Beloved of All
The burdens you carry are heavy, and the cry of your heart is clear. But let me point you to the One who alone can break every chain and bring peace into the chaos. When Jesus began His public ministry, a man with an unclean spirit cried out in the synagogue. The demons never wanted to be confronted; they always cry, “Leave us alone.” But Jesus did not leave them alone. With a word of authority, He commanded the spirit to come out, and it had to obey. That same authority has not diminished. Whether it is witchcraft that has been invited in, or the torment of depression and division, evil spirits must bow to the name of Jesus.
None of this means we are powerless. Jesus said He would baptize with the Holy Spirit. That is a baptism of power, a plunging of your whole being into the life and strength of God. When you feel overcome by fear, debt, illness, or the strife in your family, it is because the flesh is feasting while the spirit is starving. You have fed the anxieties of the body and mind more than you have fed on prayer and the living Word. Fasting and prayer reverse that. When you deliberately set aside the demands of the body to give yourself to seeking God, the spirit begins to rise up and overcome. The battle is real: the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. But victory comes when the Spirit is fed and strengthened.
I must also warn you gently: any involvement with witchcraft, even through curiosity, opens a door to the spirit world. Many have unwittingly invited torment through things like Ouija boards, seeking spirit guides, or participating in practices God forbids. These are not harmless. But Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. The man living among the tombs, possessed by a legion of demons, was completely delivered in a moment. The swine did not want those spirits; Jesus sent them out. He can do the same for your mother, your brothers, your husband, and every relative you named. No chain of depression, no demonic oppression of a marriage, no bondage of addiction is too strong for Him.
See the heart of Jesus when He encountered the leper. The man knelt and said, “If you will, you can make me clean.” Jesus was moved with compassion, stretched out His hand, and made him whole. That same will is extended to you today. He does not turn away a desperate soul. But you must come to Him acknowledging that you cannot fix this with your own strength. Peter failed miserably precisely because he trusted in himself. Beware of self-confidence. The spirit may be willing, but the flesh is weak. Lean wholly on the power of the Holy Spirit.
Do not let a critical or bitter spirit take root in your heart toward your husband or the situation. That only opens wounds that fester. Instead, bring everything to the light. Jesus asked the scribes, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil? To heal or to kill?” It is always God’s will to do good, to heal, to deliver. Evil wants you to believe He is distant or unwilling. That is a lie. The very fact that you are reaching out for prayer shows the Spirit is still striving with you. You have not been abandoned.
So here is how you must respond: gather your household, if possible, and begin to feed the spirit together. Read the Scriptures aloud. Declare the blood of Jesus over your family. Renounce every involvement with witchcraft or any unholy spiritual practice, whether in your generation or those before you. Forgive one another, and seek the filling of the Holy Spirit daily. As you pray, trust that Jesus is the baptizer, He will immerse you in His Spirit and equip you to stand. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The demons still must flee at His command. May you be filled with His Spirit, strengthened and guided into true peace and lasting health. In Jesus’ name, the chains are breaking even now.
