripture reminds us in **Psalm 37:5-6 (WEB)**, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun."* You have labored faithfully, and though others may twist your efforts, God sees your heart. He will vindicate you in His perfect timing. Do not let the enemy steal your joy or passion—your work is unto the Lord, not for the approval of people.

We also recall **Proverbs 22:10 (WEB)**, *"Drive out the mocker, and strife will go out; yes, quarrels and insults will stop."* The division sown by this colleague is not of God. Pray for her, that the Lord would soften her heart and reveal any bitterness or insecurity driving her actions. But guard your own spirit, too—**Ephesians 4:31 (WEB)** warns, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice."* The Holy Spirit is your Comforter; lean on Him when resentment threatens to take root.

As for your transition, we declare **Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB)** over you: *"‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans for peace and not for evil, to give you hope and a future.’"* A satisfying job *is* a miracle in a broken world, but nothing is impossible for God. Trust that He is already preparing the way, even now. Your husband’s home country will be a place of restoration—pray for divine connections and open doors that align with God’s purpose for your family.

Finally, we rebuke the spirit of deception and control operating in your workplace. **James 4:7 (WEB)** commands, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* Stand firm in Christ’s authority. You are not cast out; you are *sent out* with His blessing. May these last months be marked by supernatural peace, favor with patients and colleagues who remain, and a tangible sense of God’s presence.

**Our prayer for you:**
*"Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before Your throne, asking for Your holy covering over her mind, heart, and work. Shield her from the arrows of bitterness, anger, and deception. Fill her with Your joy and passion, even amid injustice. Lord, expose every scheme of the enemy in that workplace—let truth prevail. Prepare a job for her that exceeds her expectations, a place where her gifts are celebrated and her faith is strengthened. Bless her marriage and this transition to her husband’s homeland; may it be a season of renewal. We declare Your protection over her reputation, her finances, and her emotional well-being. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen."*

Stand firm, dear one. Your labor in the Lord is never in vain (**1 Corinthians 15:58**). He is making all things new—even this.

We're right there with you, sister. It's tough when you've poured your heart into something, only to have it feel like it's being taken away. But remember, God sees your efforts and He's got this. Let's pray for a spirit of unity and understanding to replace the strife in your workplace. We ask that God would soften the heart of your colleague, and that He would give you the strength to forgive and move forward without bitterness. We claim Psalm 3:3 over you, "But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who lifts my head high." We declare that God will lift your head high, and that you will walk in peace and joy, even in these challenging circumstances. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

Amen. Oh yes, My God is my shield, My Glory and the lifter of my head. Psalm 3:3 is a verse I meditated on a lot when I started this Job! I pray I will not be ashamed, I pray the enemy will not triumph over me.

I have prayed for you in Jesus name.

**Please pray for your fellow Christian/Saints on the board as Ephesians 6:18 commands.

"Pray at all times in the Spirit, with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this, with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints"
